Issac Lee

Apparently we have triggered his release clause, don’t know nothing about him but he’s highly rated by all accounts.

Defender.

Plays for Flint Town.

Like you say, apparently highly rated but I also don't know much about him.

A few other EFL teams have also activated his release clause.

Cardiff City, Crawley Town and Walsall have all activated the release clause of highly-rated Flint Town United star Isaac Lee ahead of formal negotiations with the defender, sources have exclusively revealed to Football League World.

The three clubs are bidding in earnest to prepare for the 2025/26 campaign, which will take place in League One for the first time in more than 20 years for Cardiff, while League Two beckons for both Crawley and Walsall.
We are ina better position for his signiture, let hope BBm knows about him :laughing6:

Forgive me but we are pushing the boat out, is this what murphy meant by quality over quantity.

Wanted by other EFL clubs so must have something about him. Just because we haven't heard of him, that doesn't mean anything.

I doubt many had heard of Jamie Hardy.

Because he's only 20, I am wondering if he would initially go into the U21s.

Re: Issac Lee

I would liked us to have got in a leader at the back with a bit of experience.
We have young centre backs in fish and Lawlor...unless Daaland is going.

What happened to the Leicester scouts because they signed some non league player called Vardy?

People were saying ‘who’ ‘another unknown player’ about Salech

No comparison to Vardy at all, I think the point that is being made are our scouts now trawling the Welsh leagues?

I'm all for youth but no point looking for players for U21s we need first team players, clearly the term "has beens" seems to look like no old dogs coming in?

Interesting read

"That's not to say Cardiff would be a bad move, however it would likely enable Lee to develop as a better technical footballer under a highly-regarded head coach with an esteemed track record of developing some of the country's finest talent during his days in charge of Manchester City's Elite Development Squad, although the factor of playing regularly also has to be considered in his thinking. :bluebird:

I actually recall some people calling him "another Kanga".

I don't know anything about this player but if he joins I will give him a chance like the rest of them, certainly won't be writing him off before he joins.

I think this will be Salechs defining full season to show what he can do, as for if the Flint boy comes in lets hope he doesnt get coached by Purse!

There's some brilliant young footballers in the Welsh leagues they just need that lucky break to show case there skills at a higher level, never write anyone off without giving them a chance they might just surprise you

You know you don’t just stop looking for young players because you need senior players?

You’re asking us to be mediocre again.

You never stop looking. We are definitely looking at senior players, but you still always continue to look for young talent to develop regardless.

It was always going to be the cheap option from the start hence a coach given a chance let's realistic but your post has common sense while others think we are going up as champions with what we got and a coach given a chance who's done nothing in management bar relegation as a manager but personal opinion of course. There be some unknown kids on loan or a freebie or two that's about exciting as it's going to get this season in transfers :bluescarf:

Seems like posters still continue to not understand this concept.

As long as you’re not spending big bucks, it’s smart to bring in talent and see how they develop. This doesn’t mean anything at all with the first team.

In January I remember someone (can’t remember who) stating we should sign Evan Ferguson.

It did make me giggle, but at the same time it shows how out of touch people actually are

Re: Issac Lee

Realistically he will be cheap. But for those who’ve not watched the clip, for a player who is reportedly either 6’5 or 6’6 he certainly looks like he can shift which is rare. Negativity on this forum is beyond. He won’t break the bank and could be a gem. Either way it’s a small risk to take. Give him a chance.

The next vardy, what opposition has he been competing against for some to make the assumption we have discovered the next bale a flint town ,my point was also have our scouts had to cut back also no scouting abroad but around wales.

Monty, you scout everywhere.

You scout local, nationwide and abroad.

So there’s no real issue is there? He’ll cost peanuts, likely play in the U21s and we will continue to look for first team players in the meantime.

It’s not like he is gonna cost us a mil.

Agree with this.

Show me if he's better than what we already have no one can because he's not played at any real level except league of Wales so it's not really for our first team so pointless talking about him

I've already said I don't anything about him.

But unlike some, I give every player who joins a chance and don't pre-judge them.

Won't cost much so it's worth the gamble.
