BBM has international break now to decide what he does next?
My View ( understand last night as International duty) BBM seems to not know his best team yet and I do think he changes the team far to much and his inexperience is showing.

The win against Orient was a steal,We did not even deserve to draw. We are now leaking goals and defending a lot and not passing like we originally did?

Constantly changing the team doesn’t help
Wed Oct 08, 2025 8:18 am
We are struggling against the poorer teams, BBM does not know how to deal with them.
We've lost one nil at home to the bottom teams of League 1 and League 2

He needs to find his best back 4 and stick to them.
Rest them for cup games.
Fair enough mixing the middle up, but the back line needs consistency.
The back four we had had the best defence in the league, I'm not sure why it's been changed so often, apart from injuries we need to stick with what works.

Swapping centre half partnerships every game don't help although other clubs have sussed us out in my opinion and nulled the full back and winger hugging the touchline he plays every game over and over one of them is man marked all the time now I've seen from teams. There totally pointless at times only purpose they serve is to tippy tap it about 35 times back and forth. What happened to the days of beating the full back and crossing a ball if there was 3 or 4 on the box every chance to actually try score goals. We must whip it on 1 in every 20 I'm sure. It's a pass it back to your own goalkeeper from there corner edge of the area these days and repeat even if your losing with 5 mins to go it's bizarre todays football in my opinion.
There is no other way he plays really same set up every game although he did change it Vs Orient which we should have lost comfortably but come back to lead 4-3 when he went 442 after being 2-3 down.

We've already lost 3 home games this season in all competitions.

“Lets be honest we have been poor in at least 50% of our games this season. This team selection from BBM is shocking tonight. Manager doesnt care and that shows in the performances of the players who look like they couldn't give a
fcuk”
Been awful in half our games and then about the team last night when we had no players cos of international duty.

You can't really pick him up for team selection.
A chunk are away representing nationalities from U17s to Senior. He has to field a number of players who started last Saturday. It's slim pickings to be honest. The spine of that team are starters, have started, some have champions league experience and a recent £19Million transfer. I didn't see an ounce of any of that.
The performance on the other hand was awful. Not really landing a glove on Newport county at home (excluding St Marys street

), is exactly what Annis is labelling it as - embarrassing. We had enough senior players to have given more than that. A disgusting attitude last night.

We started the season with Lawlor and Fish the 2 centre backs and we only conceded 1 goal in the first 5 or 6 games, and that was a dodgy penalty, so why does he keep changing them, they are the corner-store of the defence, they build an understanding, it doesn't make sense to me. By all means make changes for these cup games to give other players game time but come on BBM go back to what you were doing at the start of the season and start playing through the lines instead of back and forth across the back four, it gives the opposition time to regroup.
Wed Oct 08, 2025 12:12 pm
A consistent defence is essential so he needs to stop tinkering.
Salech and Robinson should both start as they can score goals.
We are 3rd in the league which is fantastic and still in 3 Cup competitions.
Wed Oct 08, 2025 12:34 pm
He should stick with fish and lawlor kapakio bagan that's how we started the season well trying to force osho in has caused 2 goals already silly back pass and diving in to give away a penalty in the box,
he osho will have to bide his time rather than murphy trying to shoe horn him into the side,
I know he is quality and he brought him in ,but that's tough ,fish to be fair has hardly put a foot wrong

Poor against Port Vale, Wimbledon, Luton, Exeter, Bradford, Burton, Orient, Newport. That's over half our games...

Citeh play with the double triangles out wide just to force compact defences to engage them as Warnock scared them years ago with a narrow back 4, narrow midfield and three forwards who defended from the top.(He also introduced Man for man, marking to the Premier League, the dinosaur:clap: )
If you engaged and went to the flanks, KDB would destroy you! If he didn't, David Silva did. Its a well-trodden pathway on how to defend Pepball. We have Rubin Colwill, who is above an L1 player and needs to be respected but needs help and this is where hios brother helps and he can carry the ball and move defences.
Wintle is our best sitter or "6" by a country mile, but he needs options in front of him and Turnbull isn't that guy. Yesterday, we relied on Perret, who had a decent game, but he is miles behind Rubin.
We'll soon see if BBM is a one-trick pony; he may be, and end up a very highly paid development coach rather than a resourceful manager. He needs to tweak the game plan without jeopardising his cherished philosophy.

I’d imagine it’s far from easy being City manager but it is concerning most supporters see and say the same thing. We can’t all be bloody wrong.
* Stop playing Chambers as not only does he slow the game down, defensively he’s a liability.
* Drop Turnbull. Similar to Chambers. Zero creativity and of late zero effort.
* Play Salech and Robinson together. Allow them to feed off each other.
* Demand we get the ball into the opposing box at every opportunity. At this level defenders make mistakes especially when under pressure.
I’m still clinging on to the opinion that we must be a good team if we’re winning when playing badly, but can’t shake the thought that we should have lost against Vale, were very lucky against Wimbledon, Luton were the better side on the night, 97th minute equaliser against Stockport, hammered by Bradford, sideways shit against Burton with the inability to shoot and a repeat against Newport. I firmly believe BBM has all the players and firepower he needs. He just needs to be more direct and less tippy tappy. This is not the Premiership so quit trying to play like we are. Goals win games. Not possession.

A lot were saying needs to play chambers.
How do you fit Salech and Robinson into the same team?
We had lots of shots against Burton.
Turnbull has had a couple of bad games but was quite effective start of season.

International break at the right time.
Gives us chance to breathe and hopefully come back stronger.
Thu Oct 09, 2025 2:41 pm
I’m worried.
We have gone back to playing like last season with a leaky defence and a disjointed midfield.
