I posted one on you tube with the words, which was a combination of “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina” melody and the words inspired and based on the 70 foot flag which some amazing City fans took to Nantes. (Which you also may think that was over the top as well????? )
I removed the video (as despite the time and effort it took me with the video software and the many thumbs up) as some fellow bluebirds were calling it disrespectful, shite and a joke. And even questioning my intentions. Honestly what’s the matter with some people,
Emiliano looks destined for another regergitated, generic and copied over familiar chant with the words changed, probably a Liverpool one again.
Hope I am wrong, because as a club and fan base we have handled this tragedy respectfully and have been a credit to Emilianos family and the football world.

Surely we can't do this until the bodies are found and/or the legal processes are exhausted?

Absolutely, however, lines can and have been crossed at times which has moved the respect into the realms of disrespect.
As an example, the phrase, I feel like I have lost a family member has been used by a few posters. That is disrespectful to those that have actually lost a loved one and we should not be imposing ourselves on their grief.
I'm sure people's intentions are in the right place but it's crossed lines at times and it does seem like some people have tried to make this about 'us'.

I can take constructive criticism no probs, it’s a chant that’s never going to be for everyone, just like Allez Allez! But to make out my idea or anyone else’s chant suggestion is done for a bit of personal glory or in this case as a joke, is hugely insulting. Sadly an often common spat on this board.
I agree comparing it to losing a family member is a bit over dramatic, and as a club we need to move on respectfully, Vince Payne’s post this morning is what we should be all about.

Yeah I thought that. But it might be that the bodies are never found.
That’s why songs are so good.

Obvious to me,that these posters are pathetic human beings,no understanding that is not your run of the mill"former player dies" senario, how people show emotion/s is up to the individual, and affects people vastly different to others (these said posters)how dare you suggest fans are wallowing in his loss, just because you feel it's not affected you (as badly as some) you think you can put down those posters, who are trying to think of ways to alleviate their sorrow?? I cannot believe some people, this has been a very emotionally charged period for the club and all that follow it,let people grieve, show respect, for a player, who a lot of fans hoped would fire the goals to keep our club in the premier league.just because he hadn't played for us,doesn't mean we cannot grieve his loss.F***ING IDIOTS!!

Knew him personally did you? I afraid I think you have a problem grieving for a complete stranger. I have lost a son, so I know what true grief is like. Afraid I am unable to grieve for someone I saw a photograph of, or a couple of minutes on youtube. Did'nt know the lad, never set eyes on him, he was a complete stranger to me.I am terribly sorry for his parents as I know how they feel. I will let them grieve for him, they knew him and will miss him terribly. Unfortunately, I cant miss anyone who I never knew in the first place.

I'm so sorry that you lost your son. RIP. I couldn't even start to imagine how that must feel.
