How is squad looking?

All good!

Alfie came back into training this week, so that’s good.

We lost Max Watters in training yesterday, which was frustrating. So we will see how he is today.

He rolled his ankle and left on crutches and in a boot, hopefully that’s precautionary.

Rubin is back in the squad :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Annoyingly, Max Watters left training in a precautionary boot and on crutches yesterday and is out this weekend

Pre-match facts

Cardiff City have won four of their last five league matches against Blackpool (L1), including a 2-0 away win earlier this season.

Blackpool haven’t visited Cardiff for a league match since April 2015, losing 3-2 under Lee Clark.

Cardiff have won four of their last five league games (L1), more than they had in their previous 20 combined (W3 D3 L14).

Blackpool are winless in their last six away Championship matches (D3 L3) since winning back-to-back away games against Reading and Sheffield United in October.

Cardiff have scored more headed goals than any other side in the Championship this season (19), with exactly 50% of their 38 league goals coming via headers this term.

Alfie better than expected?

Yeah, you put the parameters in place and try to hit the earliest timeframe you can.

He settled down quite quickly. He is young so that helps.

He is out on the grass so that helps.

You have these injuries and it looks OK, then you go to strike a ball and he can’t strike a ball.

He can run and all that but couldn’t kick a ball, but he trained yesterday so that’s a plus point.

Watters not kicking off?

No, he went for a header with Oli Denham and Oli fell on his ankle.

It’s just life.

MONTY

Have you heard of the phrase 'do your research' before engaging others?

This is where the cofusion may lay...

"Covid passes no longer need to be used in Wales from Friday, February 18.

From midnight the legal requirement to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to visit indoor or outdoor events and venues, including nightclubs, cinemas, theatres and concert halls will have ended, but events and venues will be able to continue to use it if they choose to.

MONTY,

You didn't 'know' then? ;)

Then you had a 'pop' at blemmy for putting it out there, as if he'd got it wrong...

The 'hint' was in the 'email from the club' bit ;)

No Monty -didn't miss out the word "not".

Actual wording in email from Club was:

"Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

Covid passes will be required to enter Cardiff City Stadium for this Saturday's fixture against Blackpool.

Please find attached Covid Pass FAQs for more information.

Kind regards,

Ben

Annis - your statement appears to be a contradiction of the email I received from the Club YESTERDAY in direct answer to my question whether covid passes would be required for the Blackpool game - all a bit confusing to be honest??

Thank you, Paul

It all changed yesterday, so I can see where the confusion came from, e.g. blemmy being told otherwise via club email :thumbright:
