Why wouldn't you ?
Actually the numbers were probably a lot more, but that's another conversation. The point remains, and a quote from Wiki seemed a diplomatic way to put it.
As I said, I wouldn't want to perpetuate ill feeling and I certainly don't hold Argentinians generally responsible , but equally I don't personally want to join in a singalong of Argentinian patriotic songs either.

Yes but those welsh speaking Patagonia were part of the officers that led the Argentines. Those Argentinians were conscripted those Patagonians were not

Can you tell me why a war between 2 governments over money has anything to do with the average football fan?
I've met a few Argentineans, nice people.
politics and football shouldn't be mixed.

How interesting. I really didn't know that .
I was certainly aware that there's been an historic interchange between Patagonia and F.I and a lot of family connections.
I had a quick google but I'll look into that a bit more deeply. Thank you .

I'm pretty sure he meant me actually. It's such an exact fit to my entire character you see. Anyway, the other chap seems to have very different views to me and and a distinctly different way of expressing himself .
I've taken it all on board though, put my trousers on and applied for a job collecting trolleys at the local supermarket. I'm still trying to decide upon the right hobby and at the moment I'm torn between collecting old spoons or damp Norwegian envelopes.

Did you even watch the video of people singing in a food court, not a stadium with seats empty. It came across as a snap reaction to a post with a little I don't hold grudges.... But....thrown in to cover yourself. They were singing an America song, that was changed into a chant to rile up the Brazilians. So I have no idea when you, yourself went on a rant about how we arnt patriotic enough and need to respect soldiers that have died. At this point you are literally arguing with people who haven't said anything of the sort. Then you visably try to come across more eloquent when challenged, tbh I am sure you are probably a very smart man, but sometimes you do come across as a insecure toss pot a bit wide of the mark. You often take opportunities or make opportunities to make yourself sound smart and revel in it. It's quite sad and smacks of insecurities. Someone who is comfortable with who they are wouldn't fabricate opportunities to sound like they know a thing or two if they weren't deeply insecure. And with the way you revelled in taking the piss further of the unemployed and "less intelligent" is quite frustrating, many in this climate deal with unemployment, mental health issues and are as intelligent as you claim to be. I'm going to guess daddy issues, just because you're so cringingly desperate to prove you know something, just chill, think and give it a rest
