This season ranks as one of the worst I have ever known and i've seen it all when we just finished outside the bottom 2 of the old division 4, beaten at home by 5 by Maidstone, and Cambridge hitting 8 against us at Ninian.
I wont board bash, there is no longer any point. I just hope Dalman et al read this forum.
Shame on Cardiff City.

Oh come on that's a bit of an exaggeration! There were some very dark days in the dungeon effectively watching non league football. This season is disappointing but hardly a total disaster. We've no idea what weve offered for this player and maybe the tactic is just to unsettle him at the moment. We were all critical in the summer about the window and we signed Harris and Moore. Tutu will be fit again soon so why not be cheeky with bidding for first division players? Too much over negativity about the club at the moment. I don't have faith in Harris but I dont think the club is total shambles either.

What is this guy worth in reality?
He is a league 1 full back with 4 months left on his contract before he can walk for nothing.
We might have offered £250k - £500k which is reasonable but Crewe for some reason could be valuing the player in the multi millions.
Just because the crewe manager didn't like the bid it doesnt mean we were wrong , they could just be being unrealistic with the valuation
Its interesting that the club gets pelted for overpaying all the time and now we are trying our luck going apparently lower , we are disgusting and useless.
Our supposed fans are shocking.

But we were a lower league club and we had low crowds and no expectations, we never expected much and we played week in week out Hartlepool, Darlinghton, Halifax , Rochdale, Torquay etc
Players played for the shirt, it was a different world.
If we lost, as long as they gave 100% we went home happy.
I watched City 9 yrs in league 4, never missed one home or away game during that time.
I have had a season season ticket for 49 consecutive seasons.
My family sponsored players, matches and sponsored local players etc
I would actually have tears in my eyes in matches we won and lost.
But I can tell you now I was proud in them days of my club, the badge, the shirt and the closeness of our club.
Now I would never shed a tear, these owners have broken me and many others I know.
Our owners today act like they are Prem, so we expect that in return.
Our club now keeps a distance from its fans and we are just customers as they remind us.
So we expect much more.

One of our best ever right backs was on TV tonight,Mark Delaney was signed from the Welsh League! It’s called negotiating, you don’t initially offer the price the selling club want unless your name is Warnock!

So you are taking the word of the Crewe manager over the club just because he thinks the offer was too low ?
You are no city fan you are just out to abuse our club and owner at every opportunity wether it is warranted or not

Well said Thomas, you do not as a first offer bid what you are prepared to pay, otherwise the selling club will just say it's not enough, offer more

There's negotiating to be done for sure. However, Cardiff been accused by Crewe of taking the p*ss and made it public. Sounds bitter

The club put an offer in (which one no one knows what it was or if an official bid was even made) which is rejected and people are embarrassed because their manager doesn't like it?ffs, get a grip like. We've tried to get an out of contract player on the cheap. Big deal. Well done to the club for trying to do better business.
The board have been slammed for massively over paying on players who havnt been good enough, Flint, Murphy etc. And now its embarrassing because the club have apparently put in a low bid for a player? its how deals are done. We will have our valuation and they'll have theirs. We bid, they say no and we bid again. If a deal is to be done, the transfer will be somewhere in the middle. The alternative is we come straight in with a high offer and potentially over pay on a player.

Couldn’t have worded it better myself and just to add, surely Cardiff City are entitled to make a bid of any amount, just as the players current team are within their right to refuse the offer. I’d rather go through the negotiations process and risk missing out, than overpay.

I'm not an expert negotiator of course, but perhaps a very poor opening bid that infuriates a potential seller is not good strategy. Crewe seem to be genuinely fuming

Absolutely agree Lew.
I used the ‘drama queen’ analogy on another thread and so many of the posters on here are just looking to moan about the club at any excuse.
Why shouldn’t the club negotiate especially in these times?
If Crewe think the initial offer is too low then f**k em. We either go back with an improved bid or walk away. No different to any other club including the biggest clubs in the world relatively speaking.
