Recalling Anthony Gerrard

Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:38 pm

If we recalled Gerrard would it affect Olli's loan with us?

There is probably a clause in the contract that says no recalls can be made but it better than Hudson making mistakes and no defenders on the bench.

Re: Recalling Anthony Gerrard

the radio say hudson has been awful :(

Re: Recalling Anthony Gerrard

Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:39 pm

Depends if they have a clause in it that allows them to recall. Its two separate deals so it could not effect it automatically

Re: Recalling Anthony Gerrard

Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:53 pm

If it's a long term loan the player CANT be recalled unless he is sold be the parent club.

....not happening. Watch Riggott come in for Leeds.

Re: Recalling Anthony Gerrard

i think hudson has been our best centre half without doubt this year, yes he does the odd mistake, but who dosn't make mistakes at this level? for some reason everyone just targets him for abuse, at the end of the day he's a city player and we should be cheering him on not shouting at him to get off the pitch :ayatollah:

I feel the same way, Yes it's one or two mistakes but it's one or two mistakes per game, He has cost us to many goals this season already. We are lucky our attackers can counter the mistakes, but for how much longer?
I seriously think if he is not replaced we will lose to many goals and it will cost us.

Back it up then.

What mistakes did he make against Millwall, Hull, Doncaster, Palace ?

1 mistake against Bristol City (giving away free-kick), 2 mistakes against Cov last night (poor pass which led to goal and then slip which Heaton covered). Half a mistake against Sheff U, what else ?

Forget Gerrard, he's gone and he's gone because Jones thinks the others are better, better for the squad. Hull are hardly setting the world alight and he didnt look much cop at the CCS for them either.

Why do you always defend him Tim? Every time you hold his corner? Why.....Do you know him on a personal level?

Re: Recalling Anthony Gerrard

I like Gerrard but I dont think he will play for Cardiff again IMO

Re: Recalling Anthony Gerrard

Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:29 pm

I think Hudson has had a decent season so far..... not amazing, BUT decent. He has certainly not deserved the criticism some have given him already this season. he has made mistakes, but he has also probably saved us a couple of points so far too.

he deserves his place on his performances so far.

Nope. I just think a lot of what said is unfair. My reasons speak for themself.

Seems like there always has to be a scapegoat. Passed on now from Mcphail to Hudson.. I dread to think what it would be like if we really were shipping loads of goals (our defense is the 2nd best in the division), or losing games.

Wish i could agree but the attack is carrying the defence and that is not acceptable IMO.

Thats not reflected in the 'goals against' column though.

Defense carried the attack last night because they were shit.

He is certainly not on his own, but i feel he should be doing so much better. Our defence is the 3rd worst in the division Tim.

Isnt he club captain and should be leading by example.?

We have the joint second best defensive record in the division - he can't be that bad.
