Middlesbrough are worse than Hull

……followed by Huddersfield who are possibly the weakest team .

12 game is now Wigan on 08/10 ….. and they are relatively poor .

On paper we have every reason to expect to pull up the table ……

however we all know the game is played on grass not paper .

It will be a serious worry if we do not pick at least 6 points in the next four games .

On Morison’s selection v Boro . I am hoping that he will start with Robinson and not pick Ralls in MF . While I like Sawyers ….. I think this game is more suited for Colwill.

I expect the Boro team to be :

GK : Roberts. Defense : McNair , Fry and Clarke . MF : Crooks , Hawson and Mowatt. Attack : Muniz - supported by McGree.

Oops the two really important wingbacks . They will be Jones and Giles.

This will be their team ! ….. the only possible changes could be in the central defense or in the striker …….but I believe not . There will be no other changes !

A steady team indeed .

What is the latest team news?

For Boro, Darragh Lenihan will miss the next two games before the international break, but Paddy McNair has trained and is in contention to play against Cardiff tomorrow.

Chuba Akpom is also out, while goalkeeper Zack Steffen is rated as touch and go.

For the Bluebirds, boss Steve Morison has confirmed Callum O'Dowda and Rubin Colwill are available for selection on Teesside.

Ebou Adams is back training but Morison revealed he is still "miles away" from a playing return. Isaak Davies and Kion Etete are both still out.

Match facts:

Middlesbrough have won their last two league games against Cardiff, last winning three in a row in January 2015.

Cardiff City have won four of their last 18 league visits to Middlesbrough, last winning there in July 2020 under Neil Harris.
After losing three consecutive home games in April, Middlesbrough have since gone unbeaten in their last six at the Riverside in league competition (W4 D2).

Cardiff are winless in four away league games (D1 L3), failing to score in the last three. The Bluebirds haven’t gone four consecutive games on the road without a goal since November 2015.

Since the start of last season, Matt Crooks has scored 10 goals at the Riverside Stadium in the Championship – at least twice as many as any other Middlesbrough player (5, Paddy McNair).

What a save.

Ball is floated towards the far post by Simpson from the left and Harris forces a superb saver from Roberts, whose legs do just about enough to keep it out.

Wintle has a crack from distance as Cardiff try to keep it alive, but Boro survive.
