Lee Tomlin Yes/No?

Fri May 31, 2019 8:56 am

What will happen with Tomlin this upcoming season?

Would you have him back or let him go? There is arguments for both decisions really.

On one side he has failed to really make a mark with us, been sent out on loan at Peterborough and Forest but not had much game time. Some deemed him not fit enough etc

On the other side when he is on top of his game he would be a great addition to any side wanting to push for promotion.

Below is what Lee put up on Twitter after he left Forest. Whether his head is elsewhere or just a goodbye tweet who knows.

Strangely enough, I was watching a compilation of Lt best moments and there were a few from when he was playing for us. Notably his goal at Reading and a turn v Sheff Utd that had the whole stadium going the other way.
Personally, I’d have another (last) go at saying “Come in, this is your chance to shine”.
It’s difficult when I don’t know all the facts mind, maybe he’s not cooperating at all and wants out.

There's obviously some bloody big problem with this player which we don't know about. He's talented but seems to have fitness problems and he can't seem to get on at any club for long.
It's a pity but I don't think we can rely on him and whatever the secret problem is, he's hard to get rid of to anyone.

I agree.
Such a shame though as he’s clearly very talented.

He can be quality ON the pitch but I agree that there’s obviously some problems off it.

He has been given chance after chance of it and I have heard he was also a problem for Warnock.

I would be leaning towards this tbh

Saying that, I obviously don't want any player in the dressing room if there's going to be problems from them etc

No chance , if you cannot keep yourself fit as a professional you may as well pack it in.

I honestly thought this was going to be a joke about him being a fat Steward or something

Its quite clear to me he isn't welcome at the club anymore, the guy must have some kind of attitude to not be bothered about getting fit. people say about motivation but he went to Peterborough which was supposed to be his big thing to go "home" yet after a good start I noticed he seem to be on the bench a lot.

Where would he even play? the only position would be as a number 10 and Reid is a million light years ahead of him. for Tomlin to even get close to fitness he would need to be playing each week.

it is of course a huge no.

No please, not the pie munchers return" along with madine and niasse.

One of the big advantages we will once again have this year is team spirit. No one player however good can be risked if there is a danger he will spread discontent in the dressing room and for that reason alone it has to be a no.

Yes that's true. But you can tell how motivated he is on the first day of pre season.

if his head is in it ,he would be awesome for us but he seems like he aint bothered

Quite easy. If he comes back motivated and in shape keep him. If he's overweight, out of shape or disinterested/disruptive get him out. Really talented player shame about his mentality.

A fit Lee Tomlin is exactly what we need this season.

The current Lee Tomlin is exactly what we dont need.

It's a shame because he is technically good enough to be a good premier league standard player but he seems to have the attitude of a Sunday league player

I would give him pre-season, if his attitude is right and he comes back a lot fitter then he is worth keeping if not then sack him

Tomlins had enough chances here and even at Peterborough so he has go. Also if we could sack him I am sure City would have already done it by now. Unfortunately we cant just sack him.

You would think not keeping yourself fit to a standard where you can actually carry out your job would be enough to sack somebody.

No please God no!!!

Seems to have too many issues and last thing we need is a prima Donna in a tight squad.
