we are short of quality, and have tried to rectify it, signed 3 players including a club record fee and had deals fall through { which all clubs have }.

What bullshit, life and the season go on, we needed strength we didn’t get it. It’s disappointing, we had an opportunity and didn’t take it for many reasons. Hardly classless. But as I say I am not interested in whether you like my opinion. And brexit is what it is fella, No sense in letting wind you up.

It’s remarkable to think how far we have come since then, I remember those days well, we are a well run club undoubtedly these days and Mehmet and Ken Choo can take a huge amount of credit. And I don’t doubt they tried to get the signings, my concern is the scouting network. Again to be told we can’t get better than the likes of Connolly, ralls and Paterson is frightening.

I will add at this point, Paterson is developing as a striker, that doesn’t happen over night and needs time but we don’t have it. Niasse has shown he could be a handful. I am not disappointed we didn’t get a striker, I understand that, we needed a better midfielder to sit in with arter to free up camarasa. That one signing would have made a huge difference to our season.

The “not better than we have got” comment isn’t just about the perceived skill level of the players but also I guess the temperament, attitude,work rate, etc.

We play a certain style of football where manager expects a high level of physical effort and energy, a high value on team spirit and be able to compliment the squad on and off field. That is why they did the due diligence on Sala for 2 months before spending a record fee as Warnock was utterly convinced he met all that criteria hence improving the squad.

There is no point going for a player that isn’t up for a relegation battle, may disrupt the dressing room ,etc and then we are left with an unhappy player on a big wage who doesn’t want to be here if the worse happens in May.

The tragic events of the other week impacted our ability to get players in more than we will ever know I suspect .

All we can ask of the team and our manager is to give their all over the coming games and try to play like they did Tuesday evening

I really don't care. but I think £3m for a player who will more likely be used as back up and not ever really touch the first team reeks a bit of desperation. we all know when Morrison is back, Manga will be back at right back. Baccuna isn't any better than our current wide men so I wouldn't expect him to start up there, so to me he will be cover....I will end this by saying, when I was critical of the Tomlin signing, because of how over weight he was and unprofessional, a lot on here slated me saying, Warnock is the man to get him right, he's since flopped and gone and the same posters who criticised me have criticised the signing. and the same thing happened with Madine..... so before we criticise Baccuna we need to let it play out.....am I not really disappointed with the lack of activity this January, the club seem to be accepting of the fact relegation is a certainty, so I'd rather us go down with some decent finances rather than pissing the cash up the wall,
