First things first,i would never boo a welsh player because he plays for them lot down the road,he is the wales captain (at the moment) but i do honestly beleive that he is well over rated,he is certainly out of his depth at international level but then collins has looked suspect as of late, what are your views?

I will be surprised if Willaims is picked for Switzerland. Thern again who else is there? Just goes to show how shit Welsh football is.

Williams should be playing centre back where he plays week in, week out.

Apart from Bale they have all been awful tonight. Williams is not over rated at all. No tempo to the game and he likes to play at a high tempo. Some of the passes coming his way were shocking.
Collins has gone backwards. He seems to always dive in instead of staying strong on his feet.
I bet Bellamy enjoyed his chinese though tonight! I cant see him in a welsh shirt again now.

ashley is f*cking shit!! out of his depth

He isnt fit Chief. he has more commitment in his little finger than Giggs has in his whole body. Had Bellers played tonight he would of been out for months but you would like that wouldn't you !!

Funny is it not that nobody complained about Bellamys committment to Wales until he came to Cardiff, funny that is it not?

Jones should have not played him last saturday as with the international break he could have maybe come back a lot fitter and fresher. But ive heard this week that hes been struggling again with the injury. Jones is better off keeping him in cotton wool as if cardiff want promotion they will need him 100% at the business end of the season!

Bellamy is fit enough to play every other game. Thats why he played Saturday.

Bloo lets get this straight now. There would be not one club in this Country or England that would of rested Bellamy on Sat so he could play tonight. Until the game finished on Sat he was a Cardiff player and Wales had no right to him. Once the game had finished he was Wales property. But the guy cant play that many games his knee is shot. For his commitment to be questioned is wrong deep down you know that if he was fit enough to play he would of.
He has fallen out with many a manager because of his commitment, as someone said on this thread his commitment has only now been questioned because he plays for us.

f*cking idiot! bellamy is a proper patriot! 3 games in 10 days returning from injury? C'mon think about it!

ashley williams is massively over -rated he has only played for stockport, before going the the jacks where he has had 5 midfielders playing infront of him+protecting him, rogers has changed the system hence they conceed goals at a rate now,as for him being captain it just sums us up as a team+shocking management we have had to put up with along the years, williams, ricketts, craig morgan, steve evans, the list is endless, hope we get something to be proud of within the national team over next few years,on a positive gareth bale is looking world class at the moment,at left back his defending is suspect, playing in midfield he is a joy to watch+is destined for a top top club

If Bellamy can play one game a week as suggested then he could have played tonight and missed Tuesday though surely?

He is no Midfielder.

2 games in 7 days? would you rather he got hurt tonight and seriously antagonised an existing problem, spelling a possible few months out? Our mid-field tonight was shite.....1 man doesn't make team.
Cant believe people questioning bellamy's integrity.

Williams has been plYing Cm for you as well hasn't he jack?
Fri Oct 08, 2010 9:56 pm
he is shit,i didnt want to post a topic saying that while wales were playing, well over rated,i would say that if he played for the city, the guy struggles at CB and there is no way he can play in the middle of the park,he is not a ball player and he does not break up play,he looked half decent last year for the jacks with a decent midfield 5 in front of him

Aww whats the matter/ we got a fully fit top notch striker or the fact you're inferior and alway will be?

I was there tonight and Williams was truly awful. Others had poor games or were anonymous but well before the final whistle, the sheer disdain I'd been feeling for the inept performance from the man entrusted with our central midfield berth had in fact turned to sympathy. It was a horror show from a solid Championship centre half played out of position.
No. The only man who deserves the flack that should come his way is Brian Flynn. Given two games to effectively pass his interview, he plays one up front, at home, against the side who had already lost their first two games of the campaign. He set out not to get beaten rather than to grasp his opportunity and take three points.
Ok so it was a negative 4-5-1 tonight but it was the personnel he chose in those roles that compounded his cautious approach to the point where really it's hard to count more than 3 proper chances for us (Gunter, Morrison and the header in the last 5 mins from Bale's whipped in cross - didn't see who that was.) If he had to start with one up top (and he shouldn't have) he would have been better served dropping Williams into his natural position of centre half, Ledley assuming the role of the deep lying midfielder, Vaughan the busy passer about the field and crucially Andy King as the midfielder willing to join up and get beyond Morrison. That midfield three is balanced with each one at least playing a role that they are accustomed to. Has that midfield got enough steel? It's arguable, however within the first 10 minutes it was clear Bulgaria had nothing and looked a side coming off the back of two defeats. Rather than a cautious formation, Wales did have the players there tonight to create enough chances and really take it to an opposition lacking in confidence. Sadly our heirarchy decided a centre half in the middle of midfield was the way to open our account in Group G.
I could get angry, dispondent, renounce my Welshness - or I could count the days until yet another annoying International Break is over and there's at least 10,000 more in the CCS than tonight for the visit of our Wurzle 'friends' currently suffering cricked necks from looking up at the rest of the Championship

Sorry but just got back..........and had a few, Now I'm trying to keep this both impartial and balanced but I've been watching Wales home and away for many a year and what I witnessed tonight from a supposed Wales captain was nothing short of embarrassing. Williams was inept at every part of his game tonight shocking in every department. If thats all we have to offer in a leadership capacity that's my last game at home until it changes.......obviously away is a very different story...it's all about the crac. Surely Williams is not only no where near good enough to start for Wales but shouldnt even be in the squad?!?!?! That is without doubt the worst captains performance I have ever endured in many a year.
As an aside I took my kids tonight for the first time and they loved the stadium and facilities (including a thirteen year old), so some things are going in the right direction eh?!?!?

Surely your jesting...Bale, whilst giving his all, was wasteful all night. Yes full of tricks but a bit too predictable and Bulgaria had him sorted after about 60 mins, Overated.....Williams.......Jesus, how can you over rate a pile of the preverbial???? He was absolutely shocking tonight and if you can just remove the rose tinted glasses for 5 I'm sure you'd agree.
Oh and for the record I would agree about Collins....another premiership destroyer; BIG, HARD AND POWERFUL which is what they now look for! Seems to have lost his footballing ability doesn't he!
Sat Oct 09, 2010 1:22 am
bale was our only threat.
he must have put the ball into the box, 20/30 times hes gonna waste a few.
its hard to look good when your playing with 9 others (excluding hennessey after tonights display) that were dogshit.
as for people picking on ashley williams yes hes a jack bla bla bla, but he was one of 9 players equally as shit as each other!
Sat Oct 09, 2010 1:29 am
Milly, I'm not picking on him (he's bigger than me, as are most small children over the age of 6) I just thought he gave the ball away cheaply, never created or broke up play and was just second rate on every count........only my opinion.

Understandable but I really thought he was poor, not necessarily in effort but in quality,I actually said to my 9 yr old that I really hope he's fit for our game against the Jacks because he's so bad........she just stared at me...mainly in confusion!

Maybe she was thinking "Why doesn't dad realise he'll be playing centre back and not in midfield for that game?"
Sat Oct 09, 2010 8:52 am
Seeing as Gunter and Ricketts are both out for WSwitzerland, I reckon Ashley Williams will go back to centre back, where he has always done a decent job for Wales. Maybe this myth he can play in both midfield and cntre back is just that. A myth perpetrated by the jacks to make their own player seem better than he actually is, because he's no midfielder
