Have a day off for gods sake

Sun Jan 19, 2020 1:18 am

I didn't want Harris either but in 12 league games he's only lost f*cking 2.

4 wins, 6 draws, 2 defeats.

7 of those 12 games away from the home against teams who were at the time doing well in the League.

Things could be a lot worse, it's a tight division, 5 points off the play offs with with 54 points to play for. Turn a few of those draws in to wins and we won't be far off top 6.

Stop being so self entitles and spoilt, we are Cardiff City not Real Madrid.

Well said.

It frustrates me seeing some of the clown posts on here.
But thats what these forums are there for. The more argumentative and rediculous the post, the more hits this forum get.

Also, there was a guy in our crowd today chanting "spend some f****g money". What money? We are in debt! The only money we had, warnock spent it last season!
Some need a reality check!

Crazy mate, I wish we were doing a bit better, but I look at Stoke, Hull, Boro, Huddersfield etc all have come down like us recently and some doing a lot worse, then there's Sunderland, even Wolves, Southampton and Norwich bounced down to League 1 at one point.

VERY FEW teams bounce back up at the first time of asking, the self entitlement amongst some fans needs to stop, take it for what it is, support the team and let's hope got a play offs place.

God help us when we really have something to worry about.

Nobody has bounced back straight away since
Newcastle did who kept entire premier league players and added to it to do so about 5yrs ago.. like you say others relegated have gone to div 1 or have been poor ever since! So in that respect we have done quite well considering what NW left us with player wise. :old:

Agree with you, how people are blaming Harris baffles me. Warnock is to blame for the poor quality of the squad, Harris is doing a decent job with what's available to him.

Most sensible thread on here for a long time

Ridiculous the hounding out of a manager.

Was the quote by some ‘I rather be in blue in League two‘ - well we are in blue and in the championship and still moaning like f**k.

Agree with this.

Added to which lots were moaning about what we were watching at the end of Warnocks reign. Our current position hasn't come about overnight and won't go away overnight either.

Re: Have a day off for gods sake

Great thread by the OP. We are a club in transition and NH record is a very good one for a club in such a position. His half-time talks must be gold because on several occasions we have turned around hopeless positions.

NH is trying to slowly introduce a new way of playing with less long ball, but our players are struggling to adapt and that is why we revert to type in the second half and play so much better as the players seem more comfortable.

If we could crack the first half performance problems (as we did at Sheffield Weds) then we will achieve string of wins and propel ourselves into the top 6.

The clue to success is out there on the training field and both the coaching staff and players need to roll their sleeves up and work hard on adapting to new ways of doing things on the field of play.

He won’t turn those draws into wins.

They will more then likely turn into losses.

A decent manager would have us in the play offs

Fans are allowed their opinions/ views even if others don’t agree that’s the beauty of the game of football and the UK is about freedom of speech :thumbright:

For me NEIL HARRIS football during his 14 first team football matches has over all been boring/dire and no excitement.

Way to many draws, if you want to go anywhere you have to win games.

Also Harris keeps changing his team way to much.

Harris has also stated he is “happy with this squad, great squad, full of quality.”

Harris is not looking to strengthen his squad.

So far I think Harris has let 4-5 players go , agree with that :thumbright:

But if Harris is not going to strengthen then no one can say then Harris has not had a chance to change his squad as for me he has stated time and time again he is happy with them.

Yes for me after 14 matches in charge, you can see what type of manager he is and if Cardiff want to improve Harris is not the manager .

agreed again you have anything remotely negative to say and you are aparently not a fan of the club the people who have said oh if u dont like it go and follow swansea that makes me laugh esp when it's someone saying it who wasnt alive when I started going down city

Re: Have a day off for gods sake

Sun Jan 19, 2020 12:12 pm

Yes hes only lost 2 but in the 14 games what has changed football wise it hasnt at all we could have got hammered in quite a few of them games that's why I wasnt shocked with the QPR game and going back bit further forest had 30 odd shots on goal u only imagine what the score could have been there if they had there shooting boots on . If he picked his strongest 11 and kept it week in week out that would help but surely after 14 games he should know this and his new football mentality should be showing now

You're wasting your time, people seem to think a new manager can turn Marlon Pack into Messi and Hoilett into Ronaldo

Warnock was a decent manager, one of the best at this level. He didn’t get us near the top 6 all season. This squad is the issue, not the manager.

4 wins out of 12 is poor... stop trying to gloss over it most of the games have been garbage performances

No but after 14 games surely the manager should know his best 11 and by now implemented his new football style on the team but theres no difference at all yes only lost 2 but it isnt good enough when 90% of the games under harris we are chasing the game because we are normally behind

Or when we are 4-0 down to QPR but I’m negative because apparently there’s enough time to win 5-4 and I should be supporting the team  bore off I’ll call as spade a spade (or in Harris’ case a Slade) and voice my opinion

Re: Have a day off for gods sake

If people have a DAY off from bashing Harris they'll find something at club to bash? Losing will to live reading some of the garbage on here! Yes football generally is poor but there again people on here dont care why or are not interested all want to do is repeat same old
crap thread after thread..... as been said pep , josè, cloppy would only make slight difference if they were here, As for wanting a certain manager mmmm yes great but then what if he failed to get team going? bigger clubs than city have had the named experienced manager that you lot crave but they've failed to get out of championship with better players so not as simple as sitting on sofa and pick your manager from fifa 20 is it? Anyway cant wait
for next game and wait for same rhetoric to be on here regardless of result But cèst le vie!

Re: Have a day off for gods sake

Sun Jan 19, 2020 12:56 pm

It’s clearly a season of adjustment, not many bounce back and the last two have been right rollercoaster rides, as ever with us.
Let’s just hope we got it all in place to have a good go next season. Despite only being 3 or 6 points off the playoffs this season, we never quite make the jump up into them, so I doubt it will happen. One or two decent signings in the summer and we will be good to have a good go. If we are debt free also, I will be more than happy.

Re: Have a day off for gods sake

Pembroke why don’t you take a day off. How on earth do you know that Klopp wouldn’t get that extra % out of this squad and actually develop some of them I.e robertson, Alexander Arnold or Pep, Sir Alex, Mourinho. Do you really think they would have the same affect on the player as ex-Millwall gaffer Harris?

The fact is you don’t know but keep ramming the same rhetoric down people’s throats.
