" LATEST: AS IT STANDS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP "

AS IT STANDS (including 12 point deduction for Wigan):

2nd - West Brom

3rd - Brentford

4th - Fulham

5th - Cardiff City

6th - Swansea City

22nd - Charlton

23rd - Wigan

24th - Hull

The Championship regular season concludes on Wednesday night.

There is still a lot to play for with automatic promotion, play-off places and relegation all to be decided.

Below are the permutations for each of these as well as all the fixtures on the final. Every match kicks off at 7.30pm.

For the relegation permutations, this is assuming Wigan's appeal is unsuccessful and they are deducted 12 points.

Championship final day fixtures - all kick off at 7.30pm on Wednesday

Birmingham City v Derby County

Brentford v Barnsley - Live on Sky Sports

Bristol City v Preston North End

Cardiff City v Hull City

Leeds United v Charlton Athletic

Luton Town v Blackburn Rovers

Millwall v Huddersfield Town

Nottingham Forest v Stoke City

Reading v Swansea City

Sheffield Wednesday v Middlesbrough

West Bromwich Albion v QPR - Live on Sky Sports

Wigan Athletic v Fulham

Automatic Promotion

West Bromwich Albion will be promoted if they at least match Brentford and Fulham's results.

Brentford will be promoted if they better West Brom's result and match Fulham's result.

Fulham will be promoted if they win, West Brom lose and Brentford fail to win.

Play-Offs

Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City both require a point to guarantee reaching the play-offs.

Swansea City have to win and hope either Cardiff or Forest lose to reach the play-offs - they will also need a five-goal swing to go above Forest.

Relegation

Hull, Barnsley and Wigan all need to win to avoid relegation.

Luton are the team they are looking to catch and if Luton win, Hull and Barnsley will effectively be down due to Charlton's goal difference.

Wigan have more hope if they win and Charlton lose, because Wigan have a much better goal difference than Charlton.

Championship: The relegation battle that could be decided by lawyers

Another memorable 46-game Championship campaign reaches its conclusion on Wednesday, with 11 of the 12 games having something riding on them.

And while West Brom, Brentford and Fulham battle to join Leeds in the Premier League, it looks like lawyers will have an impact on relegation.

Hull, Barnsley and Luton are the bottom three, but Charlton, Middlesbrough and Birmingham are still not safe.

And above them, Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby are at risk of points deductions that could directly affect the lower half of the table.

On Monday, the English Football League (EFL) released a statement that tried to clarify the situation.

It has now become certain that long after the final whistle is blown on Wednesday, it will still not be known which clubs are going down.

Tony can't see anyone going to court as points deduction can be put on a club anytime .....previously clubs have had points deduction held over to following season for various reasons! Clubs cannot demand it be done this season just to save them from relegation :old:

Always thought Wigan would get the deduction this season if it relegated them but if it didnt then it would be next season.

Talking to a QPR mate today, he said lump it on a WBA win, they hate Fulham and Brentford and have sold a player to WBA and stand to lose a fortune in the signing on fee if WBA doesn't go up, he's expecting them to play the kids and roll over for them!!!

Would be worth a bet if it wasn't 1/4!

Wigan's will definitely be this season, the EFL have confirmed that - obviously subject to appeal.

But a successful appeal, which in itself is unlikely, would see the deduction totally removed and not delayed until next season.

Nobody really knows what's going on with Sheffield Wednesday and Derby but it's generally believed that they won't be punished on this season's total.

Team news headlines - Baggies change four

Here are some of the key takeaways from the team news:

Needing a win to guarantee promotion, West Brom make four changes: Kyle Bartley, Darnell Furlong, Filip Krovinovic and Callum Robinson come in for Ahmed Hegazi, Conor Townsend, Matt Phillips and Hal Robson-Kanu. Charlie Austin is on the bench.

Brentford's one change sees one Dane replace another in midfield as Emiliano Marcondes swaps in for Mathias Jensen

Wigan are unchanged, as they host fourth-placed Fulham

Playmaker Aiden McGeady returns to start, as relegation-threatened Charlton's only switch
The Addicks face a Leeds side - celebrating the title - who have made seven changes, but they had made several changes for their previous game too, so it's not quite as weak a side as it might sound. Hernandez, White, Harrison, Cooper, Klich and Bamford are all starting.

Teenager Jude Bellingham starts for Birmingham in his final game before moving to Borussia Dortmund for a record fee for a 17-year-old. The Blues have also dropped Scott Hogan to the bench.

Hull change two, as James Scott and keeper George Long both start.

Now West Brom take what could be a big step towards the Premier League. They're back on level terms, just before half-time.

Callum Robinson slips a lovely through ball to Grady Diangana on the left of the penalty area and Diangana produces a clinical, low finish.

Slaven Bilic pumps his fist and yells 'come on'.

Of all the teams hoping to claim second spot tonight, the Baggies are now the only ones not losing.
