UPDATED CCFC TEAM NEWS: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

'No major injury concerns'

Are there any injury worries after Saturday?

"No. We have been through a recovery protocol yesterday. We had a day with the players to see who has got the niggles. Not too many major concerns, just what you’d expect."

Mark Hudson

Kion Etete 'not too far away'

What's the timeframe looking like with Kion Etete?

"Yeah he has missed a bit, unfortunately for him. He had quite a decent injury to the ankle. We are getting him on the grass and then he has to do something specific for him. He’ll be a good addition to the squad and he’s not too far away."

Mark Hudson

Ebou Adams latest

What about Ebou Adams' injury?

"It’s so frustrating doing that after coming into a new club. He is someone we will welcome with open arms when we can get him back. At the moment he is not there around the playing squad. He is building back up to getting on the grass. He is still a good character around the building."

Mark Hudson

Cedric Kipre latest

Is Cedric Kipre's problem a serious one?

"He got a whack in the hip and got landed on. Any time you are up against Ashley Barnes you’ll get that. He’s a bit tender but he’s a big boy, I’m sure he’ll be alright."

Mark Hudson

Kipre went off injured, Monday there will be an assessment

Rubin Colwill is fully match fit.

Isaak Davies back in training

New Striker Kion Etete should be back in action as in full training

Ebou Adams is back from injury and in full training:

Jamilu Collins out for the season

Blackburn last 3 games

Blackburn 2 Millwall 1
Luton Town 2 Blackburn 0
Blackburn 2 Watford 0

The pre-match facts

Cardiff City are winless in seven league games against Blackburn (D4 L3) since a 2-1 win over them in August 2016.

Blackburn won 1-0 at Cardiff last season and are looking for consecutive away league wins against them for the first time since a run of four between 1980 and 1985.

Cardiff have won four of their last five home league games in midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), although the only game they failed to win in that run was a 2-1 defeat to Luton this season.

Blackburn have lost three of their last four Championship away games (W1), failing to score in each of those defeats. Indeed, in 2022, only Harrogate and Rochdale (both 11) have failed to score in more Football League away games than Rovers (10).

Only against Birmingham (4) does Blackburn’s Ben Brereton have more goals against an opponent in the Football League than Cardiff (3), with the forward netting a hat-trick against the Bluebirds in September 2021.

MARK HUDSON:

Isaak Davies latest

What's the latest with Isaak Davies?

"He is now out of his brace and moving forward, he has got to go through the processes he’s got. He is a great kid. It’s a shame because I’d love to have him on the grass. I don’t want to put any pressure on him. That’s where he is at the moment."

Blackburn Rovers have no fresh injury concerns for their trip to Cardiff City but boss Jon Dahl Tomasson has hinted that he could rotate his squad with three games in a week.

Seriously I can not see us containing their lively players if we replicate the pedestrian pace of Saturday.

If ralls plays you can write us off. Just not with it for a team looking to play a bit needs too many touches and doesn’t play on the half turn enough.

I think a loss on a dismal evening at the CCS and food for thought for the powers that be.

I'm away at the moment but able to watch via the Firestick

The crowd looks rather sparse there but it is a school night...

City look to have changed their format from Saturday and are pushing forward and are winning a few free kicks. Robinson looking lively down the middle and Blackburn clearly looking to couter attack whrn they can

We should have scored.

Great pressuring released Robinson who worked his way into the area only to have his shot blocked.
