Annis Swansea play an open type of attacking game that will suit us , I can see us giving them a football lesson and a good beating ! :ayatollah:

as long as we can get the ball off them in midfield i think we will tank them, but if they win the midfield battle i can see a draw or a hard faught win for the bluebirds, but midfield is the key! :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Martyn, that could really suit us and maybe give them a hammering :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Spot on Annis. If we play that bad all season but still win every game we will be going up as champions. All the best teams have the ability to snatch three points whilst playing poorly. Its something weve lacked in the past but something that it looks like we can do now, and will make the difference between us playing Premiership or Championship football next season.

I di think DJ may have to look at the midfield I think DJ may have to look at the midfield for the Jacks game and maybe sacrifice one of his attacking options, be it Burke, Whitts, Chopra or even Bellamy and get a fit again Drinkwater back in the middle to help us win the midfield battle and chase Swansea all day giving them no room to play.

Olly v Pratley is key .......... and somebody in defence needs to do a job on Sinclair too . Cant give him an inch of space ! Bellamy will slaughter Tait , cant wait for that mis-match to happen

we were absolutly dominated last night. i also feel all this hudson slating is a bit harsh. coventry had all the ball and play last night, and created very little so he cant have been that bad to be fair.

the question is why are we playing badly, the team oozes quality from most positions, why can we not find form and dominate games :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Re: " PLAYING BAD "

Last night i cant remeber Bellamy or Chopra probably our 2 biggest players even touching the ball last night.

And even if these 2 werent in the game last night and we still won is a very good sign.

When Bellamy and Chopra get a run of 3-4 games then they will be on fire.

Remeber last year Bellamy against Man Utd when he smashed 2 in, in a local derby. Just imagine what is will be like against Alan Tate and Gary Monk  hahaha

He sailed past Evra and Vidic, dnt think Monk and Tate are quite the same

I agree Annis we will only get stronger and better. Leeds on monday is crucial if we win up there then i will believe.

Hudson handles McCormack then we should win :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

But i loved Ross, he was my favourite player :(

Super Super Ross
Super Super Ross
Super Super Ross
Super Ross McCormack :ayatollah:

Whilst by no means the only reason, a huge amount of the problems in last night's game stemmed from the abject kicking of our keeper.

Heaton's kicking was appalling, and whilst he didn't kick any straight out yesterday, he sill gave the ball directly back to them virtually everytime. Either he can't work out in his head that aiming his hoofs for Chopra won't keep possession or, as I think the case is, he simply cannot kick the ball where he wants it to go.

In fairness to Heaton he was fed several poor backpasses, also when kicking from hand the 2 full backs ran away and didnt give him the option of going short.

Nobody upfield won a header all night. Bothroyd was Ben Turner's bitch.

Agreed. It was Heaton's goal kicks I was talking about. Loading the pitch on the one side, then on a couple of occasions, slicing the kick down the centre of the field on the outside edge of the players he'd moved.

I think the team needs time to Gel. How many games have Oil, Bellers, Chops, Jay, Whitts, played together? I saw Bellers and chops making runs off the ball but nobody picking that killer pass or wanting one to many touches and losing the ball. Once the players get that understanding of each other we will show our true class :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

For goodness' sake we are one of the best 2 teams in the division. We have the second best defensive record to a typical negative Warnock team.

WE ARE NOT PLAYING BADLY - we just aren't flashy but workmanlike and talented. (a good combination).

Unfortunately I can only attend home games due to owork/family commitments, but I haven't seen a better side than us this season.

come on people - get over yourselves!

hope so.
Centre forward. Centre Half.Left Back and central midfield please.

All except for the centre forward who can just be cover for Jay have to be better than what we've got, and that wont be cheap.

On the positive side we won ugly last night and IMHO the players are showing real bollox at the moment, winning games whilst playing poorly.

Re: " PLAYING BAD "

We have always played in patches under DJ, well for a few weeks followed by a few poor weeks.
We havent been playing well so far but the difference this season is we still seem to be picking up points. I have no doubt we will go on a run of playing very well when things click.

I would like to see 3-4 players come in Jan but we just as much need to get rid of 3 or 4 of the dead wood.

Re: " PLAYING BAD "

Wed Oct 20, 2010 9:44 pm

We probably need another centre half and a left sided defender as cover for Naylor. A Jay type striker would be nice but probably expensive, and we need cover in other positions more.

As for the dead wood, those are essentially last season's team, which was at least good enough for the playoff final and not bad as backups. I can't see us persuading many people to join us to replace the existing subs on the bench, particularly attacking players of whom we have plenty.

3 or 4 new may be nice, but 1 or 2 good defenders might be most useful.

Of course, its also possible that Rigott will get over his injury problems and be the answr to our centre half "problems"
