That's the only negative isn't it.

Wish the Club would relax things for certain games, the membership is already a mockery by virtue of the fact most games are pay on the day so just chuck all tickets on general sale after season ticket holders/members have had a week at them.

Help me out here.

Carlisle was £15 and we barely had more than 4000 of our fans there. Reading is £10 and it's a bargain so we are going to sell our allocation.

However you travel it'll cost more than £5 to get to Reading. We've been there loads, it's nothing special, no particular rivalry and it's round 4 which is only one round after round 3.

Why the apathy for Carlisle home and the buzz for Reading away? It can't just be a fiver in the ticket price.

Agree.
Also many fans moaning how crap we are at the moment could be more money wasted!
So why should it be a sell out?
Players certainly not encouriging fans to travel for it to be a sell out!
If fans don't travel, blame it on recent performances.

I think with reading it is a easy to get to cheap day out.
It's a perfect opportunity to take kids to a first away day that is safe with no restrictions.
It's under 2 hours travel
No early starts or getting home late
The stadium is nice
Is just a nice trip on a saturday afternoon which at the prices stated is good value.
I think we will likely take 2.5k fans but could possibly sell the lot if we make some decent signings

Welshcasual will have to book at least 8 seats. One for him and 7 for his multis.

He certainly is Jim, all eight of him. If you cut him in two, the other half would live.

So as the thread is headed, does £5 really make that difference? That's what I'm asking? No one was interested in the Carlisle Saturday 3pm home game and moaned about the £15. It's a fiver less and a two hour travel by some mode of transport or another and the talk is of an away allocation of maybe 4400 being a sell out. Its not as if we've been on a winning run since or even yet signed a new player of any sort. I went to the Carlisle home game but Reading away provides me no buzz even if its a fiver cheaper. Maybe it's me but I'm curious how the mood for the two fixtures seems to be so different?

its a reasonable question mate and no in the cold light of day makes no sense...

me personally.. 3rd rd home to a 4th tier team , no idea what sort of team , game , crowd..ill give it a miss and nothing to do with ticket price. I watch a lot of football and those games are of low appeal..
Reading away ? full day out with mates so better craic including all being together in ground , better atmosphere. see people I don't often see since its all seater and you cant roam around anymore. and ive always felt more Cardiff away than at home , we are more together..
im not saying everyone thinks this but I do and a few of my mates do too...
and I don't think 5 quid is an issue , maybe the few moaning on here are just moaners ?

Yes, they will ask you for your mates address, as proof that he’s letting you use his fan number so best to have it ready.
