Mark Hudson:

Perry Ng is being monitored. We will give him as much time as he needs. He got a whack. We will see what the situation is before the game. It was above the ankle.

Mahlon Romeo still hasn’t been able to complete a session yet, so another one to monitor. It’s not too bad. He is on his way back. We will have to see how he progresses in the next day or so.

Rubin unfortunately has not been able to complete a full session. He has a protocol to get him back to the field of play and he hasn’t completed that. We’ll monitor that over the next few days. He is important to us and we could do with him back.

Let's just give them the three points now. The players never get it. Never felt more certain of a derby defeat in my life. 2 v 0 Jack's and we'll be lucky to get nil!

I think we gotta to go 3 at the back so Denham come# in with Kipre and Ng.Odawda moves to right wing back with the Everton boy left wing back.Ralls,Rhino and Wintle in the middle with Robinson and Harris up top.
Simple :laughing6: 0-2

Watched them lot against Reading Tuesday and Reading were pathetic. They were gifted 2 goals by defensive errors against the run of play I'll add, but then stood off and allowed them to play their passing game.

Nothing changes with them. If you stand off them and allow them to play it will be death by passing.

For once I actually think we have the players to play a high press. Their defenders all have a mistake in them, we can't allow them to stroll to the halfway line like we did in the previous games.

Force them to go long and win the battles. Their wingbacks are no where near as good as last season and I actually think we have an advantage down the flanks.

Some of our counter attacking play has been really good this season and it'll have to be spot on Sunday.

I've just posted in another thread that they'll continue to play the same way and they aren't as good as their league position suggests. I think we'll sneak a 2-1 win. :bluescarf:

I agree. These are not Man City but they like any team can be made to look like that if you stand off them and let them play like we did last season.

Just another point for all the doom and gloom merchants, yes last night and Coventry were very disappointing but looking at the last 5 games since Hudson took over before the games I had us losing against Burnley, Blackburn and QPR, a draw against Wigan and a win v Coventry getting a total of 4 points so more than I expected.

We totally dominated Blackburn from start to finish who currently sit joint top of the league so we should fear no one.

That's the positives we need to look at going into this game.

I understand it's hard to be positive after last night and the performances haven't been good in the last 2 games but the 3 decisions that went against us were scandalous.

The goal against Cov changes the game in my opinion, and should never have been disallowed and if it had stood i think they would've buckled.

Then last night never a pen and the red card is just taking the piss. As soon as the pen went in I expected alot worse than 3-0 against one of the best teams in the league and a man down to be honest.

Perry Ng early injury prognosis

A particularly worrying sign for Cardiff was that one of their star players, Perry Ng, was taken off at half-time after taking an injury to his leg.

The defender went down a couple of times in the first half, with one stoppage just before the break lasting about four minutes as he received treatment from the City medical team.

With Mahlon Romeo a doubt for the weekend, too, Cardiff will be sweating on the fitness of Ng, who filled in at right-back at Loftus Road.

"He gets a knock. We will have to see how that settles," Hudson said of Ng. "Sparky [Mark Harris] gets a bit of a knock. We tried to use the squad as much as we could with the subs that we made throughout the game.

"We will have to recover right and go to Sunday with full heart. Perry was a whack. He went for a challenge and got caught. I can't give any information on that now. It's so fresh so it might have swollen a bit, but we'll see what we can do going towards the game on Sunday."

Pre-match facts:

Swansea won both league meetings with rivals Cardiff last season – they have never beaten them three times in a row in the Football League.

Cardiff have lost four of their last six league visits to Swansea, winning the other two 1-0 in each of the 2010-11 and 2020-21 seasons.

Swansea have won six of their last eight league games, including each of the last three at home; the Swans could win four on the bounce at home for the first time since October 2021.

Cardiff have failed to win any of their last three Championship away games on a Sunday (D1 L2), with one of those defeats coming against Swansea last season (0-3).

Swansea’s Harry Darling has scored in each of his last two league games against Sunderland and Reading, while he’s only scored in three successive league games once before in July, netting on his debut for the Swans and in his last two league games for MK Dons the season prior.

I see nothing but defeat sadly i think its going to be another lets watch them pass it about us taking the piss. Im sick to death of watching the gutless good few derby games as they have basically been embarassing from us although I'm praying its not the same thing today but not very hopeful. Think there will be a red card to :bluescarf:

Swansea are missing two of their best players …… Joe Allen who is vital for their midfield and their top striker Joel Piroe . This should improve our chances dramatically .
