Morrison said in his press conference after the Millwall game :

“ This team needs to learn to fight and get rid of their soft underbelly” !!!!!

Oh yeah ? These are your fxxking players …..

100% your call and responsibility .

But …… as usual it is never your fault !!

You sometimes tend to pick on the very young players ….. a typical bully attitude in my view .

If this team is a soft touch and not fearsome on attacking or defending set pieces …… then only look at your ‘bloody’ self .

“Start actually taking some of the blame instead of continually blaming others, perhaps you would earn more respect.”

They may be his players and in time if it doesn't change he will 100% have to take full responsibility. But with so many new faces you're never going to get a full solid unit over night. It takes time some people are really really finding it hard to understand it takes time. It all part of building the squad we're going to have blocks of losses and blocks of wins. The important part is learning from it and moulding the squad from it.

There needs to be a leader on the pitch.

Plus Morison has had the majority of his squad for well over two months, he himself said they jelled, we’re all well up for it, wanted to come to the club and play for him, it’s been 5 friendlies and 9 compatible games for the majority of players.
I will judge after 12 games that’s quarter of the season gone.

In this topic I am saying he’s always blaming everyone else but himself .

A leader on the pitch is missing though.

Morison will have been the manager for a year this October and been at the club over 2 years, he’s virtually got rid of all our younger players from the starting line ups.

I thought we were really aggressive and at it against Norwich and in general at the CCS.

Away, we seem to be trying to do the old rope a dope sit back and counter and we are simply not equipped with the required raw pace of mind or body

I love WIntle and he really is the only DCM we have but he sets the pace, and away we are half a yard slower in everything.

SM needs to adapt quickly or he'll find he'll be gone. I believe Mick lasted 14 games, Trollope less (i think)

That's a decent squad we have no L1 players like last season.......It's a results based industry. If SM had a "body of work" to judge him on I'd say he needs the season, but we are clueless whether he or his coaching staff are anywhere near championship level

I think he will adapt though.

I agree sice all the older heads are gone Morison is like an old fashioned head Master and dare anyone question him.

Always blaming others.

I really wonder how popular he is with his arrogant attitude with the players he thinks he's another Brian Clough far far from it in the skill side of it.

He will do things his way takes no notice of his assistants he knows better. On the playing side of things how many more chances is Harris going to be given.?

That name is not a name that has been a success for us. NEIL. KADEEM. MARK. All we need is to score first then see how the team react something to give them confidence. Given time this team will click but Morison has to change his attitude towards his players. Maybe playing for Millwall for so long has made him as hard as the clubs reputation.

Another bad day against Hull on Saturday and the fans will start to turn against him. It's his team no more excuses get the tactics right we have time but not that much to allow this to go on.

A dozen league games will tell us if we have adapted home and away.

There does seem to becoming a pattern, each manager of ours takes over and improves and then suddenly the second half of his management at our club we go back down the table and go in struggling positions.

Four more games for me, we decide if Morison can take us forward.

Hull home should be a comfortable win.

Mike,

I was told last season he had continual face offs with the old heads, never felt he was totally in charge, so he brought in players that he could totally control, so he should not blame them if their is NO real fight in them.

We can beat Hull, it’s past that I want to see how we do.

Steve Morison looked absolutely rattled by the Millwall/London press yesterday. They pressed him more than he gets at Cardiff, asking him direct questions, pushing back on his aggy tone. Goes to show how controlling Mark Denham is. If only we had a few more hard nosed journos.

They dont travel well and have lost their lost 3 on the road and drawn one away.
They are good at home.
They have actually had some hammerings away from home.
They’ve even conceded 5 goals away in one match.

They hate travelling down South.
Won’t have more than 350 fans

Re: Morrison said in his press conference after the Millwall

Olli worried me Trollop worried me Harris and McCarthy besides Warnock who I knew besides losing to the jacks and Bristol kept us mid table and now with Morrison i am worried. Wintle should be captain he looks like a leader far more than Ralls we play well at home and are unlucky so when Morrisons speaks about being unlucky at home I can see his view.

Our away form is shocking we have deserved to lose every game that worries me

As I said yesterday I am worried about Colwill too should in the team, he is by far one of our best players, if he has a good world cup and we will lose him that will be dreadful management by Morrison

I can’t take to Morison I can’t he’s so arrogant he never takes the blame when we lose

Re: Morrison said in his press conference after the Millwall

Just literally bumped into him coming out of the swanky Londoner hotel in Leicester Square. I brought up the Milwall game with him and asked when are we going to start to see goals or at least an improvement and disappointingly his response was just to shrug his shoulders and say “we’ll have to see what happens”. That’s not the attitude I would expect from him given the position we’re in.

Re: Morrison said in his press conference after the Millwall

Sun Sep 04, 2022 11:37 am

Well at least some of us are starting to show our true colours. On this board Morison was and is only 2 defeats away from a shoeing. Only my opinion of course but he'll never get enough time with some as a five minute fix seems to be the only answer.
I find the most toxic thing surrounding this club at the moment is the blame culture that surrounds it. Finger pointing United they should call us.I'll get my hard hat out.

We've stopped the high pressing game we used against Norwich, yet our opponents continue to high press and force us into errors. Fair play to Millwall yesterday, how many times did their forwards almost catch out Allsop trying to play out from the back. Let's get back to the high press fellas and force the opposition back.

You get what you pay for as they say its what i expected with the current squad and manager so far really. Expecting a dog fight this season before a ball was kicked and nothing has changed my mind yet so anything else is a bonus for me. :bluescarf:

Bullshit? Are you serious? I’m sat outside All Bar One in Leicester Square. Why would it be bullshit?

Yep. 2 posts and he just happened to 'bump' into SM and asks him when are we going to see goals. Yeah right.

Re: Morrison said in his press conference after the Millwall

These are his players whose personalities he would have known about before he recruited them.
For all his good points, SM always hangs the players out to dry when things go wrong (Isaac Davies last season for example).
Share the responsibility SM and then you may get more support from the fans.

We are just the same as most over clubs that are going through the same thing.

When we are doing well we are the same as any other club doing well.

Not sure what you’re issue/problem is. Very sad that you think I’d take the time out of my life to write the post initially. Believe what you want. Being I am a partner of the club I’d have no reason to make it up. Ask the man himself when you see him next where he stayed if it benefits you. I enjoy this forum, but very seldom write any posts/replies due to the lack of intelligence from some of its members.

I don't have an 'issue/problem' with genuine posters and sorry you seldom write any 'posts/replies' due to lack of intelligence. If I bump into Steve I'll be sure to ask him if he remembers some bloke whose a 'partner' of the club asking him performance questions on Leicester Square. Never follow a comma with 'but', learn the correct use of the '/' and it's 'your', not 'you're'. Basic things like that always indicate a lack of intelligence.

Were you born a narrow minded idiot? Yes I am a partner. Next time you’re at the ground and see one of the many screens/TV’s boards around the pitch, ask yourself which business I own. What a very sad life you must lead.

Well that wouldn't make you a partner, just a supplier. Go on then, what's the name of your business that supplies 'screens/TV's boards'(sic)? You can look up the use of 'sic' and while your at it, you've missed an 'L' out of your username, so you might want to correct that while your googling who supplies media screens to the club.

'til
Until, till, and 'til are all used in modern English to denote when something will happen. Until and till are both standard, but what might be surprising is that till is the older word. 'Til, with one L, is an informal and poetic shortening of until. The form 'till, with an additional L, is rarely if ever used today.
