Dickford for you.

Re: 20mph really

Typical move of the one and a half party stage we have in wales. Labour and plaid do what they want. I’ve no issue with it on housing estates etc but as someone living in north Cardiff the
Blanket application is a pain and unnecessary

Had already heard, and it was also confirmed yesterday, that the assembly commissioned a survey to ascertain its popularity.

It was widely voted against by the public.... so they brought it in anyway.

This is standard practice now WG have consultation with public and when say no he says yes smacking was same ... they are now bringing
in permanent working from home at sennedd so that they can look after kids Joe bloggs no such luxury! 20mph is just start from 70mph to 50mph on highways are being extended A40 A48 inline for 50mph in future.....we are slowly turning into a dictatorship

It gets better by the minute as today the Senedd muppets are voting on allowing members to continue working from home. Anyone fancy a job where you don't have to turn up but still pull your £70k salary and set up an office employing family members with a salary of up to £35k, making the Senedd a game ALL the family can play.

But then again they have to do this because last week they agreed to increase the number of members from 60 to 92 at a minimum cost to the taxpayer of £6m BUT this evenings vote is essential because there isn't enough room to fit the extra feckers in.

The Senedd has fast become the biggest money pit in Wales thanks to 20 years of lunatic left Welsh Labour Government.

Expansion is 12m minimum as that includes ancillary staff but doesnt include
expenses as that depends on how many live outside 40miles Cardiff so entitling them to accommodation costs and all the costs that go with extra staff....... drakeford and his cronies believe they are untouchable now they are prostituting themselves with plaid and have majority in sennedd.

Who the hell are the people who keep voting for this left wing labour drakeford and his loonies?
He just Wants to dictate the way we live, I totally agree with 20mph during school time and in housing estates etc.etc but let the local council sort where and when, up here there is a 20mph limit only during school drop off which is sensible but 20mph traveling at 3am in the morning!!
Obviously the bone idle vote for this idiot because if you want to get on in life and work hard he doesn’t like it and you certainly wouldn’t vote for him . Looking at rebranding council tax next, so for everyone who worked hard and saved to buy a nice house watch your council tax rise in a few years.

All house prices have risen so unless they manipulate the figures there will be far more increase in council tax for people than staying same... but sure they'll manage to say people have had reduction in tax?
They are also planning to add more bands plus making you pay more if put extension on your home Something that's happening a lot here...

On the face of it the 20mph limit does have merit as you say outside schools, hospitals or housing estates until you realise local councils have spent £100m's in Wales putting traffic calming measure like speed bumps in place. I live in Caerphilly on on the estate where I live there are 12 speed bumps ( 7 are in need of repair) are Drakeford and his lunatic cronies saying these haven't worked? If that's the case how much will it cost to remove them?

I was driving through Llanishen today which has the 20mph limit in place but outside the school there are 4 speed bumps and traffic is already slowing because of the speed bumps BUT NOW new road signs and painted marks on the road Of the 4 speed bumps 3 are damaged and needing repair.

Local speed limits have always been a matter for local councils but when you have control freaks like Drakeford and lunatics like Adam Price they want ALL power in their hands.

Just the latest example of how big a disaster devolution in the UK has been.

I'm expecting a band for properties which will be exempt from Council Tax to cover Drakefords holiday chalet. ;)

If someone has a main property in one town and then as a property that is a fixed building (not a caravan) in another town and is used for holidays what do you call it? Retirement home? :laughing5:

This muppett belongs in an asylum. He's bringing these speed limits in to encourage more people to walk or cycle or use public joke transport. During the height of the pandemic, this idiot allowed supermarkets to sell alcohol and fags, but you couldn't but a warm winter coat or shoes for your kids. This is the man who was actually going to fine people for going to work last winter instead of working from home. The problem is that while people in the valleys still think Thatcher is PM, we'll have Labour in power for ever, and they'll have 36 more AM's to make sure of it soon. Time to check out the house prices over the border. :banghead:

So true, I’m from a S Wales council estate where my father worked for the NCB. I hated Thatcher/tories and what she did to the jobs in the collieries, I worked hard and moved around to get better paid jobs and make something of my life but this drakeford doesn’t like people like me. I haven’t had any help with anything he has implemented, council tax rebate wrong band for me, cost of living, nope, beer tax up, yes, now wants to raise council tax
Guy is a tw*t and can’t believe welsh people vote him in, he hasn’t done nothing for Wales, everything he touches he fucks up, welsh NHS, Cardiff airport, M4 relief road

Blinkered voters are the issue .

Drakeford and Labour know they can do whatever they like ..

Get ready for lockdown this winter Vaughan Gethin is already issued NHS warnings with thousand beds taken up by Covid ..

Sadly no one ares to.asks why we had so few beds in the beginning??

Perhaps the 20mph will save hospital entry levels ..

Apparently it will save 58m over 30yrs in related healthcare costs? So very good value for money.. :laughing6: whilst WG argue that going slower reduces injuries and deaths what they dont say is because drivers are restricted to 20mph already in areas what's happening is drivers are going faster once get out of speed zone to make up for delays do causing more accidents...

At end of the day they got no policies to help nhs or housing amongst other things... all they do is bring out stuff that appeals to minority factions like banning cars stopping essential rd building in return for cycle paths that no one uses with any frequency..... taxes on homes that does fck all to solve the housing crisis only gives local councils more money to waste like our new transport hub in haverfordwest to cater for 12 busses a day? sheer stupidity and wast of money
