A forum for all things Cardiff City

This was on Second Tier Today:
But for me it was worse than embarrassing and it was a disgrace to our clubs name and history, I will never forget or forgive:
It broke me and for me it was the worst time ever in my 52 years (52 yrs a Season Ticket holder)of following Cardiff City, and the badge needs to change and get rid of the worm.
I’ve seen some very low times, but this was by far the lowest for me and its never been the same.
What’s the most embarrassing day in your club’s history?

Without doubt that time when we turned to red.
I'm not too sure what angered me the most. Tans arrogance, the Board bending over to him or was it us fans, excluding Bluebirds Unite, who decided to wear the shirt.
We sold out overall but those that rubbed it in like the Red leader well its good riddance to him and his like now they don't support the team.

Sadly with you on all this Ian.
Over those 4 yrs I attended over 30 meetings trying to get our identity back and also I came up against certain fans who laughed and even attacked those that stayed BLUE.

i've said this before, but the moment we went red, i stopped going, for the entire time we were red i didn't watch us, neither tv or at the stadium. it wasn't my club at that point. since then i go to all the night games (due to work on the weekends) and something feels like its missing, i'm slowly still regaining my love of it all, but something has gone since that happened.

Remember standing in the canton that night sure it was Brighton home, with my blue retro Cardiff top looking around ashamed and so close to walking out

I left at h-t Brighton home, I felt physically sick watching clowns / idiots holding the despicable scarves up to have photos with.

I was in the Family stand. There was one guy besides me holding a Blue scarf while the rest held the giveaways. It felt like I was on Quicksand being swallowed up. Worse night ever watching us, losing 2-0 had no emotional effect on me.

Oh yes it has to be this shambles......changing to red. A f*cking disgrace. I will always remember the bluebirds unite march from Cardiff Castle, everyone wearing blue, and some kid was there in a full red kit! He was only a youngster but I was f*cking tamping with whoever his parents were for allowing that! I was so tempted to yank him out of the line up pictures that were being taken, the little fucka was right at the front, we were already a laughing stock because of the colour change, and there he was at an anti red we want our colours back rally wearing the full kit! How f*cking stupid must his parents have been to allow that to happen and think it was OK? Now that was bloody embarrassing

Before the season started the change to red did not seem to concern me much . However when we came out for the first game at home in red it really hit me that it just was not right Even the fact we had one of our best ever results that day did not make up for it.

Red scarves (Brighton game I think) felt like I was an away fan. I never stopped going but that little dragon on the bottom of our current badge is a constant reminder of the rebrand

A Friend just sent me this of him Glenn Villis and a couple of friends who Stayed BLUE, Surrounded by the Despicable Red.
