the true figures will never be given.. covid on death certificate and the person has been cremated .. but there are bits of truth out there...NHS England said last week 9 out of 10 deaths are of people 60 and over with an average of 2 serious other illnesses...and that all though mortality figures are running higher than normal its very possible that later in the year we will experience below normal figures because there is a significant overlap of those most at risk of covid19 and those at risk of dying this year anyway..? like with so many things time might give us answers..

Piers is playing to a much larger far more gullible audience who think numbers he has just read in the sun newspaper are more accurate than the official figures in some way it means he is saying it as it is because he shouts a lot.

The amount of fake news especially on facebook even from the news is unbelievable.

Since that bank holiday where the beaches were actually full i havent seen anyone not socially distancing.

My biggest annoyance is people on bikes wizzing past people with little thought.

Agree,we will never really get to know he real numbers but it's the same in many countries, Turkey seem to think they have it licked already,and they never entree a full lockdown? Then again,if you say something that goes against erdogan and his puppets,you pay for it! ! They are behind us on timescale since first case,so not believing that either,trouble is,they have the majority of the people believing everything they say! Maybe as you say, in time we get to learn more.

I thought it was a war against a lethal virus that there is no cure from ,that you cannot beat and we were in huge danger until a vaccine is found ?
suddenly its all about exit strategy.... the 2 things do not in anyway overlap...especially when the numbers across Europe now are ENORMOUS compared to when these countries locked down...

Helps if you have a science background, but its basically a discussion re: the virus genome and the difficulties in dealing with viruses, and a discussion below.

Over last few days I noticed a BBC news reader announced ''The UK death rate reaches 28,000'' on the day that the lowest daily mortality rate was recorded for weeks
I really think that the UK public want the good news as well as the bad.

I have said as much myself,the agenda is to scare the shit out of you (not us!) Then watch them queue up for "the vaccine" like sheep in a pen!! The media have a leading role in all this,constantly putting out fear adverts etc,I mean here we are 2 months in,and NOW they run an advert,saying bleach kills everything, including coronavirus!??? It's a proper propaganda effort by those in power,and some posters on here it seems? No good news,just repetitive doom and gloom all the time,and those of us who see things in a different way? Keep it up guys,don't stop thinking for yourselves,or writing your feelings on here,it's all about opinions as has been said many times before.
