A VERY POOR & DIRE GAME OVER ALL & ENDED IN A 0-0 DRAW.

JAZZ RICHARDS / JOSH MURPHY WERE GIVEN THEIR CHANCE & BOTH STARTED.

Cardiff hardly created anything and the fans that did turn up probably wished they had not.

Two home points dropped.

Personally I dont see Lee Harris getting the best out of this talented squad and over all we are playing boring football.



The big news, was that Jazz Richards started a league match for Cardiff City for the first time in almost two years!



First-half: Preston dominated and Cardiff looked boring and seemed to have no idea, thankfully Preston dont score many goals, but over all a dire half by Cardiff.

Second-half: Cardiff improved slightly but never created much.

It was all Preston for the first 20minutes, with Preston dominating midfield.

What a save from Etheridge! Billy Bodin from point-blank range and Etheridge denied him spectacularly!

Then Cardiff managed to clear the ball off the line minutes later.

For 40minutes Cardiff looked very ordinary and had one shot on target from Lee Tomlin.

Cardiff came to life in the last 5mins and had a few attacks, to no avail.

Over all a very dire game.

Best to be said is we didn't lose or concede goal!

Down there with some of the worst football displays of Recent years... no shot in target, no chances created at home. Likely to be bottom half of table at Christmas and no evidence of progression so far under the new boss. Playoffs is a challenge too far for this team.

Agree about quality squad not sure about Harris st moment think part of problem is certain players not performing at all? Laing as been next to useless for awhile Murphy not much better, us players out long term being pushed in last minute like today and what we have is an unbalanced team unable to get time together to form partnerships! Need to hope his buying players is good because we need something in January to alter things.

Very frustrating to watch. Hit and hope giving away possession all the time. Thought jazz had a good game. Hopefully he can stay fit

Poor tactics and side looked knackered. Out fought all over the pitch today, one shot on target at home is not good enough, onto Millwall and 3pts.

Name me any player that gets in Leeds first team or West Brom?

As I said in the match thread determination and confidence got us promoted under warnock we lost that after relagation hence why he’s not here and the squad was shown up for what it is, unbalanced lacking creativity, pace and the ability to string any passes together

It’s been pedestrian all season I’m amazed Harris has managed 12 points in 7 games to be honest

We need new centre backs, new full backs new wingers and a new midfield engine

Overhaul fully in my Opinion I said before a ball was kicked a midfield pairing of bacuna and ralls would not get us close to top 6 no creativity and both pass sideways more than they do forward as they can’t spot a pass

Laing and Murphy are missing 85 mins of any game they start, the strikers feed off scraps and moments of tomlin brilliance that’s it

Morrison and flint are too slow Bennett is ok but needs a rest, Richards ok if he can stay fit which I doubt Peltier solid but not a defender at his age for promotion

Vaulks not seen enough but what I have he ain’t the answer

Pack has been solid ish but lacks pace and when he does try to start moves off he’s got static wingers in front of him

Glatzel needs space ball to his head are no good and madine needs early balls in which can’t happen Cos there’s a 50 foot gap between our static wingers and him

We are about where we should be in the table and 12th place finish is no more than I expect and have said from august

Game other day had no shots at all on target it happens but at least we didnt lose! Dont go with shots on target really as a shot means just that a shot whether its brilliantly saved or barely reach goalie is classed same.. think they had one good save from Etheridge whole game.

Not many players will get into their teams from rest championship? No good saying this and that they must be better than what they have in that position... far to early for guessing where we finish as January hasnt gone yet and never know may address failings in team? But your right about glatzel and it's been same all season so nothing new .

At moment we are mid table at best

That was as bad as it could be, its going to be a long road to make a decent 11 out of the current squad.
Too many players uncomfortable on the ball and everyone just so slow.
The club better budget for losing about 5k in supporters for next season as only the diehards will turn up for the current rubbish being churned out

There’s no getting away from it, we were awful. They happened to be just as bad.

It's an expensive squad, but not particularly talented IMHO. Forget how City played today, it's just the players sheer lack of footballing ability - controlling the ball, passing the ball, moving, it's almost painful to watch

Very disappointing game,even when we made the two subs we looked very unbalanced.only bright side is it’s not too bad a point looking at where they are in the table.

We were lucky to get the nil

What was the point in replacing Warnock and then Dalman saying they wanted to go in a new direction only to appoint Harris who is a poor man's Warnock.

What was the game plan today, because I have no idea.

I don't agree with the comments claiming we have a quality squad. I think we have an average squad, and that is reflected in our league position. We are now half way through the season, and at this stage the league placings are a good indication of how good each team really is. I think we will finish roughly where we are today, and still believe a top ten finish is not beyond us. Two draws against the second and third placed sides is not too bad, but today's performance was very poor. I think some fans think we are a good side, but personally I think we are a long way behind the best sides in this league.

Its been a long time since we put in a good performance at home and hard to see when the next good performance is going to come from.
It could so easily have been Slade in charge such was the standard of performance.
Absolutely atrocious
Lets hope we can move a good 6 players out and bring in 3 or 4 players of quality ie players who can pass !

Watching in the Stadium was terrible for City fans but it must have been a lot worse if you watched it on Sky as a neutral! Should never have been chosen for live coverage at 12.30. I wonder how many viewers switched off. Absolutely dire.
