" I THOUGHT IT WAS A RUBBISH GAME and OUR FANS

Sat Sep 11, 2010 7:59 pm

were like they were at a Funeral,(Why are we so quite ?).

BUT
‎"WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR WHEN UVE GOT YR 4 MAIN PLAYERS MISSING(Chopra/Bellamy/Jay Both and Drinkwater)" A 2 NIL Win against last Seasons Premiership Hull City,Just a pity they only brought 300 Supporters.
"COME ON YOU MIGHTY BLUEBIRDS
:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The result has shown me that we can be in the top 2 all season, there wont be many games when 4 of our main players are all out together.

Seemed loud in the Canton today.
Agreed though without 4 amazing players at this level recently to beat a team that has been in the PL for 2-3 years quite comfortably is brilliant. Would put a bet on an unbeaten season if this form continues and the 4 players to come back :ayatollah:

We missed Oli after he went off to, although the Destroyer did get a rare goal for us.

I think we will stay in the top 2 now and slowly start to pull away from the chasing pack.

By the way Annis you were right this morning to. ;) :ayatollah:

Im surprised you thought the game was rubbish as I quite enjoyed it.

It was quiet, I think the fact we totally dominated and always looked in control meant we didnt have many moments of "excitement" to get the fans going at times....in saying that we never used to need those moments for a sing song.

It was a bit quiet today even in the Canton to be honest.

Still can't understand the mad rush to get out at both half time and full time. The ground was half empty by the final whistle.

Is this one of the downsides of the new breed of fan who sees the game as just another form of entertainment?

Was amazed at how comfortable we were for almost the whole game when we were missing Bellers, Bothroyd and Drinkwater and then when Seyi and Koumas went off as well.

A word also in praise of the defence. No great fan of Hudson but three clean sheets in five games is pretty impressive.

Luke, perhaps I used the wrong words, quite boring then and at times dragged, but a Great win :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Now that you mention it the Ninian did seem to be a bit muted.
Maybe something to do with the letters about standing etc?

Canton was ok today, Barmy Army was probably the loudest but that faded out to, i agree the atmosphere is lacking in the stadium, we need to get behind the team for 90 mins not just now and again, it will surely spur the players on. :ayatollah:

I think it was purely the fact that we were never under pressure and they showed little/no invention in the final third. I think all fans react to situations of excitement, frustration or even desperation but at times today Hull just looked like they were going through the motions waiting on the inevitable defeat. That said 3 points in the bag so we cant complain :ayatollah:

BTW I left slightly early today.......just behind you carrying one of your daughters ;)

Lets not get carried away with this result. Yes Hull were in the premier last season but not with that sqaud were they. Yes we had 4 1st team guys out but we faced a team that has had its squad ravaged over the summer. According to a Hull fan I travelled down with they are looking at surviving in this league and that is no surprise after all the going on at that club. They are perhaps the weakest team we have played this season.

That game was a job done. Even though Hull are a fraction of what they were last season we still had ot do a job which we did. The fact we had no Jay, Bellamy, Chops or H2O meants we did a good job.

Perhaps us old fans should move with the times. The game has changed, the NEW fans are the norm. Come on guys move with the times. ;)

Today didnt have the big game atmopshere. But we wre in control. The 2nd goal killed it off. I really thought wildig made a great impact when he came on. I hope he goes out on loan to get some first team experience, cause he could be a decent player.

A very heavy dose of sarcasm on my part, but it is the way many clubs are going and if I don't ignore it I'd be climbing the walls.

In fairness to them that is there job and the club have to be seen to be doing something or will surely get into trouble?
Not everyone likes to stand, home games I prefer to sit so I chose the Ninian Stand as CCFC said if you like standing they will be less strick in the Canton stand.

I agree with some of the earlier comments it didnt get going today, not a very intense atmosphere not helped with the away fans lack of numbers . However I must say it was one of best and longest barmy armys in the Canton stand

What amazes me is how the small act of having to sit down seems to mute the vocal chords.

If the club has to make us sit due to FL rules the fine but guys let's get some seated chants going.
