" Season Ticket cards delivery delayed "

Wed Aug 18, 2021 11:05 am

Due to an unforeseen issue within the delivery process at our club, the Season Ticket card mailout and the launch of our ‘My Bluebirds Rewards’ portal has been delayed.

Please note – supporters will not miss out on any rewards because of this postponement. Loyalty points from attending matches will be backdated upon launch of ‘My Bluebirds Rewards’ in September.

We would like to apologise for this delay and appreciate the understanding at this time.

For our upcoming home league fixtures against Millwall & Bristol City, 2021/22 Season Ticket Holders will again receive a unique link via email and SMS.

Please ensure that the information on your Bluebirds Club Account is up to date for this process to run smoothly.

Supporters without an email address or phone number on the Ticket Office system will receive a paper ticket via post, sent out on Thursday, August 19th, 2021.

Please note, fans will receive a separate unique link for both Millwall & Bristol City, and these will be sent via email & SMS on the following dates:

- Millwall: Thursday, August 19th, 2021.

- Bristol City: Thursday, August 26th, 2021.

Season Ticket Holders without smartphones can request a paper ticket to access their Season Ticket seats for these fixtures.

These will be kept for collection on the day of the game. If you wish to do so - please contact the Ticket Office on 03333 11 1920 (10am-4:30pm Monday to Friday) or via email at tickets@cardiffcityfc.co.uk.

We appreciate that some supporters may wish to maintain a social distance, and to facilitate this we will once again open Level 5 of the Ninian Stand, where social distancing will be observed.

Season Ticket Holders who wish to move into this area can do so by contacting the Ticket Office.

Email: tickets@cardiffcityfc.co.uk

I really feel sorry for the small team in the ticket office tasked to deal with this, in my opinion they have worked very hard without the support of management and will once agin be the brunt of fans anger and in some cases vile abuse, which is not acceptable or deserved and pathetic really .They are the front line whilst their masters don't have to face the fans angry that they can't get through on the phone or attend the ticket office etc,

They have been understaffed for many weeks, I can only assume its cost cutting, but false economy in my opinion, they have now sold 14000 season tickets or very close to that number in the last month, yet they have had a skeleton staff.

Pretty abysmal for a top championship club.
Not so long ago you would see our CEO helping out in the office.
Guess he’s to busy in London.

Allan, Ken gets paid to be at every home game and to be running our club full time and a very handsome wage in which we saw in the Accounts .

Can somebody please explain why the next two games can't just be uploaded on our existing season ticket cards?

I realise that the new cards have different features on them but why can't the existing cards have the games uploaded until the new ones are ready?

Best way is to screeshot the opened link and then save it on your phone. I had the same trouble trying to reload mine by the gates of the stadium.

Many years ago at Ninian Park there was a huge queue for tickets on a Monday lunchtime for a game against Shrewsbury the following weekend. Rick Wright turned up at the main gates in his jag, shouted something to us and went into the club. Soon after the queue started going down quickly. When i got to the front of the queue who should be there selling the tickets was the man himself. Sam Hamman would probably have done the same. They may have had there faults but can you imagine any of the current lot rolling up there sleeves and helping out like that?

Best way is to screenshot the opened link and then save it on your phone. I had the same trouble trying to reload mine by the gates of the stadium.

I tried that for Barnsley. I was told by the gate steward that screen shots of the digital ticket will not work, as the QR code refreshes periodically. I had to go and join the queue at the ticket office to get a paper ticket.

It’s a shambles because I pay for mine and my daughter’s season tickets had her account linked to my e mail then when wanting to link mine needed another e mail so give my mrs e mail so I get ticket sent to my phone for my daughter and my tickets sent to mrs phone it’s meant to be an enjoyable encounter watching your team not a mission just to get your tickets to go thought the cards worked fine

I did a screenshot couple of days before as I didn’t want to chance the crap internet signal at the ground and it worked fine

My mate, whose visualy impaired. We finally got his Barnsley ticket loaded on his phone. At the turnstile it worked which was a shock. He moved forward and the gate jammed.
You couldn't make it up.

I had that problem i simply screen shot them and they were both in my pictures so easy and no problem at ground ...... get impression that cant open both in one link as my other halfs is linked to my account so got tickets by txt and mail ....messy but easy to sort out.

It makes sense having an email per account really. Just set up an email address for your daughter, link to her account and log in to it on your own phone.

It all sounds very messy but in reality there are simple solutions even myself who dont use scanners or google pay ect worked out how to make it simple to use at ground...

Problems with delivery of cards to club..... but guess e tickets will be way of the future ....... and no reason why shouldn't be if can sort out the problem of multiple st holders on one account.. after all lots people use fones to buy things to enter places ect ect now so city shouldn't be any different? Also adding to problem is they are using new ticketing system and dare say company as well.

nice day out with the family... ? ticketing for our last game was shambolic and what was needed was our CEO who spends nowhere near enough time here to be problem solving...

We must be one of the worst run clubs in the world when it comes to organization.
Why don't our executives visit big clubs to see how to run a football club.
I am convinced that the poor attendance for the Barnsley game was due to the shambolic way the ticketing was carried out.
How to lose fans in one easy lesson.
Pull your fingers out Choo and Dalman or do one.

I await another delay. Pisses me off having to enter my mobile number 4 times just tp scan a poxy bar code for me and my lads tickets. Stone age stuff from the club. Why don't they just add them to previous ST card to scan at turnstiles as it's only basic bar codes

We're not perfect. But we're by far from the worst!!

Have a look at Birmingham for example. Half their stadium is shut due to steel corrosion in the stands! That could've been sorted whilst no fans were in the stadium. They didn't.

That would be something to moan about. Not the fact that we have to download a bloody barcode!!
