Salech Wanted : Two Championship clubs have actually approached us for Salech .
We need Salech big time :
So as promised NO :
Murphy / Tan
All offers shoukd be turned down flat.
Remember Tan would only keep it anyway.
Show we want to go straight back up
Sun Jun 22, 2025 8:57 pm
We have to keep Salech at all costs!
Sun Jun 22, 2025 8:59 pm
He will be sold. I think he will push for it too if he can play in the championship for a full season.
Sun Jun 22, 2025 9:01 pm
He has to stay if we are serious about challenging for promotion
My worry is if tan is going to sell the club he will start cashing in on as many of our valuable assets as possible

It would have to be a big offer, as Salech isn’t on big money, so the club are under no financial pressure to sell. Equally, the player himself is happy at the club, loves Cardiff, and loves the supporters
He isn’t pushing, and the club should be raising his contract to show his value to our club

He has to be kept. We know how difficult it is to find a good striker and he's a brilliant one.
Will be a big problem if we sell him.
Wouldn't be surprised if he wants to stay.

Let’s hope you’re right and I’m wrong. Be massive if we can keep hold of him.

It’s up to him. If the player wants to leave to play at a higher level who can blame. But if he’s happy to stay then all offers should be rejected.
Sun Jun 22, 2025 9:22 pm
But what will happen when a championship team come and offer to double his wage.
Sun Jun 22, 2025 9:24 pm
I think he will be the difference in us challenging for promotion and not, that’s how good I think he can be.
Sadly if a club comes in and offers a decent sum I think Tan will snatch their hand off. Can see a promotion chasing team like West Brom coming in for him.
If he wants to leave to play at a higher level then you can’t blame the lad. End of the day the club would’ve brought it upon themselves after seasons of bad decisions which led to our relegation
Sun Jun 22, 2025 9:30 pm
We should not be surprised by this it was expected.
Now let’s see what happens.

Actually, it’s not (quote) “up to him”. He’s only been here a few months, he is happy but more importantly under contract, so it would be a huge gamble on his part to try to ‘
force’ a move only for the club to say no
I fully understand the interest but those clubs apparently chasing will be seeing a Tan-led Cardiff as an easy target and a sale of our best striker ahead of a season we really need him, is one that would only be softened by an awful lot of money that would not could) be
reinvested in the squad Reinvested????

That’s the end of that, then!

Valuable assets??? We’re a league 1 club with squad full of players that got us relegated, I would hardly think there’s much value for him to cash in on!!!

Needs to stay .

I believe if Salech stays we will be promoted.
Will score 20-30 goals

What I mean is if he wants to play at a higher level then why would we want him if his heart is not in it. Personally I think he will stay.

There's no loyalty in football anymore. If Salech can treble his wages and play at a higher level it's a no brainer for him. If he does go it shows the club has lack of ambition and forward thinking. Unfortunately this means he will probably be sold if right offer comes in. I only see us moving forward with a new owner.

It's not up to him, it's up to us, I would imagine he is nailed on striker for the season in BBM's mind, therefore he stays.
If Tan doesn't want to sell at a league one low price, he keeps Salach as the best player we have to try push us back up.

He'll stay why would BBM sell?
He needs him for the goals for a good season, he stays like Jay Stansfield stayed at Birmingham.

He may want to leave if he sees a club in the Championship comes in and increases his wages which are supposedly quite low.
Double his wages and put a clause in that he can leave next summer if we fail to get promoted this season

He deserves a decent contract, one of the best and most committed players last season, we provide the chances he'll score them.

lot will depend on which two clubs, any guesses annis.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 8:43 am
If we loose salech we will be right back where we have been the last 6/7 seasons without a recognised striker and it's been our achillies heal .

I'd guess one would be Norwich.

Whilst it’s true that he’s under contract, and ultimately it’s our decision to let him leave for the right price or not, a player that doesn’t want to be here downing tools and bringing morale down isn’t good for the squad.
We saw it with KM.
That said, we really need to keep hold of him.
As Monty said above, we have been without an out and out striker for a long time and it has been a long time coming that we finally have one.
With Robinson likely to leave, we need him now more than ever.
Mon Jun 23, 2025 9:05 am
We are league one salech I hope stays but I wouldn't hold it against him if he wants to play at a higher level and better wages football career is very short so whatever happens good luck to the guy
Mon Jun 23, 2025 9:13 am
If we are serious about promotion next season we should do everything we can to keep salech!!
Mon Jun 23, 2025 9:25 am
Come on Tan, show us your up for this promotion battle. We need to keep Salech!!

These days I think players have all the power. Not many clubs will force a player to stay.
If I was a player and had a better offer from a more stable, ambitious club I think I would be tempted to leave the circus that we currently are.
