The thing is people can moan about the manager but until we have footballing men and not just business men on the board we aren’t going anywhere really.

The problem is more than just a manager at Cardiff imo.

To be honest, I'm much happier with Mick McCarthy than I would have been if it was Mark Bowen

I’ve always liked McCarthy. He wouldn’t have been my choice though. I see him a bit like Pullis in that we might have gone for him too late on and the game may have past him by.

That said, I do think he’s got a cracking record in the championship (unlike Tony). Obvs Sunderland and then Wolves promotions were some time ago but, and bear with me, I actually think he did at least ok at Ipswich . His stats there would suggest otherwise but Ipswich has been a graveyard for a whole host of managers who went there with good reputations. He was the only one to hold his job for a decent amount of time. He did well then, ok things were very average for his final season. I felt they were very foolish to get rid of him. The next season they sunk like a ship. Look at where they are now

We needed a experianced manager to stabilise the team and we got one of the most successful ever in this league

Can't really complain about the appointment at all

Whether they have an eye on the future with a younger man we will find out in the summer with either a contract extension or Mick standing aside for someone else.

He still has a lot in him and at 61 he is younger than a lot of premier league managers.
