Def :thumbright: :thumbright: should be a convincing win and nothing less.
At home , Harris fields a very strong team v Carlisle from League 2 who have been doing awful and are in turmoil behind the scenes .

UPDATED:

Neil Harris needs to go ASAP and a good experienced Championship Manager brought in followed by investment as the crowds will go below 16,000 next season.

There's a lot of discontent at Brunton Park atm also I believe the new manager is well thought of but the board have not backed a manager for years at Carlisle.
My friend who lives in Santa Ponsa, massive Carlisle Fan, updated me.

This is shocking !
We looked clueless in the first half....they had 2 goes in our half and scored twice ....we haven’t created a decent chance.
See what Harris does now

Annis the team and management are a disgrace. Pathetically uninspiring appointment the correct appointment I could have seen us challenge for the playoffs but we have gone backwards.

New manager can go down as well as up? ect ect easy to say wrong appointment not so easy to get right one.... :old:

The club need to admit they’ve made a massive mistake with Harris and move quickly to replace him. If he can’t get a response after that result on Wednesday against Carlisle, then he never will.

The team look clueless - at least with Warnock there was a way of playing, even if it wasn’t working or being executed. With Harris, I have literally no idea what type of side we are - no fight, no press, no counter, no width.

They could have taken a bit more time and given proper consideration to making the correct appointment rather than rushing into appointing the first out of work cheap manager that they could find.

And what makes you think that if they sacked Harris they wouldn't make exactly the same mistake again?

Let's face it we are not going to see any decent manager at this club until the current owner leaves. He and the board have absolutely no footballing knowledge and any appointment they make from now until they leave will need to be willing to work with virtually no budget to replace the current ageing, underperforming players.

I don't think we seriously considered anyone else. It was a rushed decision. The ink was hardly dry on Warnocks resignation letter. Cheap option and said everything about Tans future plans. Any one who has been to most of the games since Harris was appointed would know we have winged a fair few of the wins and draws- Barnsley, Forest and Leeds particularly.

They might. But you have to hope that successful business men wouldn’t make the same mistake twice, football knowledge or not. They have to go for someone who has shown genuine success at this level and in building teams and I’m pretty sure that they don’t make these decisions in isolation - they must be seeking advice from someone or somewhere.

As for for money...no ones knows if there is money or not. Harris said there isn’t, but then talks about bringing players in.

All well saying rushed it but Houghton was mentioned he wants premier club he said.? Its a bit like players all well good wanting them but if they don't want to come here they wont! Who knows who they approached? But suspect Harris was possibility from start thats for sure! And I've been to 95% of games home /away , as for tans plans that is common knowledge sustainable club

Just looked at the official Cardiff Facebook page... my word the fans have turned against Harris I cannot see him getting them back unless we beat Swansea

I'm going to try hold judgement until end of feb when he's had chance to change the squad etc.

But its hard, i mean surely he can get the players motivated and training to a system in the mean time?

Well as successful businessmen they indeed seem to be making the same mistake twice. The current manager certainly does not have genuine success at this level and if they had been serious about anything other than cost cutting they would have looked to appoint somebody like a Houghton or a Pearson and promised to back them with the funds they need to make a proper attempt at getting promoted this season if not next.

Now I know it's easy for me to sit here and spend somebody else's money and of course even if they had appointed someone with the appropriate experience there is no guarantee of success but surely the chances would have been greatly increased in those circumstances?

Harris, like Slade before him, is left with having to tidy up the mess left behind by his predecessor. Tan and the board seem to be making the same mistake twice - give Malky and Ole too much freedom and appoint Slade to clean up the mess, cut costs and pray we don't get relegated. Same with Harris following Warnock.

Allow the manager to bring on who he thinks will improve the squad.
Disband the ridiculous transfer committee. Leave the decision to people who know something about football not men in suits.

When exactly do we become a "sustainable club"?

What does that mean exactly?

What does Tan do then?

2021 apparently, . Living within our means, no idea what tan does other than try sell club when debt is totally gone 2021? And lose a fair bit of money in process. :old:
