That led to Peltier putting out his statement on Twitter, how much he enjoyed his 5 years etc

This led to Lee Peltier joining WBA yesterday.

Neil Harris needs to be able to put his own stamp on the squad. Unprofessional from Pelts but he isn't the player we need if we want to progress. Defensively sound but painfully slow after the half way line and posed no attacking threat. Prepared to give Dion and Jazz a go and we move on. Peltier will get one last hurrah in the premier league but he is a solid pro, nothing else.

If true then absolutely the right decision by Harris to let him go.

Not good professionalism from Peltier in my opinion.

Personally I wasn't that bothered that he left anyway, as we brought in a replacement on loan to compete with Jazz.

A new broom and all that.

Peltier has too look after himself and his family, great move for him especially at his stage of his career.

Peltier has been a good solid full back, however, frustrating, always looks for the back pass,, or runs so far to half way line then stops.
Obviously not the way Harris wants his defenders to play.

Might be ,the person I was speaking to didn't go into details just that he wanted the same terms as Tomlin I think tomlin had a 2 year with an option for a 3rd ?

Morrison got a new contract shortly after Sheffield Wednesday made a decent bid for him...which you know . so is tying down a valuable asset after another club has shown interest unusual in the eyes of a football financial expert..?

I think the point here is that player wanted more than the manager and/or club wanted to give him. No probs with that as it’s footy. But all the pro anti-Harris mob are out, what is it with you guys. None of it really matters. He's 33. He needs to look after himself as.his career comes to a close and the club needs to do what's right for Cardiff city. If that means his future lies elsewhere then so be it. We can't complain. He's been an excellent servant to the club in his 5 years with us causing no issues and being a good pro. He could have walked anyway in a few months but he hasn't. Saving us wages and him leaving us on a relative high as opposed to leaving under a cloud because he didn't play for 6 months and "stole a living"
Jazz is solid. This new lad apparently is good. We do now have cover on both sides of defense and now we seem to actually be playing a little more football perhaps they are better suited to the new evolving style. I won't be criticising pelts. He hardly held us to ransom and he got a move to a club fighting for promotion. Good luck to him.

my point was people have jumped in calling Peltier unprofessional based on a rumoured argument about a new contract that then other posters started guessing what aspect of the contract it might be about.... never my favourite player but has always put a shift in, been a good servant and to my way of thinking has been very professional..

I thought that keeping him until the end of the season would have made more sense too.

and it has crossed my mid that Pelts nose must be out of joint when he has been out there giving 100% and the next time Harris meets the press he is talking about Jazz.. he did that a few times..
but we don't know what happened between them, if anything at all . its all guesses..either or neither might have been in the wrong.

Arguments between players and managers happen. Obviously Peltier was pissed off and did what he has every right to - got himself a contract somewhere else - and if he stays there - will be playing PL football next season, good luck to him. A hard dedicated and ever present player for us. Good luck
