Well done Vincent Tan

the wage bill with the number of players we have must be vast.
We don’t get the crowds to cover, yet we have a squad of around 30..
Vincent deserves credit.

Wage bill will be drastically lower than last seasons….

And that’s certainly a good thing.

I’ll give them credit for allowing SM to get Robinson in. No matter what people think of CR, SM was backed for a position we desperately needed :ayatollah:

lets see if you all are going to say the same thing if we are in a relegation fight.

I expected to be in one tbh before a ball was kicked with the freebies and others that come in but money does not get results sometimes although its nice. Even though I still say anything above the bottom three will do me in truth anything else is a bonus this season in my opinion with what's gone on within the club with massive changes and so on :bluescarf:

What baffles me is we are told we have little money to spend yet people expect the playoffs when there's probably no chance we will be there come the end of the season. We go with what we got but some expect miracles.

Full credit to them. Overall they do a stand up job. Best owners we had so far by a long shot. In my opinion.

I would say well done but would add it his his club he is the owner and he either releases money or puts in a wage cap this time its releasi g the purse strings but in perspective we payed nearly 6 million for gary madine and 1.5 million for our latest acquisition.

Agree ,he put his money where his mouth is and never took a penny out of the club unlike other owners in the past .

When he leaves do you think he's going to leave it all behind for free wez? He's not doing this for nothing surely. All owners will want something back surely :ayatollah:

What you mean is his poor management lost our club £200mill and costly court cases after court cases, not even mentioning what he cost our club with the despicable rebrand. :bluescarf:

 his 200 million he put in got us to a carling cup final and two promotions to the Premier league ,most successful owner ever ,will probably get 80 million back so is down 120 million of his own cash, the fact is he's backed us big time .

Plus he kept us afloat during the pandemic, he could have easily pulled away and focused more on his original foundations

What the very little few ‘on here’ seem to forget is, we are still trading as Cardiff City FC and VT has and is bankrolling us, FACT. I was livid when he rebranded us and despised everything red but come on nobody can argue that he’s been our best owner, rebrand aside.
It’s boring the same old few that pipe up about VT not spending and then the same few harp on about the debt  you can’t make it up. :ayatollah:

Bank rolling us because of his mistakes. The money he’s “bankrolled” us is still owed to him by the way, plus interest. And don’t get me started on this 3m a month bullshit. Nowhere near that amount, it’s been inflated to think of Tan as a hero. He ruined the club with the rebrand and one I’ll never forgive him for. But I will give him credit for this years transfer window. Bringing in 17 players or whatever it was couldn’t have been cheap even if they were mainly free agents.

Correct bankrolling his own mistakes and bad management for years.

Plus money now owed to others at high interest.

Well, one thing you can never accuse Tan of, is being intransigent, as he has repaired much of the (supposed to some) damage he caused...

Can't say the same for some supporters, who have continued to live in a (negative) past refusing to acknowledge anything Tan does rooted in their own intransigenic ways...

He shouldn’t have changed our colours in the first place let’s be honest. Complete lack of respect for us the supporters and our club. But like you say, he changed his mind, he didn’t have to. So we could have had a worse owner who could have been stubborn and refused to revert back to blue. But, from a personal point of view I’d like a new owner, the damage has been done for me. I completely fell out of love with Cardiff city through that period and that was all down to Tan.

We got promoted to the Premier League in Red for the first time in over 60 years and if we hadn’t been relegated we would still be in Red and apart from the diehards no one would care! Leeds changed their colours from Blue to All white to be like Real Madrid and became the most successful side in the League for 10 years and are still way ahead of us! Many clubs regularly change their colours and no one cares as long as they are winning! Tan’s money has certainly given us our most successful period since the 1920’s when we won the FA Cup and were runners up in the top division. His main mistake has been not appointing a Top Director of Football and so wasting millions on poor Managers and journeymen players. Swansea now have three ex Managers in the Premier League whereas apart from Malky whose with the mighty Ross County they’re all unemployed!

I cared. That wasn’t the team I grew up supporting that made the premier league. It was a fake franchise that was all about marketing to people half way around the world. If people were happy in red then good on them, even though I can’t understand it myself but that’s my opinion and that’s theirs. We will never agree on this topic but I do agree with you on getting a football man in to run the club on a day to day basis.
