Callum Robinson is out injured for at least 5 games.

Sabri Lamouchi:

"As one door closes, another opens. Who will now seize their opportunity with Robinson out."

SABRI LAMOUCHI:

"Of course we have the players and the squad for scoring goals that. We have quality. We have to do more. Each player has to do more to try to change that."

Team News: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Asked about the two Callums' injuries, Lamouchi said after the match: "When you play three games in six days, of course you have some problems.

"But I don't think they are important problems. I hope!"

Cardiff could welcome Rubin Colwill back into the fray after he missed the last three matches. Colwill is not injured, fit and ready the same as Isaak Davies.

The only potential negative to last night were injuries to Callum O’Dowda and Callum Robinson, two players who add real dynamism to @CardiffCityFC going forward.

Elsewhere, Ebou Adams remains out following surgery on his knee, while Jamilu Collins is likely out for the season as he continues his recovery from an ACL rupture.

Connor Wickham is in contention for his first start after coming off the bench against Birmingham City and Reading

The Opposition's Manager - David Wagner

Wagner was appointed Norwich boss in January, after Dean Smith was sacked.

They have won three, lost two and drawn one in his six games in charge.

He is probably best known for his time in charge of Huddersfield, where he guided them to the Premier League and kept them up the following season.

Later he would go on to manage German club Schalke and Swiss side Young Boys.

Lamouchi:

“The landscape has changed slightly now. Yes, Cardiff have played two more games than the four sides below them, but they are now five points above the drop zone. It's always better to have points on the board than games in hand, the old adage goes, and Lamouchi has given his most confident assessment yet of Cardiff's survival chances.”

"This is an exciting challenge but not an easy challenge," he added. "I said yes to it for two reasons: it's an important club, Cardiff. And for the squad, because I believe in these players and their quality. It's just finding the right way to talk with them and the right way to play. It was the perfect plan in Birmingham and tonight, I am very happy for that.”

Callum Robinson and Callum O'Dowda are going for scans later today.

O’Dowda is thought to be feeling slightly better, Callum Robinson is a major concern.

Jaden Philogene, is not gaming a scan so that looks positive for the weekend.

Norwich top-scorer ruled out of Cardiff game:

Norwich's top scorer Josh Sargent has been ruled out of the game against Cardiff City this weekend.

The Bluebirds travel to Carrow Road for their next instalment of Championship action on Saturday, where they will take on mid-table Norwich.

The Canaries, however, will be without their biggest goal threat, with Sargent having netted 11 goals for the Norfolk club this season.

“Josh has an ankle injury, so unfortunately he will be out of tomorrow’s game and then the game at the weekend," manager David Wagner said yesterday ahead of the club's game against Birmingham City tonight.

"Teemu (Pukki) is a doubt for tomorrow’s game, and we’ll make a late call on him.”

If Pukki, Norwich's second-top scorer on 10, is also not fit enough for the weekend that will represent another big boost for the Bluebirds.

I think you might be ok, but will need to go to a kiosk.

Because our sales are so low, they are going to make the away end smaller and let Norwich fans pay nearer us.

Big blow for Cardiff City. Top-scorer Callum Robinson out until after the international break with a grade two hamstring tear

Robinson will miss at least 5 games.

Cardiff City have been dealt a major blow in their bid for Championship survival with top goalscorer Callum Robinson ruled out until after the international break.

Robinson appeared to be struggling in the final 10 minutes of the win against Reading last weekend, feeling his hamstring and hobbling about until he was eventually brought off in injury time, with Cardiff finishing the game with 10 men as a result.

The forward, who has seven goals and six assists this term, went for a scan on Tuesday and manager Sabri Lamouchi confirmed that his worst fears were realised.

"It's the worst case," Lamouchi said. "He will be not available for sure not before the international break. One month. The next five games he will be not with us.

"It's his hamstring. At the end we supposed it was cramp. It was just a hamstring. We did some tests and it's a grade two (tear). The next couple of games he will be not in the squad and not available to play.

"This is not good news. Because he was doing well. Scoring, assisting. He is our top scorer. And it's difficult to score for us this year. So we need to find a solution. We can't complain.

"I'm disappointed for him because he worked so hard against Middlesbrough, Birmingham and Reading, with assisting, scoring, great performances. We will miss him."

That means he will miss games against Norwich City, Bristol City, Preston North End, West Brom and Rotherham United, a crucial stretch with City hovering just four points above the relegation zone.

In slightly more positive news, though, Lamouchi confirmed that Callum O'Dowda, who also went for a scan on his knee on Tuesday, is "absolutely" available for the clash against the Canaries on Saturday. Jaden Philogene, who also ended the game with a limp, has been cleared to play.

As Lamouchi alluded to, Robinson's absence will be sorely felt in a team which has struggled for goals all season. The Bluebirds are the Championship's lowest scorers this season.

However, his injury presents an opportunity for someone else to step in and make their mark. Bluebirds academy products Isaak Davies, Rubin Colwill and Mark Harris all played in the under-21s' midweek match against Millwall this week, with the latter scoring a peach of a goal to open the scoring.

Asked whether they might now figure in light of the Robinson news, Lamouchi added: "They are training with us and training good.

"They are absolutely good boys, with potential. If we can use them, we will do it. Any player who is able to help the team get maximum points deserves to play."

Cardiff City Mixed injury news:

Cardiff City will be without Callum Robinson for five matches, but Callum O'Dowda and Jaden Philogene have been passed fit for the clash with Norwich City this weekend.

One month. The next five games he will be not with us."

O'Dowda, who also went for a scan on Tuesday after a knock to the knee, is fit to play, while Philogene's injury was not deemed serious enough for a scan.

' David Wagner receives injury boost '

David Wagner could welcome star man Teemu Pukki back into his Norwich City squad for the upcoming clash with the Bluebirds.

The Finnish international has returned to training and, if he emerges unscathed, could well be involved at the weekend.

However, on the flip side, Kieran Dowell looks set to be out of action until late April following a knee injury picked up against Birmingham City.

"If everything goes to plan, Teemu will train today. If that is without issue, he'll be in the squad," Wagner said.

"Kieran has a knee injury, he will be out until the second part of April. We wish him all the best and will support him to get back on the level that he has shown.

"He won't need surgery but it will take time. It happened very early, after five minutes when he had a great movement in the box. I was quite surprised after the game when I saw the diagnosis on the scan.

"We will miss him like we miss Josh, and we miss Teemu. But even though we've missed them, everyone has done their job and we haven't got carried away with injuries.

"We have hope that Josh will be back before the international break but not tomorrow and probably not Millwall."

Chaos from Norwich! They gift the ball away to O'Dowda, who is then tackled in the box, it falls to Wickham who strikes from close range - but it's blocked! Chance for Cardiff, that.
