STEVE MORISON APPOINTED CARDIFF CITY MANAGER UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON

TOM RAMASUT IS ASSISTANT MANAGER

MARK HUDSON IS FIRST TEAM COACH

Cardiff City Football Club is pleased to confirm that Steve Morison has been appointed as First Team Manager for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Steve will be assisted by Tom Ramasut and brings on board former Bluebirds captain, Mark Hudson, who makes a welcome return to the Welsh Capital as First Team Coach.



The Club would like to take this opportunity of thanking all candidates who have shown interest in the manager’s position.

Finally we'll done the club appointing the right man for the job at this time. A chance for morison now to show what we all hope he is capable on. He will make mistakes in selections and tactics but let's get behind him and our young team. Mark Hudson is a huge bonus too

Morison is manager/ first team couch as they like to call the gaffer nowadays, and Hudson is first team coach ????

First bit of sense coming out of club for a long time

Mark Hudson will always be remembered for "that Goal". I often tell a story about that, at the time i was in Cuba for my Daughter's wedding and the online internet connection was on dial up. So the story goes I watched Huds hit the ball and it took so long to get into the net, i went to the bar for a pint whilst the ball was in the air and still got back to see it hit the net

Excellent appointments are Morison and Hudson.

Hopefully we will pull away from the relegation fight and when we go to Derby for the end of season party, hopefully Derby will be relegated, we should put Hudson on the bench. We can then bring him on for the last 10 minutes and get him to try and do it again. Now that will make up for Snowgate.

Excellent, now let's see some football for a change.

Excellent news, about time the club had some sense

I think Morrison deserves his chance to the end of the season. Hopefully we start climbing the league table away from the relegation zone.

I havent kept up with Hudson's career as a coach, anyone know where he has been coaching before coming to us ?

There hasnt been a lot of positivity coming out of the club recently. But can't help feel positive about this. Great to see Hudson back at the club as well!

Huddersfield when they were in the Prem and caretaker manager when they sacked their manager in the Championship.

I've been out most of the afternoon, so that's the first I've heard and what a pleasant surprise on all fronts!

Steve Morison deserves the gig and the fan base (save a few of the usual suspects) should be very very happy right now!

Loved Huds as a player and he speaks well, so I can only see us moving forward from this point on...!

Well done, Cardiff City FC (nee Vincent Tan) for taking a decision that has both please and caught us out at the same time!

Good to see a sensible decision being made for a change. It was the only option in our current state, and we could have ended up with a lot worse.

Made sence to most people tbh so the right choice now with what's going on at the club with cost cutting galore plus hudson back on board but give it 10 games and if we have not won most of them the morison out bridge who want him manager will be calling for his head or slating him. Thats the mentality of most of today's unrealistic footballs fan. You can't polish a turd as they say and with this squad we got to we be lucky to stay up in my opinion but that's the aim hopefully so let's get behind them all

Done all his licenses including pro with the FAW over the last couple of years. Was on the same course as Earnie. Since leaving Hudds has very much kept himself busy studying football in general. Great appointment in my opinion.

I'm so pleased with these appointments.

We will know by Christmas if it’s working after another 10 games, let’s hope this is the start of something special. Surprised that Harris wasn’t brought back as DOF as he brought in Morison, Tan loved him and he made some good signings in Moore,Wilson,Ng and even got Tomlin motivated! Cameron Toshack would be a good choice as under 23 Manager?

Finally some good news!

And to bring a modern day legend back in Hudson, who is a great leader and loved at Cardiff was a solid move.

Sorry but I just cant understand the enthusiasm for Morison on here. He has achieved nothing apart from one last gasp victory. If he manages to.keep us up with such a shower of players I'll hold my hands up.
