McCarthy addresses Robert Glatzel exit

Glatzel went out on loan, did you look for a replacement?

Mick McCarthy:"Yeah we did.

"We had a few pending loans that were looking like we could get one of them, then they didn’t happen. It just didn’t happen.

"In the end, if that’s the case, Mark Harris has got to play, Max Watters has got to play.

"We had Rubin in the squad as well, who is not an out and out striker, but can drop in the No.10.

"We play the players we have and some of the youngsters."

No thought of Glatzel staying?

"Not really, no. He needed a move to go and find himself, re-energise himself. Get back playing, get back scoring goals.

"I hadn’t seen that here with us.

"Max Watters, Mark Harris, I’ll play them."

A lot of responsibility for them?

"Yeah it is. But I’m quite happy to play them."

In Glatzel's defence, he's the only city player to admit he hasn't hit the heights he expected, no other player has described cardiff as their second home either, and he was hungry, just couldn't adapt his play for us, or the tough arse championship. :old: :bluebird:

Jesus you are really scraping the barrel.

Even Mcarthy said in this interview he had seen nothing in him to keep him here.
At least you are admitting he wasn't good enough to adapt now though. That progress

I think we dropped one letting glatzel go. There was really a lot more to come from him. I think him and Moore could have formed a good front to.

In relation to MM view of glatzel. this is a guy that sees a future for JW so I’m not convinced by his vision.

Scraping the barrell you say?? What by saying he admitted he hadnt reached the heights he wanted? And that he sees cardiff as his 2nd home?? Pity some of the others havent said as much about their undoubted shortfalls this year!! Only mozza has said jack, and you expect that from a captain.but I know im right in saying apart from moore(to date) every striker we've had of late, struggle to ADAPT to this teams tactics, and inabilies!!

The post I replied to was about hungry players, and glatzel showed more hunger in one interview, than any city player so far this season,so f@ck you,and your bile towards the boy.as ive said who's next for our resident scout? Looks like williams could be your next victim??

Ahh so at least two user names

Guessing that's where you find these so called Glatzel fans , just make up some user names and back up the silly argument that he is any good

Or Kieffer Moore at the moment

Just excuses which are running thin

Why are you accusing 'bluesince62' of being a multi?

Can't have any evidence, as it's simply not true...!

Cheers sven,he wont believe you though!!

Glatzel is a good player, but was never going to succeed the way we play, if only MM had arrived earlier he may have had a chance, under Harris I don't think any of the players played to their potential. Whatever people think of him he was a city player who was trying to fit in and should be applauded for that, I really hope he finds his form again and wish him well, the same as I did for any player leaving since I watched my first game in 1964, that's what supporters are supposed to do !

Agree also. I rate Glatzel as well as it plain to see he’s a decent footballer in the right team.

I’ve got to agree with bluesince62 also.

This poster loves a scapegoat type character and berates them on every other post they make.

Nelson is another player he bangs on and on about constantly. I expect that will increase now.

Totally agree...Glatziel was not as bad as many make out and was written off after just a few games on here....thought he gave his all and at least was a honest guy...couldnt play him and Moore but I wish well ...

20,000 grand a week? I think you mean 20 grand?

In Glatzel's defence, he's the only city player to admit he hasn't hit the heights he expected, no other player has described cardiff as their second home either, and he was hungry, just couldn't adapt his play for us, or the tough arse championship. :old: :bluebird:

Jesus you are really scraping the barrel.

Even Mcarthy said in this interview he had seen nothing in him to keep him here.
At least you are admitting he wasn't good enough to adapt now though. That progress

So,so glad to have pleased your ego.pmsl.

Ahh so at least two user names

Guessing that's where you find these so called Glatzel fans , just make up some user names and back up the silly argument that he is any good

Ward didn't struggle in his part time role

Neither did Patterson

Or Kieffer Moore at the moment

Just excuses which are running thin

Why are you accusing 'bluesince62' of being a multi?

Can't have any evidence, as it's simply not true...!

Cheers sven,he wont believe you though!!

So who is BC then ?

I was talking to you and he replied which looks very like it was you when he says " glad to please you're ego "
Strange as that name had not posted previously?

Personally I would say that's a nor.al multi mistake getting confused with what user name they are using

You coukd always send a pm and ask him but even a quick look at the BC-CB acciunt will tell that (a) he is not a newbie, (b) his posts are not controversial, and (c) his opinions on several things don't tally with those of bluesince62

You got it wrong, you made an assumption and now you are perpetuating your error...

Move on, please... :ayatollah:

Well personally, I couldnt care less with what you think anymore! You have been advised to pm bc,whiever it is?? I have checked myself, and he isnt new,he certainly doesnt hold the same views as myself? I really dont know how what happened happened, but glad to please your ego was what I posted, not this bc person!! But you are really barking up the wrong tree pal. Whats a normal multi? Anyone who feels the need to create fictional usernames is in my eyes, not normal.so do yourelf a favour thomas, try asking bc who they are, im sure they will put you straight if you ask?? You have been told you are wrong, but dont seem able to take it,why? Desperation??? Traits the famous "im never wrong" poster displays!! Grow the f#ck up,and move on.
Im sure one of our players need slagging off!!
