Disgrace should never have played today against us I think Warnock should have left him out ..I couldn't even look at the no neck arsewipe..disgraced himself his family and cost our club at least a million..I agree with second chances but he has had three then abused them chances and personally should not have played today when the scars are still raw.

Well said, everything wrong with this situation.
Anyway glad the druggie played shit :laughing6:

Re: NML

Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:52 pm

He worked hard but ultimately did nothing today.

I've got no time for him at all, and I doubt many people connected to Cardiff City have.

But it was up to Warnock whether he played him or not, because it's his team. Maybe he thought he would be motivated enough to put in a good performance against their old team.

Watching him today, I don't think he'll ever get back to being as good a player as he was with us.

I think he'll continuously be tainted for what he did and how he threw away his second chance with us - and rightly so.

Re: NML

Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:55 pm

Totally agree should never have played,if I was a manager and a player had done it three times I would not want him in my club , don't get me wrong I like Warnock but can't understand if it's the third time why sign him ,can you trust him not to do it again?

C'mon guys.....let he who hath not sinned throw the 1st stone.....I'm throwing nothing.

He fucked up more than once and was rightly shown the door. But he still has a life to lead. He was crap today, and the cynics would say "because he did not have the drugs in him". I'll leave it there :bluebird:

Re: ' NML '

I'm all for chances and rehabilitation as well but I agree there has been a bit of disrespect today.

I think someone said the other day he hasn't even apologised.

I'm not surprised though, Football in general has very little in way of a moral compass.

I think it's the lack of accountability or any kind of appology that has got people's backs up to be fair mate and I can understand that.

Ultimately, the money the Club have lost on NML has been part funded out of the pockets of the fans. Then in the week they have to here things like NML was busting a gut to be playing against us.

As someone who has fucked up many times I'm all for chances, but those chances should come with acceptance and apologies to those affected and we haven't here anything from NML on that score (to mu knowledge), I might be wrong

You have nailed it right there, and I applaud your honesty. The simmering under belly, which will not sit well, is his lack of accountability.

Equal to that, and maybe more so, is his lack of humility towards us mere fans, who used to pay his inflated wages. I don't know whether NML would lower himself to read a forum, but if he does here is a suggestion.

Just be honest and apologise to the fans that sang your name.........simples. :bluebird:

Crickey we have all sinned and done things that we may be ashamed of but we are not pro footballers and he had a responsibility to himself his family and 1000s of fans...not even an apology...I was dreading that he would have scored today..he probably would have stuck his 2 fingers up lol.i just felt Warnock could have left him out against us this season at least.

Re: ' NML '

I’ll probably get slaughtered for saying this, but Robin Friday was also into his recreational drugs, alcohol and really showed no respect towards Cardiff City at all, but is lauded by a large portion of our fanbase. I can never get my head around that. For me, he is more of a scumbag than NML. At least NML did the business for us on the pitch, Fridays biggest contribution was scoring a couple v Luton and giving Aleksic the two fingers.

the lack of apology is terrible...
but if the boot was on the other foot id expect our manager to pick the player.

indeed and you could make a list of platers who not only have left us down but left their previous managers / clubs down equally... normally fans favourites :?

Pipe down. He’s been dealt with. He was a free agent. Boro signed him. Why shouldn’t he have played?

Perhaps you should change your name to 'Simon Says' and everyone would have to think whatever you tell them... ;)

For the record, your sentiment is correct (that there was no real reason he should not have played) but the lack of respect and/or an apology to the Bluebirds wreaks of pomposity and lack of moral courage

Thankfully, the guy is no longer with the Bluebirds and both Neil Warnock and Middlesbrough are welcome to him; he is not and was not the 'key' player some now appear to have elevated him to... :(

rightfully sacked, but that doesnt mean people are not frustrated by the situation....
i agree that they had every right to play him and under similar circumstances the other way around i think most would be wanting a Cardiff manager to play him .... the dealt with bit though...? not sure whats happened was any sort of justice , a 3 month ban for a 2nd offence in a very short space of time is not enough.. we seemed to have been punished as much as he was..

I'd honestly be hoping our manager would have some morals, and with that kind of ban/s behind him, not sign him at all ;)
Liked him as a player, but his lack of respect towards his employers , and for me wipers still the fans,is not forgivable. :old: :bluebird:

NML will never recover to what he was when he first joined us.

It explains his drop in form after his so called "absence" were we were told it was to do with some form of diabetic if I remember right. When he recovered from that he did not do much or showed any real quality. I believe one of the reasons we got rid of him was because he became nothing special. The second ban was our chance of getting rid of him. If he was special then we would have most likely rode the storm and prepared to have him back.

Soon he will be none league standard because that is what drugs do to you. Yes he might recover from his addiction but e will never be the same player.

Re: ' NML '

Sun Feb 28, 2021 12:03 pm

I think the club did the right thing to sack him especially when it was the 2nd time he had failed a drug test. As for him signing for another club he is entitled to do that and as far as I'm concerned Boro can now pick up the baggage that comes along with NML.

Yesterday I thought Bennett had him in his back pocket and by the hour mark he was blowing out of his backside and clearly looked like a player who had been out for months and in desperate need of a full pre season.

NW has said he wants to show him the right path and that he has been in the wrong company well good luck Neil you cannot be with him 24 x 7. For me it's only a matter of time especially now he has £1,000s going into his bank account again.

He was awesome after lockdown last year for the play off run.

He was like that though. Went through runs. When on fire he was amazing but when not he added little.

Sorry but yes!! Thats what opinions are about,if kieffer moore had 2 drug offences against him,I for one would hope we would have steered clear of him.
So here is at least one person who would stand by MM ,why do you assume it would be "pretending" to take a moral stance? Personally in my opinion he should still be banned too!! And he has taken ccfc for a ride TWICE,so f-ck him, and his lack of apology,to the club that put umpteem 10's of thousands in his bank, and worst of all his lack of any apology for being such a let down! Glad he played, shows how fat hes become without sniffing his weight off!

because football is about winning and taking every advantage you can....whether that be making out there is snow where there is not... squeezing in welsh cup games to run bans down.. celebrating and accepting a goal your fully aware was offside / did not cross the line ... or picking up players for a fraction of their worth because their clubs are glad to get shot because one way or another they have let them down....{ loads of examples of this } .
yes he does owe everyone at Cardiff an apology.... yes he looked fat...yes he was not very good yesterday...and quite possibly the gamble of signing him when we did not risk keeping him might not work...
truth is the rules are wrong and the second offence should have carried more than a 3 month ban...
im a bit peed about the whole thing too... but lets not pretend football or our club are beacons of morality...

to be honest, all we know is that its a cocaine use. none of us know if he was struggling with mental health issues etc, alot of people i know and consider friends have turned to drugs to help them cope, so i wont judge. by no means is it a disgrace he played against us. he probably had a point to prove, and warnock wants to win, he doesnt care about upsetting a few cardiff fans who felt let down by him.

Your last sentence speaks volumes,he let more than a "few" fans down!! And he had no trouble getting to dubai at every opportunity, so I dont believe he has mental health issues personally.I dont care he played against us either, but he shouldnt have been playing for anyone in my view,he should still be serving his SECOND ban.what message are the fa sending out otherwise? Its ok to take drugs??
