Tonight Cardiff City Embarrassed themselves and it was gutt

Tonight Cardiff City Embarrassed themselves and it was gutting to see Cardiff play so bad.

Absolutely gutted we played so bad

For weeks now we’ve played not well.

BBM goes out to Win every game and for me City were not in it.

It might be a Mickey Mouse Cup, But we soon celebrate when we win.

Cardiff City fielded a mixture of youth and some very experienced players against Newport County who are 92nd in all Leagues:

At the age of 16 years and 117 days, Rob Tankiewicz became our youngest ever player tonight!
Then 65min: One record breaker replaced by another.
15-year-old Axel replaces Rob Tankiewicz.

Newport have his season won 1 game out of 11 League 2 games this season

Wintle and Turnbull were awful and Kellyman did virtual nothing.
Chambers as Captain for me also virtually did nothing

First-Half: Not a shot on target by Cardiff, Newport fully deserved their h/t lead 0-1 Shocking.

The first 35 mins were all Newport and they had a number of good chances and we made a coupe of excellent saves.
Cardiff never had to make Newport goalie save one shot.

44mins: Ex Cardiff player Tom Davies scored they deserved it, Cardiff had been awful.

56mins: Cardiff goalie Wow great save by Turner

Triple Sub:One record breaker replaced by another.
15-year-old Axel replaces Rob Tankiewicz

Two further changes as Jack Kingdon makes his debut, coming into the game alongside Callum Robinson. They replace Will Spiers and Omari Kellyman.

72mins Bagan replaces Parfitt for Cardiff.

82min: Newport get a goal disallowed and looked ok.

Newport deserved it and it could of been 3/4 nil

Pathetic

Total over reaction. Its the bloody Vertu trophy!
People need to get a grip. 10 changes, 6 debuts tonight for a bunch of kids. Youngest players ever in City shirts. Literally 16 year olds! This bares no resemblance or link to the league. As for not playing well for weeks. Wigan, Burnley, come on!

That was pathetic to be honest. This whole two sitting on the touchline with a winger and full back it's boring and pointless in some games as we don't cross the f*cking ball or get to the byline only pass it back to the center half back and forth back and forth.

Tinkerman is becoming a one trick pony when it comes to tactics. Although it don't matter who we lose to it's only a shitty cup some will say that's how stupid football has become.

Let them have their 5 minutes of crowing, they'll be out of the league sooner rather than later.

Exactly. Who cares. Well done you beat mostly our youth team.

The senior players were all awful tonight. Chambers, Turnbull, Wintle, Salech were all shocking. Kellyman did nothing. Shame for the youngsters making debuts - these players should have stood up and made this a night to remember for the youngsters.
County deserved the win. Understand we have players away on international duty, but those there did absolutely nothing

Some people will look at players away on international duty as the excuse but seriously we don't have a team or setup to beat Newport County at home? Sorry I've seen enough I want an experienced manager not taking anymore chances with inexperince no difference with riza or Hudson or any of the other tries we've had I've had enough of excuses I've been following city since 1968 this maybe My last until we have a change at the running of the club tan out

It will be a good experience for the lads making their drbuts etc. But the tedious sideways possession football amongst the centre half's Turnbull and Wintle has no end product, and is a yawnfest.

Why I am upset is because our more experienced players were Dreadful tonight against a Team 92nd in the leagues win 1 game in 11 games

It's a mickey mouse competition & we have most of our good players on international duty.

This is perhaps a fair comment but how often do you think the senior players have played with tonight's blend of literally our youth team? Its a team game and we were clearly disjointed.

Newport deserved it and could have won by more.
We only had one real chance. An absolute SITTER MISSED BY ROBINSON. He headed wide unmarked from less than 6 yards.
On a positive note (and from only a short period of playing), DONCZEW LOOKED A REALLY PROMISING PLAYER at only 15!!

Anyway its the league that matters. :bluebird: :bluebird:

Chambers

Wintle
Turnbull
Kellyman
Salec
Are not kids

This confirms that the squad is too small with no strength in depth. We looked like a Sunday league team tonight using the same failing tactics. A few injuries to the first team and we are up shit creek. Lack of investment will bite again.

We hardly disagree

But I do on this, we should of been capable of beating Newport anyway
They outplayed us

They are kids, half will never make it, FFS lets be honest here.

Turnbull is useless other than 3rd string 6, but he is so slow and weak he can only pass it backwards. The kids were petrified to make a mistake, but without the Colwills we are one-dimensional.

We need another proper 8 over the winter window

How anyone can excuse that is beyond me. Kids or no kids it was shocking.

This goes to show how weak our depth is.

Understand that, but surely with the experience of Chambers and Turnbull in particular they would have demonstrated some form of leadership and stood up and been accountable. They clearly train alongside the youngsters and know their strengths and weaknesses. Not one of the senior players did anything of note until Robinson came on and had a go.
This competition is an ideal opportunity to give the youngsters game time alongside a few senior players who are on the periphery of the starting side instead of constantly sending them out on loan to lower league sides and hoping they get game time, which regularly doesn’t happen.

I still dont understand why we hardly whip balls into Salech to head

Option A pass it around
Option B Salechs head

Yeah but with FOUR kids, I doubt BBM's idol Pep could do that. Plus Turnbull is gash

I have said from day one we don’t have strength in depth outside the main team and Winter is here

Not bothered about this result in the slightest. Great experience for some many extremely young players
