I hope the tide was turned on Saturday and each game will see the team more used to the new 'system'

Confidence should be sky high after the second half comeback and if we can cut out the daft defensive errors, we will be fine

Going to be an interesting game and I hope the positive crowd replace the silent one of late... :ayatollah:

This will be an interesting test for Morison against a top 10 team.

I really hope that he gets a win because that would tell us a lot about his abilities to re-organise this squad with little money to spend.

A draw away from home followed by a home win against two teams in the Top 10 would be impressive for any manager but on the back of 8 straight defeats, only a week or so in charge and a number of players out injured I'm not sure he could do much more than that.

If the rumours are true then he's not top of the list of prospective managers. But, with someone like Wilder very unlikely to be an option, a win on Wednesday and another result on Saturday and Morison won't be just knocking on the door he'll be virtually kicking it down and also carrying a lot of us fans with him.

My head says 0-1 defeat, but my heart is desperate for a 3-0 win

QPR: in-form striker Lyndon Dukes is a doubt for the clash, having injured his ankle in the dying minutes of the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Sam McCallum and Jordy de Wijs have been ruled out of the game with hamstring and calf injuries respectively

Match facts

Cardiff City have won just two of their last 12 league games against QPR (D3 L7), both home wins in 2017-18 and 2019-20.

Queens Park Rangers are looking to win consecutive away league matches against Cardiff for the first time since October 1932, having beaten them 1-0 last season.

After losing four consecutive league matches against Cardiff between 2015 and 2019, QPR manager Mark Warburton has since won each of his last three league meetings with them, winning 1-0 in this exact fixture in January earlier this year.

Cardiff came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Stoke last time out, ending a run of eight straight Championship defeats.

After a run of five consecutive wins and one draw away from home, QPR have lost each of their last four league games on the road.

Apparently a certain balance will be found - a draw :) I suppose with QPR it is possible. Isn't it?

Evans does well on the left to close down Dickie and Cardiff have a throw-in high up.

Interesting that Cardiff, from the kick-off, decided to play it on the floor rather than, like default, lump up to Kieffer. A pointed change of style.

Almost!

Wow. Amazing football. Evans releases Giles down the wing and the wing-back cuts it across goal. It misses Colwill and Ng hits it left-footed. Looks for all the world to be going in, but it just misses the far post!

Big chance, that.

Ng shoots just wide.

Brilliant build up play.

Re: MATCH THREAD:: " CARDIFF CITY v QPR " MATCH THREAD

Just settled a little after early Cardiff dominance. QPR being allowsed the ball across their back line, but Cardiff doing well to snuffle out attacks in midfield and higher up.

Re: MATCH THREAD:: " CARDIFF CITY v QPR " MATCH THREAD

Wed Nov 03, 2021 7:58 pm

QPR seeing more of the ball but, dare I say, it's so boring to watch.

Just passing it back and forth along the back line before banging a ball over the top and out of play.

Save!

Vaulks lays off Colwill, who rifles one from 25 yards. He catches it clean but Dieng holds well.

First chance of any note for QPR.

Adomah whips a cross in with his left and Andre Grey glances a header wide of the post. Nothing for Smithies to worry about, though.

More good work from City.

Ng swings a ball in to the near post but it just evades Moore's head. Just inches away, there.

Some intelligent play from the Bluebirds, who seem to be responding to their new roles/system

Shots on target and some smart passing

Re: MATCH THREAD:: " CARDIFF CITY v QPR " MATCH THREAD

Stadium is buzzing here. It's lovely to see Cardiff playing this way.

Colwill dinks one in behind for Evans but Barbet heads out. Evans takes a stinger of a corner but QPR clear.

Re: MATCH THREAD:: " CARDIFF CITY v QPR " MATCH THREAD

Wed Nov 03, 2021 8:14 pm

QPR look to break and slot a ball in behind. Nelson, who has started brilliantly, shepherds it out well.

We're looking very well organised. Do worry about QPR going forward though.

Hairy moment there. Cardiff caught out with a ball over the top and Grey is found in the box, but the attack is quelled.
