CCFC- PRIDE

Fri Jul 18, 2025 3:27 pm

I’m going to throw this out here!

How about a Pride Day at the stadium? I think it would be great to get all the diverse groups of people who support our mighty Bluebirds together, and perhaps get some of our players to attend. We could have some guest speakers! Ex-players and people who are passionate about our club- I would love Annis to give a speech on the day to all of us, I’m sure we would all get behind him.
There could be rides and everything, so are we up for it? Me and my partner Gus think it’s a great idea! No nasty comments please just suggest how we could go forward with this.

The club have given the rainbow flag lot a flag in the corner of the ground ( like most clubs these days ) . Proud bluebird’s , not really a football flag in my opinion but there you go . Gender neutral bogs next.

Or well I tried, didn’t mean to offend anyone (especially Annis sorry)

But could you imagine a sea of rainbow flags and others marching from Canton to the stadium, then all outside the ground “maybe on a match day” to show how proud we are! It would definitely send a strong message to the away supporters about our club and fans. :bluescarf:

You’d get loads there Rocky.

When I read this opening post I read it as it wasn’t intended as a political stunt or a wind-up. It was a genuine invitation to explore how different Cardiff supporter groups might come together on shared issues, including—but not limited to our Proud bluebirds supporters. (Who are just as passionate supporters of CCFC as you)

It’s disappointing to see the idea dismissed so strongly when right now all Bluebird supporter groups should be united in the common cause of Tan out & supporting the team.

While I respect that everyone has the right to focus on the causes they’re most passionate about, unity between groups doesn’t mean losing our individual voice. It means recognising that progress often comes from working together even when views are different.

Now more than at anytime our supporters need to be united & as a forum who have been disappointed in the action and turnout at recent protests against our current regime perhaps now is a good time to look at bringing everyone with us.

Bring a tan out flag or banner if you want to to join the protest then we are all together,
we don't need your separate pride flags,
i am not gay and don' t need a flag to tell everyone I am not keep on your bedroom wall.

I like you was disappointed reading the opening statements as I thought it was going to be about showing some pride towards Cardiff city football. Not prancing about in a rainbow flag

Nobody said anything about rainbow flags the opening statement says about briging all the diverse groups that support Cardiff City together. :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Now I know its a wind up. " A sea of rainbow flags marching from Canton"- thought of it has made me laugh All the old the crew from the seventies and then the eighties and 90's days of the soul crew proudly marching together with their rainbow flags in unison with the various diversity groups.     Police would probably join in as well as they usually do with Pride marches. We could even wear half and half scarves. Rainbow on one half, bluebirds on the other.
