What a difference it makes having a natural striker up front, what an outlet.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 7:33 pm
Plus he really isn’t up to match fitness yet. Can only get better.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 7:36 pm
Very pleased with him. He and Reid appear to be developing a good understanding and with Arter and Camarasa to return I can see him having a big impact for us. Today's result gives us a fighting chance; next week's game will be massive.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 8:50 pm
Honestly. I think he is the signing that can keep us up.
We have had a horrific couple weeks as a club but I actually thought that about him when he signed. He does what we haven't had. He is an outlet and he makes something out of nothing. Be it a corner or a throw in or just tests the defender.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:19 pm
Focal point and holds it up, runs channels and is a natural striker. Rusty at moment but only going to get better.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:35 pm
Plus he and Camarasa will forge an understanding together
Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:46 pm
He played very well today.
Maybe should have done better with his early chance.
But he works hard, chased down the keeper at every opportunity. Also, unlike Paterson, always has his head up looking for options. Nearly set up a couple of goals in the first half.
As it’s been said, not at 100% yet, which is why he’s been coming off early.
Made a huge difference.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:47 pm
He got on the end of 95% of the clearances out of defence/midfield with balls either straight to him or over the top for him to chase down, shame he didn’t score, there was no way Reid was letting him have that penalty
Sat Feb 02, 2019 9:56 pm
Holds the ball up well think he will do good for us
Sat Feb 02, 2019 10:14 pm
It’s the other stuff he does as well, that only a seasoned striker/forward does, for instance just before he came off we had a corner which the keeper ended up with, knowing full well Bournemouth were chasing the game he ran over and blocked the keeper, slowing up the play which enabled our guys to get back into thier positions.
It’s this sort of thing we have been missing not having a natural forward up front recently.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 10:33 pm
Looks the part. Strong, can hold it up, carry it. First touch let him down once or twice but hopefully that will improve with match sharpness.
Him and Reid and forming a decent partnership.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 10:51 pm
Makes a huge difference for me the team. Paterson upfront they have little option than to hit and hope. Niasse can take it into feet and make things happen and bring others into play.
Sat Feb 02, 2019 10:55 pm
He is everything Zahore should be!
The difference between the two is not in ability but attitude and work ethic
Sat Feb 02, 2019 10:59 pm
Superb performance from Niasse, but also a big mention for Reid today, he was all over the pitch, defence. midfield, out wide, very impressive. Really exciting that its early days for our new top two

Hopefully Zohore will learn from Niasse and make him a better player for us
Sat Feb 02, 2019 11:21 pm
Niasse don’t brilliant today... if we stay up and manage to buy all loan players thennext season could be good for us.
Sun Feb 03, 2019 12:10 am
I turned to the man standing next to me today and said it’s lovely to see a striker running the channel. It’s gives us so much more options and long may it continue. We will have off days between now and the end of the season. But after the last two games I am feeling a lot more positive.
Sun Feb 03, 2019 12:17 am
I think with him in the team we could stay up.
Before I saw the last two games with him an Reid I gave us no chance. Could of done with him at the start of January
Sun Feb 03, 2019 12:19 am
It's frustrating that Reid hadn't played more games as nunber 10 but I belive it's down to not having a striker. Our two best home games imo Fulham and today and Reid crucial in both.
Sun Feb 03, 2019 2:11 am
Niasse was brilliant today. Held the ball up well, brought other into the game, and ran the channels well. Looks a tad clumsy at time mind when he's running with the ball

but I think the partnership between Niasse and Reid is vital in giving us a chance to stay up. Might even give Zohore the kick up the arse he's needed.
Sun Feb 03, 2019 7:48 am
Thought he made A BIG difference. Thought it strange he stayed at the tunnel at the end of the game when everybody else was celebrating ; did anybody else see this? Let’s get behind him, he needs a song and lots of support. Keep him keen, build his confidence. Bobby Reid is a different player with him as a striking partner.

Got my vote as MOM. There were some excellent performances today, e.g. Bennett, Bamba, Ralls, Paterson but although Reid scored 2 goals & didn’t stop running I thought Niasse was outstanding.
Could tell that he had that Premiership experience. Didn’t stop running, held the ball up well & linked well with those around him. Looks a good partnership between him and Reid.
Good to see Zohore give 100% when he came in as well. He looked sharp.
Sun Feb 03, 2019 9:28 am
Willing runner, but that touch reminded me of Leo expect him to frustrate you more than please in his time here
Sun Feb 03, 2019 9:32 am
What I liked especially was his partnership with Reid and those subtle looping runs he made to avoid offside.
He's about 80% match fit, so needs to be given patience, which wasn't given at Everton.
Sun Feb 03, 2019 10:53 am
Team performance yesterday! Great to see more movement up front and the ball being played into the channels and not just aimed in the air to a static centre forward consequently we look a much better ream that gives us hope.
I hope that is the benchmark for the remaining games and Warnock left with some tough (but in a good way ) decisions for next week’s game at Saints regarding Arter and if fit Camarasa.

Camarasa was up in the Ricoh yesterday before the game. Confirmed that he will be ok for next week.

Still think he's a little rusty and haven't seen the best yet

he is going to get better and so will Reid
More confidence in the midfield to know the ball will get used up front
Sun Feb 03, 2019 1:31 pm
Niasse and Reid have to start, if we are going to have any chance of staying up. Let's hope we are more positive going forward, nothing to lose, everything to gain

Leo’s touch was sublime...it’s just that he always over compensated on the spin.

I remember somebody on the forum saying everton fans in the pub where not all that bothered about him niasse ,i commented everton fans where not always happy with lukaka and from what i saw of him in games on tv and what my brother in law said he would be a perfect fit for cardiff, it was a no brainer,so pleased to see him here bit like bamba in his demeanour aswell, also so nice to see a pairing of 2 strikers niasse and reid playing together as apposed to the lone man upfront, the change of tactics has also helped dramatically by accident, but to get the 2 playing together has worked and long may it continue so happy last night me and my mate driving home over the brecon beacons talking all the way home about the performance also the performance of us fans bril all round.
