Latest news on Striker Isaac Vassell:
Isaac Vassell is still showing no real sign of making a comeback, however it is understood he is back training in some light capacity. You have to feel sorry for him given his horrific injury record in recent seasons , he had been prone to injuries, especially as he is only 26.
On his day Vassell can be a great asset when he is fit

He was always injured while at Birmingham, didn’t understand why we signed him, considering his terrible injury record, another big waste of money in my eyes

Wasted money again
Sat Feb 08, 2020 11:52 am
Waste of money, time and resources. Need to get rid ASAP

Absolutely ridiculous business. His injury record is worse than Jazz Richards and for a young lad it just means it will only get worse. Shame because he looks decent.

1 goal in 23 in 2 seasons at Brum.
Incredibly poor signing.
The transfer committee did well there.

Shocking waste of money by the transfer committee, you got to feel sorry for Harris inheriting players like this

Warnock needs to look at himself on this one. 3m on a striker who has been injured 2 years....
Sat Feb 08, 2020 12:43 pm
It appears no one on the committee was prepared to say no to NW.
Hence the present financial mess.

Wez, you were def not saying that at the time, I said Brum fans said he was injury prone and had not proven himself to warrant paying the money at the time.
In fact every Warnock money signing you praised them and dont forget totally sanctioned by the famous Committee.

I called it a terrible panic signing at the time.
It quite frankly beggered belief.

When he is not injured he can run very fast but it's only for two games a season. When we signed him virtually everyone knew he was a crock apart from Neil Warncok and the transfer committee. God awful signing.
Sat Feb 08, 2020 1:53 pm
Hugely unimpressed when we first signed him, and looks like an even worse signing now
Sat Feb 08, 2020 1:58 pm
For God's sake pay him off and get him off the books. One of Warnocks brainless acquisitions.

Unfortunately not as straightforward as that if he’s got 2 years left in contract. Why would he want to move?

If hes got 2 and a bit years left the pay off would be rather large

Why oh why did we sign him ?

Be careful lads we are all being negative about a player might get banned

My Facebook comment earlier:
Appeared ok on Friday night against Reading, walked into the Grandstand door with a spring in his step and no signs of discomfort.... seems like another player happy picking up a pay check for doing sod all

Kev McNaughton and Gavin Rae had terrible injury records before joining Cardiff - they turned out alright.

No negativity from me mate.

I think most of us expected this when he signed....he wasnt even needed.

I've never understood how players get away with it. Any other job you would be deemed not fit to continue duties and be relieved of them. Footballers just seem to be able to be injured month after month year after year and it's just accepted.
Surely a player who is injured this much is not fulfilling his contract
What even is his injury and how did he get it ?
It wasnt in a match ashe hasn't played

So everyone is slating Vassell and writing him off because he is injured?
Does anyone actually fancy waiting to see what he can do when he does get fit, before judging him?
It's unfortunate he has another long injury, but nobody can predict the future. The fact he's injured doesn't mean he's a bad player and he certainly doesn't warrant the negativity in this thread. Most of us have barely seen him play yet!
Vassell may bounce back and prove to be a good signing, I think he needs to have a run of games before any of us can fairly judge him. We will just have to wait and see. It's way too soon to write him off just yet.

Haven’t slated him, just stated he looked fine walking with a bounce in his step into the club at Fridays night match against reading

You've just accused him of being a player happy to pick up a pay cheque, so you've certainly slated his character there. It's encouraging if he is walking freely though, hopefully he can start some light training again soon.
Our physios and coaches will decide when he's ready to train and play again. When Vassell next plays, I will be giving him my full support, not casting him aside like everyone else has disappointingly done in this thread.

Just pointing out that there are many players in our club more than happy to be picking up a pay cheque for not much input.... easy enough to fob off a physio/dr by saying ooohh yeah still a bit tight.... not saying he is but as I said he had a spring in his step and didn’t look to be struggling in any form walking into the club... he’s already training apparently so only time will tell, I’m not impressed tbh Ralls came back for 1 match and wasn’t quite ready and ultimately paid the price

Agree, but when I suggested this on another thread, it was deemed as me having a go at Warnock, when what I suggested was as they had little to no experience football wise, and put their faith in a manger with bucket loads of it?? Hence agreed to the deals for players, after all,he knows more than us on the board/committee,he knows best so to speak?just a thought.a costly mistake if so.
