We should get 31,009-32,000.

I think it will be about 28,000 max

with segregation and sales we should get roughly 29500-30000 crowd.
not bad at all but should be sold out

The reduced away allocation (2000 I believe instead of the usual ~3000) and segregation means 32k won’t be possible. From a rough check at the seat map I think a sellout crowd is 30k for this game.

gutted, i had 1 work holiday day left, figured it would be moved to a sunday, and my birthday is the follow week, so booked my birthday off. and they decided to keep the game on a saturday 3pm kick off.

i don't care about the performance, just bring back 3 points and the bragging rights please

Hope people have patience because we wont have much possession if todays game at Swans is anything to go by? 70% to 30% possession but brum same amount of stats in corners attempts ect as swans begs question where are they playing the ball??

Hear what your saying Al but we struggle in the possession stays in most games so we’ll be fine.

Yes as long as we score from the chances we make....according to ssn commentator brum should be winning and match stats show it.... but swans tend to breakout and score late on ... still fancy our chances though

I’m watching their game on a stream and ssn are right. Brum seriously could be 3-4 up. Jacks are awful. If they play anything like this against us we’ll beat them with quite a bit to spare.

Saw last 3 mins and they were booed off pitch! today as been a typical of their season to much possession with very little end product got away with it a fair bit this season but sure they'll be up for it against us as its their biggest game of season.. :laughing6:

All I know the crowd will be huge in comparison to crowds in Swansea even when they were in the premier League.

Re: ‘ Swansea City Home ‘

My son did some stewarding earlier in the season and ended up stewarding the Jacks v Forest.

While none of the fans directed any racial abuse towards him personally, he did say they were ripping into their own players and abusing their own players very aggressively, having lost significantly to forest.

As a city fan he said he did struggle to contain his delight at their loss.

I don't care what people say, the Jacks will always be our biggest rivals.

I think it could be around 28/29k - which considering the season we have had and our position, will be remarkable.

Shows what a difference Morison has made.

For me, they are not on historic grounds; but that's not to say a result against them isn't insignificant in our season, even if a positive one just keeps their fake 'only sing when they're winning' oddballs off this Forum post-game (something we don't overly do to them)

Great to hear your boy was not abused (why would he be?) doing his job and can I please ask if 'racist' comments were aimed at the Swansea players?

You mention the 'r' word but don't confirm if any actually occurred?

It's something I exceptionally rarely, if ever, hear at the CCS nowadays and long may that last

My son said there were a few racist comments directed at some of the the black Swansea players by one or two Swansea fans near him, "you useless black XXXX" etc.. Which is still ridiculous in any day and age. He did say some fans looked at him a bit embarrassed at the behaviour of some of the others.

But he never experienced it at CCFC from even a single fan at CCS or Ninian.

Wow!

Thanks for that, as it wasn't clear. Any racist shouts (borne out of frustration, lack of education and/or pure ignorance) are abhorrent and in this day and age should simply not occur; and at their own players too...!

We know there is a backward mentality in that part of the world and whilst it's good to hear some 'looked embarrassed' but they should have said something or reported it

Also good to hear that your son has not had to endure that behaviour at the CCS, where our supporters are pretty inclusive due to us being one of the more cosmopolitan cities in the UK

Had that in several games same resulting shot wise... natives haven't been happy for awhile.. but funny thing is when he does change tactics it tends to work so begs question why not play to their strengths if got any...

Looks like another ~1000 tickets have been put on sale in the last couple days. 2 blocks in the middle Ninian and 1 in the upper. The club must be anticipating a sell out for the lower bowl :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The scarf sellers would do well to invest in producing some Bluebird hats in the style of the Rugby leeks/sheep.

Have a horrible feeling in my stomach that the stadium will be half filled by the same day trippers who’ve now seen Wales at 2 major tournaments out for the latest Welsh football ‘event’.

I can’t see it being like that fortunately. The difference is over the past 10 years we’ve consistently gotten 20k-25k+ crowds for bigger games. Even our average attendance this season is around 18k.

The national team has never had a dedicated support like that. At least not as far back as the 80’s. Before 2015 most Wales games had crowds of 10k and then within 3 or 4 games we were selling out 33k every time.

Exactly. And people think because we average around 18k that we have 18k real fans the rest are tag alongs but that's not true.

It's always a bit difficult to tell from the ticket map whether we've actually sold out areas or whether they just haven't put them on sale. However, there do seem to be a lot of blocks with nothing or just single tix left which is encouraging.

I must admit I'm pleasantly surprised at the apparent sales. We haven't had over 20k for a while now so to get 27k+ would be really encouraging.

I believe that if we do get that sort of crowd and a full on performance from Drameh, Doyle, Hugill, etc., then it could be one of the best derbies we've had for a while. Let's be fair, even the ones we've won have been pretty poor quality recently.

It will be nice for our players to play in a bigger atmosphere especially the loanies
because for most of the season its been half empty and i think morrison will be the first manager for years to have the players up for this derby .

I agree Monty. The loanees in particular have been showing real fight in the games they’ve played in so I’m sure they will be well up for it.
