I think both Harris and Cooper deserve huge praise for guiding both of us into the play offs, in what is the hardest year I can remember in terms of quality of the big guns.
If I’m speaking honestly, I don’t give either of us much of a chance of promotion, but we are in it and anything can happen in nervy play off games.
On to the play offs!

Some cracking results this evening! Best sides made it to the top half in the end.

Congratulations indeed. The way I see it, Brentford are on a wobble, Fulham are strong but can be beaten, City are on a roll and getting better, and Swansea, in fairness did a job and will fancy themselves regardless. Every end of season a team “bottles it”,,, and that accolades Now goes to Forest.

In 2010 on my way to Wembley, I thought Blackpool didn't have a prayer against us!
Any of the four clubs are in with a shout.
Very helpful for us and Swansea with the fact we're both heading into the play-offs on the back of big wins.
I have a feeling at least one of us will be in the final, not predicting side which side though!
Maybe even both.

I think this may be a rare occasion where both sides may well be hoping to play the other in the Final?

Congratulations mate
Have to say, over the course of the whole season I think both clubs have looked ropey but both will have the advantage of going into the play offs as underdogs.
Wed Jul 22, 2020 9:28 pm
Read the Fulham forum and they think they are already in the final. Such a disrespectful bunch of tossers. An all Wales final would be brilliant but not sure my heart would take it. I still think Brentford have played the best football of all teams this season including Leeds. Its a great achievement to have both Cardiff and Swansea in the play offs.

Yes very inconsistent. Although after the Covid break both of us have put some really good results together.
You are right in the sense that all pressure now on Brentford and Fulham as the favourites.

I fancy one of us to make it actually. Think the pressure has told on Brentford and I have a feeling (hope) we may do Fulham over two legs. Who knows tho

Good morning fellow 62r!! Hope you are well mate? I posted at the restart that we would win 7 and draw 2 of the remaining 9 games, well we won 6 lost 2 and drew one,so not far off was I? And I also said we would play leeds in semi and the jacks, who I also said would sneak into 6th by one goal difference!! I also added we would beat the jacks in the final,so all in all,I'm gutted I never put some money on it! Still time I guess

I believe on our current form we can match anyone in a play off situation, so c'mon city let's fly high.I bet there isn't one jack fan, that truly believed after seeing us go 3 up,that the results would work out as they did! I mean who thought stoke would put 4 past forest away? I'm kind of glad though, forest played a stinker regards Adomah, and payback is a bitch eh?

two london sides v two welsh sides,it's going to be nervy as f@ck,but we have earned this extension to the season, let's finish it in style

Morning mate
If (and it’s a big if) we played Swansea in the final I seriously don’t think I could watch it. I’d fancy them to do us on a big pitch if I’m honest.
Great that there’s 2 more games at least for the season though eh

Stop fretting mate, its written in the stars

(or just my head) I remember when I posted my perfect end of season prediction, a fellow poster replied "if carslberg did end of seasons" I am with you on having to watch us play them in the final, but it's the final, and not everything goes to script

just imagine seeing our club promoted to the premier league 3 times in our lives, after waiting so many years to see the first!! C'MON BLOOOOOOOOOOBIRDS.
Thu Jul 23, 2020 12:44 am
I still fancy Brentford to win them by beating the Jacks then us but I hope I’m wrong.
Anyway all 4 sides have a good chance now and it’s going to be a great 5 games to watch
Thu Jul 23, 2020 5:31 am
Same to you!
Cardiff and Swansea are both in excellent form and go into the play offs with a positive mindset, whereas Brentford and Fulham will both have an element of disappointment at not gaining automatic promotion. It’s going to be interesting.
Thu Jul 23, 2020 5:42 am
Nothing to lose now, so play without fear, and give it 100%. The worst that can happen now is another season in possibly the world's most competitive league, which many prefer to the cash greedy Premier League.

Ive seen enough second tier and lower league football to last a lifetime its competitive because the standards not that good time to emulate Leicester wolves and Sheffield Utd .

