Obviously parked where you were not supposed to be or causing a obstruction.

Simple really

I can park legally on yellow lines For 3 hours from time shown on the disabled badge.... not the 1st time I’ve argued with them over their incompetent enforcement officers

What businesses would be obstructed
On a friday night?

Fining their own for supporting
The city's main sports club.

Not community spirited is it really.

Greedy bastards more like....

Next time take a photo of the badge and time and then you will have proof timed on your phone. You should not have been booked if you are on yellow lines with your blue badge, but if you were causing an obstruction, or parking too close to a junction or any illegal parking then you will get booked.

After 10 years using the blue badge scheme I’m pretty sure I’m up to speed where I can and can’t park mate, will definitely be taking my own pictures before leaving my car on Tuesday, that is a good idea :thumbright:

Regardless of right or wrong about parking there it is blatantly an attack on city fans! garauntee wont be there tomorrow for rugby fans! not 1st time they've targeted city fans on this rd outside firms working hours? Wonder was it council or the wannabe police assistants making name for themselves?

Some of the parking that takes place around the roundabout is appalling. Cars virtually within the space around the roundabout. Causes lots of bother when cars trying to depart as what should be clear is blocked.

Were there loading restrictions where you parked? Just a thought.

None at all, just yellow lines, I wasn’t anywhere near a business either... got done a couple of years ago around the back of Nissan dealership with the same issue badge clearly visible and booked, and that was a 3pm Saturday kick off.... take it these enforcement officers haven’t got anything better to be doing apart from racking up overtime on a Friday night

If you have grounds then appeal, no problem. If you bust the rules.. hard luck.

Re: Cardiff Council are a joke

Fri Jan 31, 2020 11:46 pm

You may park on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours if it is safe to do so but not within 15 metres of a junction or where there are restrictions on loading or unloading – indicated by yellow kerb dashes and/or signs on plates. You are not entitled to park on yellow lines in 'off-street' car parks.

I dont think anybody should be parked on double yellows at any time. Disabled badge or not , day or night, football or rugby makes no difference. The lines are there for a reason.

Yes you can park on double yellow lines as long as you are not within a certain distance of a junction or parked dangerously or blocking the road for the emergency service. To be sure park in a resident permit bays. :bluescarf:

What nonsense.

Attack on city fans

Why the hell would rugby fans be parked on double yellows down hadfield road

Get a grip like people want to risk parking like that it’s up to them but when you get caught don’t cry about it.

Yes to stop football fans from parking on rd near ground! Plenty of rds like hadfield rd don't t have yellow lines like sloper rd for instance it same width cars park on street but no yellow lines unless required... but now they use bollards to stop you parking there on match days yet its carnage at school times but that's okay.... no such carnage for football on Saturday but your stopped from parking is that not victimising footy fans?

Hadfield Road having yellow lines is more to do with if being full of Car Dealerships there would be cars everywhere if there weren’t double yellows.

An those cones are put up in residential streets to stop people parking bumper to bumper in front of peoples houses and drives.

Stop trying to be a victim. It’s nothing to do with football fans.

Well considering I’ve got it due to having Spinal Muscular Atrophy (my left thigh muscle has wasted away) I’m one of the “legal blue badge holders” hence a 19plate car too....

Not all disabilities are visible

No offence mate but why dont you park in one of the multiple empty disabled spaces in the car park on a match day ? There are loads empty nearly every match day
Everyone knows it's a risk to park on hadfield road , been talked about multiple times

Normally they throw the “you need a permit to park here” crap or they charge OTT for parking outside the ground.. ok I accept it’s less than a parking fine but the main point of this topic is an Enforcement Officer out after 7pm ticketing people.... and not just that but ticketing a blue badge holder, Cardiff Council Enforcement OfficerS don’t care if your vehicle is displaying a blue badge or not, as I said previously I had a ticket around the back of Nissan Garage a couple of years ago, same circumstances, argued that one and won and was told I couldn’t argue anymore as I’d have to pay.... don’t mind paying that’s not an issue, but stick to the letter of the law at least

For every good post allan does he also does one ridiculous post like that one.

You can imagine the meeting at the council "right guys get the traffic wardens out but only for the football, we'll leave the rugby alone they can park whete they like"

I understand the parking prices and your point but there is another side of the arguement aswell. That is the fact (not saying you) but a lot of other people pretty much dump the cars wherever they like making the road dangerous for pedestrians and other road users. Its them you should be having a go at. In reality the wardens are there because of multiple complaints and are trying to stop people parking illegally. If someone got knocked over and killed because they were walking out behind a stupidly parked car people would be saying why are the council not doing anything.

That’s a totally valid point and an acceptable one, if I was blocking a bus stop/crossing etc then yeah fine no issues but seeing as I wasn’t and not the first time I’ve encountered this issue albeit with a different car but same result then I do honestly believe the council enforcement officers need to be retrained as this is blatant money making

Surely the simple answer to the OP is that if you believe you were parked legally and within the laws just appeal.

With regards to Allen’s ridiculous post, I certainly don’t think anybody is targeting City fans with traffic wardens!
