Well Done Harris and team today

Sat Nov 28, 2020 4:55 pm

Best way to shut up people is walk the talk.

Few people disappointed today I guess. Only good as you last game in this fickle world.

Well I'm not happy! That cnut who hit the post at the end cost me my bet,I had a tenner on a 4-1 win for city.
Only kidding, the run starts here!! C'mon city!!!!!!

Well said. Couldn't understand how some could want their own club to lose.

A good win but we need to kick on from it now.

A big result for Neil Harris but if we don't build on it against Huddersfield on Tuesday then it counts for nothing.

A quote usually reserved for those about to get chopped.. think most people are happy for the win but it changes little.

I was on City but both teams to score ..... Never mind losing in this way though.

A lot depends on what team he picks for Tuesday. Will he drop Mark Harris to the bench or give him another outing? Will they go for it like today, or revert back to being too cautious? I didn't pay to watch it, but it made a nice change for the Sky reporters on Gillette SS to be praising city instead of moaning how boring we are. Another 3 points on Tuesday and maybe we'll think we've turned the corner. :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Excellent performance from everyone , especially the front 2, lovely movement and running off the ball.

More of the same Tuesday please NH.

I’ll hold my hand up and say I’m really pleased we win...playing that style of football. Long may it continue. :bluescarf:

A very good win today no doubt, and I am very pleased for Mark Harris. After being shipped out to non league, I thought his chances with us were finished.

I certainly dont want to get into the habit of thinking were back after a decent performance like we did against Barnsley however.

What this does is put more pressure on the team to prove it wasn't a fluke on Tuesday against Huddersfield.

As for Harris' future, as someone said, it changes nothing as another loss over the next game or so will still see him gone.

Well said
Some supporters just can’t take losing..
Harris did a great job last season and has had to cut wage bill this year, also trying to improve Playing style.
The players put in a big one today for him.
Will have upset a few on here waiting to have another pop at our manager.

I’m certainly not upset. Keep playing this way in front foot and I’ll be Harris’ biggest fan.

You’re right on all counts. City fans (including me), don’t like loosing. Harris did do a job last season,,, which beggs the question?
It’s all about consistently, a run of results is what’s required now.

Keep up the front foot play. We going up!!

Much more positive today. Both on the pitch and this forum. However, as has been mentioned, we must follow it with more of the same

Re: Well Done Harris and team today

Great result, but let’s not get carried away. Luton were poor. We need to go on a winning run before we can turn the corner. To get in the top 6 we need to go on a run.

The players turned up today to a man, Well done City and Mr Harris

I’ll say this Specifically After we’ve won a game and not a another loss.

Imagine another scenario we haven’t scored first and the opposition manager hasn’t got the set up of his team wrong, which manager would you prefer out of Jones or Harris to change things around today ? with either formation or change personnel ?

The manager who set Up the formation of his team wrong today had the Guts/knowledge to change it around before half time, It didn’t effect the result but he tweeked his team rightly or wrongly in order to try and change the outcome of the game.

I would refer you to the past handful of games of recent past where the management team has in the main has just changed like for like after 60 mins or so. And in other games where the opposing managers have got one over on us by adapting their game.

If you want to see the proof in the pudding watch both Fulham play off games last season in the full, watch the difference in Fulham’s play after each and every water break in each game, and after Parker could be seen giving concise clear instructions to his players, this is the difference between a manager that can make a difference and a journeyman manager that can not.
So well done City well done players well done Mr Harris today, but today’s result has done nothing to change my mind about the person in charge.

Me too. But he changed it to the bleedin obvious, every man and his dog could see the problem.

More than happy winning playing proper football rather than theoretical training ground bollox that we can't do well enough.

Perfect time to bring Pack on to slow the game down, not a good starting tactic.

Is it me or did I miss change of tactics? Yes we were more positive but that was because we scored 1st from corner and got a quick 2nd...... 3 of our goals were from corners hardly surprising as we are up there for dead ball goals.... didnt see a massive change in tactics just looked better on ball because of for mentioned early goals! Musnt forget despite Luton being above us they were as poor a team I've seen us play this season.... Barnsley is a reminder that winning doesn't mean Harris changed his tactics to achieve the result as subsequent games showed? I'm not convinced changes made today were the reason for win as take away 3 dead ball goals what else did we do besides put in 20shots with 6 on target.....

Harris must still be sacked on Monday. McInnes would be a much better option. Harris is not good enough for a club like ours.

Well deserved win today against a poor side....did a professional job in them.
Only question I have is why he didn’t put Benkovic on as a sub?
When we were 3 up, could have had 15 min -20 mins .

If they were a poor side sitting in 11th position in the table we must be a really shit side!!!

Just because they are called Luton Town, it does not mean they are a poor side. How many games of theirs have you seen?

They had excellent run of results to get where they are... today they dropped a striker for another defensive midfielder to contain us like every other team have done and hope to score from our errors! It failed because we scored early., today they were poor and we may not be shiitte side but we certainly play like it this season...... but as a point about benkovic Harris put on dropped players so why not him?

are you trying to say we were not very poor and should be much higher up on the league..... ?

thats what people could see and thats why he was under pressure.... long may the run last as i doubt anyone really wants to change a manager other than if we are clearly under achieving...