I favour a South Wales final.
I feel Swansea have a better chance of overturning Brentford than we do against Fulham. Brentford look very nervy against Barnsley who in my opinion deserved their win last night. If the Jacks can come away with something from the first leg I feel that will be enough for them to get to the final.
As for us against Fulham well I feel we have the more difficult tie. I felt we were unlucky against them the other day and will need to up our game. Our performance was good and if we repeat that then hopefully the result will be different. If we do overcome them then I think we will go into the final with the edge against Brentford or Swansea.

A south wales final would be a total distraction. I just hope Brentford turn up as they should beat Swansea comfortably if on their game. In the league fixtures this year they beat them 3 v 0 and 3 v 1. The fact that Swansea have achieved the play offs is an utter fluke. Played against ten men last night for much of the game for a start. A mix of unbelievable luck and Forest being shockingly unprofessional is the reason they are there. I am still shaking me head how they have done it.
For me whoever wins the game between us and Fulham will get promoted. They are the team I didn't want to play over two legs but they are beatable. We just have to take our chances in front of goal as we will have less of them than Fulham. I would also get practising penalties now too!

“Luck” and “a fluke”
Got to hand it to you for at least not trying to hide the bitterness...

Very unpredictable it could be any combination?
Harris is a good Manager and seems to thrive on the mental side and keeping his players focussed with their feet on the ground, but very confident, I think he gives us a great chance.
Impossible prediction is we beat Fulham, Brentford should beat Swansea, we beat Brentford 2 nil in the final.
Positives for us is the 5 subs, it seems to have made a big difference and Harris uses them well to change or see out a game, we have pace and goals ready to come on early in the 2nd half.

its a game of very narrow margins at the best of times mate.. we were lucky to not have a first half penalty awarded last night... you lot must have had buckets full for those results last night to have two 3 goal margins go in your favour. wow .. if i were you id be crossing my fingers in hope we hadnt used it all up and it continues because anyone can win these play offs... and luck will defo play a part...

No it isn’t, it’s a game of 46 league matches. You end up where you deserve to.
It isn’t luck we won 4-1, we deserved to and went out intending to do just that, to win by a large margin was the literal aim of what we were out there for. It wasn’t luck Stoke smashed Forest, they also deserved to and went out to do just that.
If results are deemed as lucky just because they benefit you then every single team in the top 6 is just as lucky as eachother as they all were lucky enough to win enough points to get there.
Or of course there is the sensible view that you scraping in by 1 win and us scraping in by our superior attack and defence record is the result of simply being better than the clubs we were competing with... but of course bitterness often doesn’t like sense so you do you mate.

You were definitely lucky that Reading had a man sent off otherwise you would not have scored all those goals!
your player fell over holding his face the Reading player did not touch him, you lot are cheating sods!

Why was it luck? We frustrated them and one of their players lashed out, that isn’t luck. That’s like saying “it’s lucky Madrid got Ronaldo or they wouldn’t have scored all those goals”. That’s football, goals, players, yellow cards, red cards... these happen week in week out, it’s the game.
You had 4 red cards for the opposition this season (including against Fulham), does that mean you were lucky to accumulate the 3 points you needed to get into the playoffs? Did you have any penalties? Are they lucky too?
Or do things like that only count as “lucky” if they suit

Your player started it elbowing the reading player he pushed back on his chest and he went over holding his face, cheating sod, even your former player commentating said he did not like what your player had done!
Perhaps you did not watch the incident, you need to look at it before making your stupid comments!
Thu Jul 23, 2020 12:17 pm
Also - we only needed to win by 2.
To say we wouldn’t have if they didn’t have a red card is silly considering we were already 1-0 up - and could have been 3-0... funnily enough we were “unlucky” not to be.
Thoroughly deserved win by a margin even greater than we needed.

No he didn’t, I think you may need to watch it again. Kristain Oleary said he didn’t like to see players going down easily as it’s something he never did as a player.
He lashed out, made contact with the head and the player went down. Red card.
Cry luck all you like, doesn’t change the fact we needed to win by 2 and were already 1-0 up and all over them.... deservedly won by 3
