I am in total agreement, If not then take £10 or £20 of their Benefits Now,Why should Our Taxs pay for people to do nothing.

Totally agree.... but it's to easy for the government to work out!!

they should be doing the things that need doing i.e. filling in pot holes in the road etc make themselves usefull as there living off the taxpayers money

Yes there are a lot using the system but there are a lot of genuine ones as well. So how do you segregate to ensure the genuine ones are not penalised?

Spot on Birchblue. How fair is the system when pensioners who have put in all those years are having their allowances cut when young girls are getting pregnant and claim when they have put F All in!!!!!!!!!!

Yes but there are a Million who will never look for a job, while its not worth their while or would not any way. I have worked and Run a big Social place many yrs ago.

It f@cking stinks, I had to retire early due to ill health paid into system for over 40 years but because I also paid into a private pension I can't claim a frigging penny but all these youngsters and immigrants who have paid sod all into this country gets everything, MAKES ME F-CKING MAD

A friend of mine had an interview up here in Derby and was told he had the job. Nothing in writing though. The agent he went through told him today that the company are taking on Polish guys from their parent company.

Indeed there are guys out there looking for work. Its bad enough competing against ourselves but when we are up against foreigners then it adds to the annoyance. This does not happen in any other European country.

ive only ever been out of work for 2 weeks all my working life, and i wouldn't have the nerve to claim dole, couldn't do it sorry

You can tell they dont really want a job and are probably not evem capable of holding one down

I'm at home doing f**k all and not getting ANY benefits despite having worked for 43 years, and never claimed any benefits.I had 6 months JSA and now nothingI can't get a job so what makes you think that they can.I'd gladly work so please tell me where all these jobs are so that I can get one.

I know a family who can't be arsed to work. The father, nephew, son and sons girlfriend all claim benefits. They range from incapacity benefits to being on the dole. All 4 of them are screwing the system over. And as I said on another thread, now jobs are being cut and after 4years in uni, there's practically no chance of me getting into at least 2 of my chosen careers. So now I'm just working in retail thinking "what do I do next". Don't want to work in retail for the rest of my life but there doesn't seem alot out there.

I left school and did an apprentiship for 4 years then decided to join RAF , so I had 7 weeks on the dole waiting to join . Ever since leaving the RAF Ive always managed to find a job no problem altho nothing usually within 20 miles of home , as for benefits then I got no comment despite my opinions that too many scroungers get paid too much money coz my Mrs has worked for them for over 25 years and she's got the safest job in Britain coz it would cost them a huge 5 figure sum to make her redundant . Altho the govt are trying to reduce the welfare outgoings by cutting staff rather than cutting benefits City fan Mark Savotka who leads the PCS union will make sure that wont happen !

The only way to create jobs is to allow people to spend their own money from what they earn and not tax them too much. Sadly over the last 50 years we have had governments that dont know how to manage a country. They have taxed the average person too much and have not been productive in their management of it. The last Labour government have been the worse for this and I am dreading them getting into power again in 12 months.

Housing benefit is the worst.
Last week I had to deal with someone through work who earned £900 a month part time.
Her rent though was £1200 a month for a 1 bed in a proper central london location.
When I asked how on earth she could afford it - she said that Housing Benefit covered £750 of it.
What the f**k?
I'd love to have a flat right in the centre but I can't afford it.
Oh and she was Portugese and had lived there for 12 years.
That's £750 x12 x12.
I don't even want to add up how much that has cost the taxpayer.
She was worried that the new Housing Benefit cap would effect her - I hope it does.

I nearly agree with that Chief !! but there are genuine cases out there who from disability cannot work and i dont mean the alcoholics druggies, pretend bad backs, i have a crick in my neck, im depressed brigade who really piss me off because all they suffer from is bone idleness, or just plain fecking scroungers.

My Wife has MS and since she has been diagnosed last year hardly a day goes past when she isn't well but she still has her part time job. Its going to come to a day when she just can't do it any more, she doesn't earn much she just wants to work.


She doesn't want to lye to get benefits on her claim form, she told the truth and guess what she ain't entitled to f**k all.
If she put she was drink dependant she would be quids in and i aint kidding. Just to get her disabled badge and bus pass was hard enough. Proving she had MS wasn't enough she had to get medical opinions off her consultant physiotherapist, Doctor it was a joke.

The system is there to help those who need it but unfortunately its only now in place to help the low life scroungers and we are paying for there depressing lives. Yes it gets my back up as you can tell but i only get pissed off when someone reminds me!! Thanks Chief

nuclear i dont think anyone would begrudge your wife the right to claim or any other british person who's worked and tried thier best, but fall to illness, thats what our country should be doing, looking after our own

but as for the post above yours, and the women who gets 750 towards a house should be shot, send her home in a box, send the lot back, if i needed help the goverment etc wouldn't even give me 7.50p yet im a british person who has worked and paid tax all his life

i am claiming sickness benefit as i had a heart attack on the 13th of last month, but i am looking to start back to work within the next 2 weeks, cant do everything straight away is my job involves heavy lifting. i dont want a medal, but i do want the lazy bastards who refuse to work to be made to work, we all know who they are

It says in the Newspapers today 1.4 million people in the UK, Who are able to Work have Never had a job. Is it their Fault or the Last Govt (Labours 13 yrs) Fault ?

there are jobs out there for anyone who wants one. However, i would not expect anyone to work in Mcdonalds for Min wage. Why should people work 40 hours a week and not be able to afford a holiday, car the odd treat.

I think that if everyone who worked had access to these basic things most of us take for granted then most people would work.

There are genuine cases out there, but no way should a 19 year old kid be out of work for longer than 6 months.

I agree with the Unions, strike, why should the working class pay for the bankers that put us in this mess, they still have their million pound houses and 250,000 pound cars while the working class are expected to work harder and give up on holidays (their one treat) to cut back to pay back this country.
