Potential loans are currently battling for a place in there current club squads.
We wait to see who is available.

Correct.
Wrong to suggest that loans are free too. There's usually a loan fee and of course wages.
Tue Jul 22, 2025 3:36 pm
I understand loan fees but they not millions like a transfer fee could be we have freed up 12 players whose wages are available for loan players

I'm sorry but nobody has explained why we haven't signed anybody at least on loan it's either tan has decided there's no money available after relegation or something we haven't thought of hmmm

Or because of all the reasons already mentioned including by you. Just because you don't want to hear them doesn't make them any less valid and that's a fact jack.

My bad, wasn't even thinking that type of jack, should have used a capital J. I meant Jack as in Jack Sparrow not jack as in jack basterd.

I don't think we'll be signing anyone any time soon because of the buy out but hopefully I'm wrong. Maybe a couple of loans at the end of the window.
Tue Jul 22, 2025 7:31 pm

Yes - But these 2 players our manager wanted U21 - are on Under £10.000 a week - which is a lot less than what have gone ???
Tue Jul 22, 2025 11:08 pm
James McAtee's annual salary at Manchester City is £780,000, which translates to £15,000 per week. This contract was signed in July 2023, and includes a pay raise, according to GiveMeSport.
James McAtee - Is not a first team starter for Man City - But is the captain of the England U21's .
So any player from Man City U21 is not on a big wage - If he is not a 1st team player

Nothing to do with wages, clubs don’t usually let players leave on loan until they have covered that position for the season or want to analyse a player further.
So usually loans don’t happen until right at the end of the window.
As for permanent signings, this is the big issue. But not so bad if it means Tan is leaving.

Tan is not leaving before the 1st transfer window

Unfortunately the take over is a hindrance for us with transfers and credit for 1 thing by the board this summer they have been active and BBM has been trusted to bring players in he wants as said previously 2 loan deals for Man City youngsters have gone in and where 1 is highly rated and wanted by championship clubs the other wants to come here but clubs are aware now of the potential change of owners so will want to see how that unfolds and get more out of the club money wise and this is facts.

Still don't understand how/why we have not got in anyone to this point and I am not expecting Us to buy anyone
We should have added in the loan market - Yes there is still time - But I want the squad ready before the 1st game.
This squad needs adding to it - we will pick up knocks - suspensions and who knows someone else will leave

Apart from Tsunoda, no more players are expected to leave before the end of the window.
Loans will come in but not likely until towards the end of the window due to the fact that PL teams are still sorting out their squads - and their season doesn't start until two weeks after our's.

I agree to a point except about loans lots of prem teams have already loaned players out to championship league one league two teams we only club not to sign a player this is badly run by the club and coach I've heard people say we have a really good squad but we got relegated bottom of the championship conceading 73 goals we badly need new additions no more excuses please

The lack of transfers are inexcusable. Our first game is in 8 days! It's a disorganised shambles, we have fallen behind with signings and we're playing catch up as usual.
We will continue to concede so many soft goals and lose so many points with our current squad. A long, tough, frustrating season awaits.

I'm not a glass half empty bloke but wouldn't the worst possible scenario be that we sign no one before the transfer window ends and any expected and hoped for take-over fails to materialise.
I know it sounds really defeatist but this is Cardiff City, obviously it could go completely the other way and we sign good talent and get taken over.

I will repeat what I have said many times:
This squad is good enough for at least top six in this league
The best loans always happen at the end of the window, remember PL squads aren't sorted yet so won't loan out the players they're undecided on where they'll go yet.
Their season doesn't start until two weeks after our's.
Fri Jul 25, 2025 1:03 pm
I can only assume that the powers that be must also think we are good enough to be in the top six with this squad, unless, of course we do see some new 'quality signings' arrive over the next month or two.
Imagine the reaction on here if there are no new signings and we are in mid table or worse as the season progresses!

I'm sorry but you're in cuckoo land.
Our squad is nowhere near good enough.
Saddens me to say, but you will soon see.
It's so obvious we will keep conceding and losing.
