CROWD FOR OUR NEXT HOME GAME BRADFORD.

Wed Sep 10, 2025 11:59 am

Our best to date was plymouth 21,500 bradford like plymouth will bring the same,
it will be interesting to see if home fans can increase,
as home fans attendance fell by 800 for plymouth in comparisson to our first home game against peterborough.
I would predict after the long lay off with internationals and away at stockport we should be pushing 23,000.

I also think a 3 o'clock kick off will help as 12.30 kick offs probably mean kids who play Saturday morning games wouldnt make the early kick offs plus live on sky shades a few hundred off as well so wouldn't be surprised to see close to 24k for the Bradford game

That may help 3pm kick off helps me travelling for 3 hours one way,

Win on Saturday and I'd be disappointed if it's less than 23k.

Bradford will bring a fair amount. It's been referenced on another thread that it might be lower than it would have been because they've got Newcastle away close to this game and it's a poor area, so some of their fans won't be able to do both.

But they'll still bring minimum 1,000 I'd say.

Our manager and team deserve a good crowd for this good start.

Ned

We should do our best to get all cardiff city fans buzzing and returning to the terraces ,
I cannot understand the ticket office not giving out info on latest ticket take up we should all be trying to build and help ourselves.

I am going with 23,000 but it will depend on bradford fans,as they do have newcastle in the cup so they may not do both in numbers,
same as us with burnley or wigan

Crowd should be for top of table clash 1st & 2nd 26,000 but we know sadly it won't sunderland had sell out after sellout in this division.

Your talking chalk and cheese comparing us to Sunderland? in fact comparing them to any club in championship is not fair comparison given the way football is followed in Sunderland! But crowd of 23k+ is likely

To me the family stand as to many places for kids never more than half full on a Saturday... not sure free places is answer as get same as with non attendance like do with st holders but certainly massive discount to make it ultra attractive us worth exploring.. otherwise cut kids capacity and open up seats for general sale.

We're only 7 games into the season so not a huge uptake yet but make this game (1st v 2nd) 7 games from the end of the season & it may well be a sell out, or close to it.

Bradford had sold 2100 tickets as of last Wednesday according to their forum so I'd expect them to bring at least 2500 so I don't think the attendance will be far off 24k

Does anyone have an update on ticket sales ?

Why compare us to other teams...it's are we are what we are...if we get 20… 23k that's what it is. Sunderland are a bigger club than us so will get more fans.

Living in South Wales for 45 years you should know how many football fans so called support the premiership teams....

Over 20k on league 1 is decent....last time in league 1 was much lower than this. But again different era and times

I tend to agree with you here!

We have a notorious fickle support-base, many of whom only turn up when the going is good. However, our current crowds, given where we are in the EFL, and with all the negativity surrounding the ownership, is actually not too bad

We can’t force people to attend, and unlike at clubs like Sunderland and Swansea, our punters have other things to occupy their time

Encourage all you can, or even take a friend, but the truth is, we can only worry about getting ourselves there! :ayatollah:

Nothing else to do in Sunderland; we are a Capital City with lots of things to do and see.

I will be there as usual.

Depending on finances, I may do Wigan away as well. Not done an away yet this season and this feels like a good one to start with, not been up there in a while.

Apparently Bradford have Sold Over 2,200 Tickets, which is fantastic for all that way and they have Newcastle away in the next week, (6,000).

Surely Now a 25,000 Home Crowd for Cardiff City :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
