New rumored name of SA investor

Seems a new name has been put out there on social media platform X for this mysterious South African investor we have been wondering about.

The name is Gary Otto. This comes from the Username IamNotABot who as many will know that use that platform does seem to have a good amount of insider information from the club and is well known for putting out accurate hints about player signings.

As for Gary Otto himself there isnt alot of available information out there on him, apart from him being a shareholder of Sutton United and this short article he wrote about himself and his interest in football to date.

Surely due to having part ownership of Sutton United he wouldn't be allowed to have anything to do with us due to multi club ownership rules

Not sure but doesn't it depend on the amount of the shareholding? And if its a problem I would imagine he would sell the Sutton shares as they are a very small club. Incidently apparently he is a Leeds fan so he will know all about us!

Yea I was thinking maybe he is selling his 10% in Sutton as I'm pretty sure the rules are pretty strict around being involved with multiple clubs

Also I'm sure he must just be the face of a much wealthier group of people as otto himself isnt very wealthy in the terms of what we would need to push on I doubt his net worth is even close to the dictator himself

Its not , apparently there is a middle man than people know and will come out after they buy us that has connected the club to the investors .

This Guy Gary Otto hope he’s got some serious backers behind him. Yes he’s rich but not in football terms. We need serious investment to get us back where we belong.

This Gary Otto guy seems good. He transformed Sutton, helped them get promoted to league 2 from the 5th tier. They were favourites to go straight back down but they consolidated their place coz they invested in youth. Worked wonders apparently to get their ground up to scratch so they could play in league 2.

He also absolutely lives and breaths football...how refreshing! And one of the 1st things he did when he got Sutton was hire a director of football. Only one negative, and its quite a big one...he's a Leeds Utd fan haha

Interesting reading he as tried for 15yrs or so to get into football club ownership before finally ending up by accident at Sutton United... he does live breath football he's just the kind of guy we want and need at city to lead a consortium ....

Still leaning towards Bale’s bid as preference as most of his investments are tied up within Cardiff the city and he appears genuine as wanting to enhance the area’s potential, with a Premier League football team no doubt even more likely to boost his other businesses.

If its Gary otto involved he is a genuine football kind of guy who will have city's interest at heart! Soon as took over at Sutton brought in Dof and other measures to enhance the club they improved after he took them over. So whilst agree about tan part otto doesn't see football as a play thing..
