Time to terminate contract ... discuss

Re: Jazz 'sicknote' Richards

Fri Nov 22, 2019 1:58 pm

Should never have been given a new contract in the first place. Decent player when fit but we will be extremely lucky to get 10 games out of him this season. I am pretty sure Warnock said he was pretty close to returning but then suffered a swollen ankle in training. That was before the last international break as well. How long does it take to get over a swollen ankle!? Him and Connelly need to be offloaded as they are literally just a waste of wages. Looks like Vassel could also be another person who will be injured more often than he isn't.

Add Connolly as well, never understood how he was given another contract

How many times has a player become available and after much deliberation the sentence ends with “and he’s Welsh as well”
Well that’s how we got sucked into that one, waste of space

Re: Jazz 'sicknote' Richards

you cant just terminate his contract...

but this is the 4th or 5th one of these threads dating back to 2016...

should never have signed him

Wouldn't terminate just move him on in January if there is no change. seems more confident when he plays in a 5.. similar to Peltier in some ways but Peltier is more stronger.

No logic in extending his contract last summer.

Poor player

Agree. Get rid. Terrible attitude when he first arrived as well. I’ve very little time for him

Re: Jazz 'sicknote' Richards

Sat Nov 23, 2019 9:53 am

move him on ??? with his record who would take him worst deal we ever did what a swap that was a disaster

Given how our fans treated him when he didn't do the ayatollah in his first game, I'm not really surprised he doesn't have much motivation to get fit.

People forget these things.

Swansea were his hometown club and he played for them. Imagine what you would do if you were in that position.

If Swansea was in his blood,he should never have signed for Cardiff in the first place,if your not 100% committed

That's rubbish, he is a professional and surely he should want to play. He is just a crock and needs a job in a factory to appreciate his lifestyle

Motivation to get fit! Its his job for which he is paid a salary that 99% of us on this forum can only dream of. If he objected to doing the Ayatollah he should never have joined us. It wasn't as if we were asking him do it in front of the Jacks. It was first game away at Birmingham.

the welsh thing in this case just happened to be a bi product of Trollope doing what most do...bring in players you are familiar with that you think will do a job for you....

sorry don't know what you mean … it judged to work or not depending on the managers success..?

It’s a strange one. On his day he’s an excellent full back. That game against Belgium at the ccs he was brilliant. Also he had a good run for us a while back where he was our best player. But that was years ago!!

NW inherited JR. The poor judgement was extending his contact. He should be nowhere near our club now, but he is,,,,, a total and utter waste of money and resources.
Major blunder by the previous management, one of many, it has to be said.

I understood Trollope signing him, he knew him from the Wales set up and the boy is a decent full back..
didn't work out as many transfers do not at every club ..

the contract extension though. i don't get either..

Utter shambles giving him a new contract. Not sure any scope to undo what we have offered him.

What a load of crap you just posted.

Im sure even Jazz would laugh at it.

He's a grown man, being paid well to play a sport he loves.
I imagine he'd want nothing more than to be fit and on the pitch.

But to try blame rotten bad luck on the fans because of 1 incident is as ridiculous as the fans who said we hounded Warnock out.

not sure all players love the sport mind , some people are good at things but can take them or leave them..

I seem to be in the minority re Jazz Richards. He can play on either side and always does a decent job, However his injuries are a problem, he's n to played in a year or so and is out of contract in the summer, so will no doubt be going then. Same for Connolly, only he's just played one League Cup game last season. It should free up some wages for new players.

Maybe in January they'll have the option of going if they accept as they could get a contract somewhere else as opposed to wait until all the released players are looking for clubs next summer. The last two seasons , and this one have been a waste for both of them.
