My View: CARDIFF TODAY PLAYED IN RD1 FACUP AND I JUST CANT UNDERSTAND AS WE WERE AWFUL AGAINST BOTTOM CLUB POSH AND YET WE FIELDED A STRONG TEAM??

How can we expect play so badly?



BBM once again made changes from previous game away at Wrexham, 4 changes today, but to be fair a very strong City side still.

Why has BBM Never played the same team in two consecutive games??


There will be those who will say, it doesn’t matter as we need to concentrate on the league and I agree to a certain extent as we only have a small squad what BBM Says he wanted, but we fielded a very strong team and played awful.


We played unbelievable well away at Wrexham, yet the majority of our games lately we have looked very poor.

Half an hour on the clock. Best Posh chance fell to Harry Leonard inside opening three minutes. Visitors have enjoyed last few minutes and have just won their first corner, to Posh’s 8.

Cardiff had improved, but were still getting no where.

70mins Cardiff Subs: Robertson and Turnbull make way for Joel Colwill and Wintle.

Posh immediately made a double Sub.

We seem to struggle against teams at the bottom Burton for instance mentality thing maybe?

Judging by Way we played you would say he set up the team wrong with wrong tactics! Cannot see any other reason for such a poor display.

No consistency in our squad. Tbh I’m fed up on what team turns up for us.

Disappointed by that but not devastated.

We should have won with that team and I want us to win every game.

Always tough to play a team when they've just got a new manager.

But if we were going to lose a game, don't mind too much that it's this one. We have a cup run in another competition so personally don't see it as the end of the world that we've lost this.

Onto Blackpool next week, much more important.

Inconsistency will be the buzz word this season I feel,

we've seen how good we can be and that is the standard we need to try and aim for on a consistent basis but feel it will take us a while longer to get there

Sounds like another embarrassing defeat.

Yoyo results club, inconsistent, no words,never mind pick yourselves up, back to concentrate on League One, and get a good result against Chelsea, we'll soon forget who we had in the 1st round.

The inconsistency is pissing me off. I just don't get it. The players can't pick and choose when they show up.

And I'm not buying this excuse (that BBM has used) that we're a young side, finding out feet, learning match by match. Sick of hearing this as we're in November now so everyone should know what their job is on the pitch.

Winning is a habit and this inconsistency doesn't help building confidence.

By the sound of it BBM was as frustrated as us today.

Turnbull is so out of form, not sure what BBM sees in training, but i haven't seen it on the real pitch.

The FA cup matters to me and to be fair a good team was selected. We were so bad though and it is all about the midfield. How Turnbull ever got near a Celtic team , I have no idea. Literally every game someone plays a suicidal pass in or near our own area

after Wrexham expected a win today especially with the team selected NO EXCUSES NEXT WEEK AT BLACKPOOL promotion is now the Priority we need to get out of this league THIS SEASON over to you BBM

I'd rather lose this game than another league game

I agree entirely with this. A very, very young squad will be like this, as another poster commented, yo-yoing from brilliant to woeful.

It is as frustrating as it is wonderful - we know how we can play, but we are nowhere near consistent enough. Hopefully, we will begin to get this consistency and with more tactical flexibility as the season transpires and we'll have enough to be right up there come May.

Inconsistency has been shocking and could cost us dearly

Any team that starts with Robinson and Turnbull is going to struggle if the opposition are up for it.

Neither is a starter in my team

I expected a tough result today and I won't lose any sleep about us being knocked out, especially with the league cup.

Apparently BBM likes his stats, well I hope he looks at the amount of games we've won when Turnbull starts. Yes there's 10 others just as responsible but he offers very little both with and without the ball and he constantly slows our attacks down with extra touches.

If this loss means we go with Colwill or Wintle instead, then it will definitely be worth it.

If we had been asked on monday, you can either go to the next rnd of lge cup or f.a.cup, would most of us not picked the lge cup?

That’s what worries me annis is our consistency,we need to go on a run,don’t care what anyone says that team today should have been more enough to beat Peterborough,like surely the players on an high after that Wrexham game?
