Apparently both loan deals are done, just doing final paper work on how much Cardiff contributing towards their wages.





Cardiff City are set to complete the loan signings of Stole City’s Alfie Doughty and Norwich City Jordon Hugill.

Bluebirds boss Steve Morison was adamant that he would not be waiting around until Monday's deadline to get his final two targets over the line.






The Stoke City man has operated at left-back and on the left wing for the Potters this term, making him the ideal candidate to provide competition for that left-back spot.

The 22-year-old has been limited to 11 substitute appearances in the Championship this term, so the move to Cardiff represents an opportunity for him to get more regular game-time under his belt.

Doughty was originally with Charlton who he then went to Kingstonian and then Bromley, Stoke signed him a year ago but he has failed to start for them.





Norwich City Jordon Hugill made 31 appearances for Norwich the season before last and was on loan to WBA this season making 20 appearances.

If Morison thinks Hugil and Doughty are going to improve things he can’t think much of the current squad or the youngsters coming through.

If these come off then this window hasn't been as bad as we thought.

They are top 6 and have been all season and they have a lot of firepower up front.

Our youngsters are getting slated that they arnt good enough. This gives Morison more options, cover and allows him to rotate the squad. Which can only be a good thing in the short and long term.

The club would get criticised for not signing anyone and then get criticised for signing players. The only players that get sold/loaned out in january are players not playing/wanted by their current clubs, or players that go for inflated transfer fees. Unfortunately we are shopping in the former.

We need experience and I believe Norwich City Jordon Hugill might be what we need .

We need a winger now giles is "Not" coming back.

Doughty deal has been confirmed by the club

Wintle and Watters return from loans. Doyle , Doughty and Hugill signed on loan. At least it refreshes the squad and gives us new options. Who knows, it might even improve us.

Great signings so...
Now we have enough quality players available. Lets see what Morison can do with them, hopefully it works and we can put a string of results together to get us away from the bottom 5 or 6. Going to be an interesting few months.
