LEEDS UNITED PROMOTED TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Another full set of fixtures in the Championship this weekend.

Cardiff City will guarantee a play-off place with a win, if Millwall and Swansea fail to win.

Leeds United need just a point to secure automatic promotion. West Bromwich Albion will also be promoted if they win and Brentford lose.

Again, I have highlighted in bold the matches which effect Cardiff City.

There are three matches live on Sky Sports.

This weekend's Championship fixtures and results

Barnsley v Nottingham Forest (3pm, Sunday)

Blackburn Rovers 4-3 Reading

Charlton Athletic 2-2 Wigan Athletic

Derby County v Leeds United (2pm, Sunday) - Live on Sky Sports

Fulham 5-3 Sheffield Wednesday

Huddersfield Town 2-1 West Bromwich Albion

Hull City 0-1 Luton Town

Middlesbrough 1-3 Cardiff City

Preston North End 2-0 Birmingham City

Leeds will be promoted if West Brom don't win tonight.

West Brom will be promoted if they win tonight and Brentford lose tomorrow.

Huddersfield have taken an early lead against West Brom

West Brom have equalised.

They have to win tonight or Leeds will be promoted and Brentford could go above West Brom into 2nd.

Funny listening to Agbonlahor on Sky today; he reckons Brentford should go up as West From have been a yo-yo club over the last few years and it's time to give someone else a chance...

No Villa bias there, then?

Oh dear that's what you get for not getting ball into box more? WBA needed a win and insisted on playing pretty football when called for direct football .. good for us though :occasion5:

Great set of results tonight !!!!

WBA look as if they may have blown their automatic place. You have to fancy Brentford to turn Stoke over tomorrow. If we can nail down the 6th place and Brentford go onto win tomorrow. I for one would rather face the Baggies than Brentford any day. West Brom are not playing well and with the form we are in at present we are more than capable of us getting through to the final.
OK i maybe getting a little a head of myself but I believe all the ducks are starting to line up Come on the Bluebirds :ayatollah: :occasion5: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Leeds plus Brentford both up now IMO can’t see anything but Brentford continuing to dominate and win their last 2 games which is good for us :ayatollah:

Playoffs wether we are in them or not should be a good watch. If we don’t go up then I would like to see Forest go up. An actual big club unlike the many the media love to brand as being ones. Plus WBA are just a yo yo club, hate everything about Fulham.

That now makes it even more important we get to the play off.

That has now made promotion a big possibility.

Credit to Leeds, they thoroughly deserve promotion. Id love to see West Brom fcuk it up to be honest

It will be interesting to see if they have much money to spend, people seem to be saying James Milner will go there etc but he must be on top whack wages at Liverpool, I guess he could be their Bellamy.

Don't get me wrong they deserve to go up but they don't stand out to me like a great team, I can see them coming straight back down like Villa look like doing to be honest.

It's just a personal feeling, I might be well wide of the mark and it wouldn't be the first time but my gut feeling tells me they will struggle next season badly.

I'm fact I think whoever goes up this season will come straight back down, might put a bet on it, think the promoted teams will struggle to recruit in the times we are living in to make their squads that extra bit competitive they need to stay up.

I know it might sound daft to say but of all the seasons to finally go up this is probably the worst isn't it?

100% agree.

For all teams this is the worst time to go up, due to the current pandemic.

Depends on who they recruit but I don't see them staying up, I would rate Brentford as having a much better chance with their current squad/way they play than Leeds.

The difference with Leeds is they have a X factor in Bielsa.
He will be able to attract a lot of high quality players from across South America and Europe . It's very likely he will be the difference in whether they stay up or go back down.
